Is it possible to do this when one doesn’t have a gummy smile? My molars and teeth came a few mm from Invisalign. It makes my lower face look extremely long. Is it possible to intrude my arches for a better look? I’m desperate!
@@Anita-cc1fb well I have a surgeon who says he can impact my maxilla about 2 mm which would shorten everything… but unfortunately it would make my teeth look really short when I smile. Somehow my lip moved downward fr the treatment as well. I’m trying to figure out whether it is worth it. What exactly happened to you?
@@EllaArmstrong25 hi I had 4 teeth extracted and braces to fix a severe overjet a few years ago, although it fixed my bite I'm still not happy with my smile and mouth :/ I cannot close my mouth naturally and my upper teeth show at rest cos my top lip doesn't cover them. I think I have vertical maxillary excess and was wondering if tads would push the upper teeth up a bit. But when I smile my gums don't really show anymore though they used to
@@Anita-cc1fb I’d definitely talk to a jaw surgeon to see what they say. I met with one and he recommends impacting my maxilla about 2mm even though I don’t have a gummy smile. I know this can be done with ortho but I can’t find any ortho that agrees to do it.
So they lift the maxilla without surgery.

Shouldn't the TADs be between the lateral and the canines then run a box elastic from them to the mx anterior brackets?
I have same case 1yr completed, still under process 4 molaras may be it will take 6 more months 😢...
