Stuck in Lock-down, encourages a few more visits to the forums than normal .. and there seems to be a few people getting stuck with this feature.. so I decided to make a Quick-Tip about an easy way of maneuvering this. There's the 'long way' and there's there's this.. which I consider the short way... especially if you don't plan on using your MPC to make your entire song.. I'm not much of a frequent Ableton user.. but, a bunch of friends have it, so this one's for the Ableton crew!
PS. feel free to send a 'tip' via the virtual tip-jar, known as the 'Super Thanks' button under the clip above 🙏🏻

Thank you so much..this was a huge help. Akai better fix this issue in the next big update or they need to for sure make the Mpc software into an official DAW. Shouldn’t have to do all these workarounds to do something that should be a lot easier considering they tout Ableton integration as some sort of feature
Great Video!!! Thanks for helping me with this issue. I was getting tired of exporting the other way. I appreciate this! Please keep creating videos!!
Yeah, at first I thought 'what a godsend this Explode concept is!', then in practice.. it shifted my other tracks up, created blank tracks of nothing... exported the 'muted' tracks.. and then I had to go fetch them from a folder and drag them in anyway (at the wrong sample rate too!)... it made quite a mess, so at least this way.. you have much more control without folder-diving 🥰 thanks for watching 🙏🏼
Yes! Thank you for this video. I didn't like being locked into song mode, and like you said, exploding tracks can get messy.
Cheers! Yeah, I prefer the MPC integrate 'with', or 'contributes' too, the pre-existing eco-system (studio) rather than it being the 'centerpiece'👌🏻
This was really cool and helpful.
Thanks for the feedback 🙏🏻
Thank you!!!
You're welcome, hope it helps 🤓🙏🏼
If I understand correctly this method is only when the MPC one/live is in controller mode?
And when in controller mode you do not acceas the sounds that are in the mpc one/live right?
Any tips on how to do this when using the mpc one in standalone mode? Thanks!
Correct. You can only achieve this in Controller Mode.. and when in Controller Mode, you can't access the internal system drive. So, to get around that.. the best thing you can do is get an SD card and copy what you need across to the SD card while in Stand Alone (or mount a 2nd internal Drive.. I installed a 2TB HD in my X) 👍🏼
I wonder if this works with logic pro loop view
Does this work with Cubase?
It should.. I haven't tried it, but the VST should open and the widgets and elements inside the plugin should work all the same 👍🏼
@@tonelab In case anyone else reads this later, I tried it in Cubase and it worked great.
