Oh wow I worked through an agency before but they gave us a video of their consultation with the client, then we decided if we want to take on the client. Then we met with the client so they could sort of interview us. I worked basically directly with the client after that, rarely had to deal with the agency. I also know that particular agency paid the VAs more than they kept, so if they charged $40, they took $18, the VA got $22.
That sounds like a great deal! It really depends on the agency. Each agency operates differently.
