It's good to see that team get another win. They work so hard all the time and it's nice to see it pay off.
That is the flagship car at HMS really. It is Jeff’s team basically and Chase has the pressure to win in Jeff’s old ride because he has his last crew chief and spotter.

man. Hamlin was sucking it up before Richmond. since he's been running up front but had dirt get in and destroy the engine at Bristol, had his team not put enough fuel in his car at Talladega and had to save fuel and pit with a lap to go, and now has a wheel fall off and gets caught up in Cody Ware's spin. Some bad luck.

I was there both Sunday and Monday and the energy from the crowd both days was electric. The new car has made Dover a fun watch again.

I used to go to Dover as a kid every year, we would rent a rv and camp out all weekend, the best/most memorable race I have been to was in 2001, the first broadcasted sporting event after 9/11 and Dale Jr won!

I'm a Harvick fan but my god the cars they are giving this guy to drive are complete garbage.
They've had more wheels com off in the last 11 races since using 1 lug nut than in the last 2 years.
What a poorly thought out idea they had. Nascar cites safety for the fans if a wheel flies off but yet they designed a wheel that’s more prone to flying off.
Last time I checked, the public version of every car you see on track has a steel wheel and 5 lug nut option.

They need to tighten them up better instead of cutting time on the stop. Not the engineering it's the tire changers fault.

Why is the 51 car allowed on the track? Regardless of which driver you pull for, they're in danger with that car running anywhere on the circuit. Every week, he causes at least one caution, usually for a solo spin, and typically collects others in the process.

F1 never has a problem with it. Its called pit crews gotta be better they r humans they make mistakes
Or if teams made an effort to tighten the one lug nut. Indy Car and F1 almost never have this issue.

The season is becoming the Hendrick showboat show. Toyota's were a little more competitive today but where was Ford once again? Ford may as well tell their drivers to stay home.
It's Team Chevy year! Nascar and IndyCar racing
HMS and Chevy have been working hard. They had less wind tunnel time than any other team, but they make gains where nobody else thinks to make gains. Chad Knaus and Ray Evernham are that smart. I think Ray is helping out too at least. So is RCR with engines. Going to a common Chevy engine did wonders for Chevy.

Chevrolets were strong at the end of last year so I don't buy your take on this at all. This next Generation car has even made the Camaro better. And I doubt Chevrolet had less wind tunnel time than any of the other two manufacturers. If they did it's because they didn't need it because they already knew they were dominate. Even the small market Chevrolet teams are running up front.

Okay they need to do something about the tires here. Every time the tires spin here at dover they are getting flats. These bigger rim cars can't take the shear force required when a car goes sideways. I think its a major safety issue that should be addressed soon.
Dover known for suspension problems and more calm racing but calm racing isn't Because we saw 10 cautions and wheel to wheel battle, Larson spin without hitting the high wall, Truex on the way for podium finish lost it in final corner, Hamlin tyre want to win the most incredible challenge that calls cross the pitlane exit line before his car very funny, Elliott breaks the losing streak and become a race winner this season the 9 different driver in 11 races incredible 🤩🤩🤩

Ryan Blaney and his Mustang won a stage race today, whoopee!!! I don't think I've ever seen Ford look so bad at every track like they are this year. And after watching that recent race at Talladega where they were all in the back of the field it's hard to imagine how a Ford found victory Lane at the Daytona 500 this year. Meanwhile Hendrick drivers are at the front of the pack in every race it seems. Something's just not right here.
Ford started off strong the first 3 races and then slowly started falling off.. sad to see as a Ford guy

Cars been completely losing a wheel every week? That single center nut was a BAD idea, NASCAR. Fix it!
They need to go take lessons from F1 if they want to act like them.
@@lewislambert4590 At 1,995lbs for an F1 car VS 3,300lbs for a NASCAR cup car, the vibratory crossthread resonance across the threaded square footage of a cup car wheel nut is almost twice that of an F1 car, assuming all supporting factors to be equal: nut width, diameter, circumference, metallurgical, thread depth and width, etc. Since system resonance is the primary source and cause of joint torque and interconnect part slippage, this higher "rhythmic vibratory shaking" of a freshly mounted and torqued wheel nut is taking place at a rate of progressive parts alignment slippage almost twice that of the F1 wheel assembly. This is causing repeated losses of wheels during NASCAR races. The immediate solution is, of course, for NASCAR to test a locknut upgrade for cup car wheel nuts which at least to start with, is a nylon locknut. Give some disposable test nuts to teams and see what team engineers say after testing. "Nut Up". 🙂

I didn't realize the race was rained out on Sunday. I recorded it but a family member must have canceled my recording. So I recorded the Monday 11am "replay" only to find out that was the race and not a replay.
Single lug nuts have been in use for decades, how do these guys still get it wrong.

It's been about 10 years since I last watched a nascar race. Do they not just do the whole race anymore in one go? What are the different stages?
I honestly forget why it went to stages in the first place. It's not really a 3-4-500 when you take breaks. These are just multiple sprint races run consecutively.
NASCAR executives hate racing and want to be the NFL, so they added football style “quarters” (there’s 3 so I guess you could call them “periods” like in hockey). It’s an excuse to throw a yellow flag and get some commercials on screen

While it's still possible they can turn it around, as long as the possibility there could be more then 16 different race winner is still out there, if you have just the one win, and have the fewest points, you might still miss the playoffs. Like Hamlin, or Cendric or Briscoe. While I doubt we get more then 16 different winners after Daytona if I were those drivers I would try and make as few mistakes as possible to increase my chances to make the playoffs, just in case.

I thought 1 LUG Wheels were supposed to be the safer way to go, that's why we can't have 5 LUGs, Rite? But Ive seen more runaway wheels this season only compared to what, the past 10 seasons put together. Get your S together Nascar
they are much safer than what 18-in aluminum wheels with five lug nuts would be. if it was aluminum wheels with five lug nuts you would be seeing a lot more Wheels falling off or braking because of lose lug nuts
