You can see his pure and very passionate love for the instrument in his eyes so clearly. In fact, you can see a lot in his eyes. It's similar to how a blind person hears more clearly than normal because that is how the world appears to them. Jason now communicates everything through his eyes, and they have become beautifully expressive as a result. Some of this is sad yea, I'm sure he misses playing, but some other of his talents have grown as a result. I think his compositions are deeper, and more soulful than ever now. I'm SHOCKED by the majority of these replies. WTF. What Max is doing here is not only a musical gift, first to guitarists, then to other musicians and anyone else interested in Jason's music, technique, and modern electric guitar in general. Guitarists should have nothing but praise and thank-you's to Jason, Max, and DC Music. This was obviously a labor of love for Max, and THANKFULLY Jason agreed--he didn't have to. So, since so many who are making comments are totally off and on Planet Buttwart, I will do what anyone watching this should do, by saying: Thank you, Max, Jason, and Denis (DC Music) for presenting this awesome gift to guitar players and musicians anywhere and everywhere!
Well said Denis. I for one, am grateful to have someone like Max breakdown Jason's incredible compositions and techniques and document them in high quality video for us to enjoy. Don't let these morons ill thought comments discourage your good work.
Jason is looking at that guy like an old kung fu master looks at his student when they master a new technique. if only he could stroke his beard.......
Jason's style of playing arpeggios is definately my favorite. It's actually the reason why I started listening to his music. Some guitarists use it just for wank bullshit, but Jason always makes it musical in the most interesting of ways!
we cover this in the video, Jason doesn't just actually run up and down arpeggios, he does certain little ornaments as well, and he sometimes uses specific fingerings to achieve a specific sound!
Max is a brilliant guitarist promoting and explaining the musical genius that Jason was and is today. They re long time pals and he is a dedicated fan. In this wonderful course there is not or ever will be "douche-iness" involved.Jason picked him up for the job and thats enough for me. Give the guy a break and maybe we all learn a part of Jason's Un-fraking-believable-Allien like-mastery of the instrument.

I agree about the sad part, to an extent, but just listen to what he is doing now. His compositional abilities have become much better, and he is still doing what he loves most: making music. He hasn't let himself die or fall into obscurity because of his illness. He has instead carried on, because it is who he is as a person that matters most, just like all of us. *Jason used to **_just_** be a guitar hero, now he is a Hero in every sense of the word.*

Probably should have done it when I was 20 not 36 but if Jason can do what he has done in his challenging life then I can noodle out some epic arpeggios as show by this very talented fellow shredding right beside the legend himself! Thanks for decades of inspiration and perspective! Love ya always Jason!
Big props to Max, first for doing the video, and then coming on here with all the rude comments, and not once being a troll. What was I going to play for this guy without being laughed out of the room? And, I've seen quite a few notable pros do the same thing. Good on you, Max!
I love it when Jason smiles! So sad that he was literally the greatest guitar player ever (And still is), and he just had to get that talent ripped away from him. Plus he’s so cool, he’s just chillin with a snake in his lap, legend!
I really respect Jason's friends and family for keeping him involved in music all these years. I can't imagine living any other way as a musician. I'd have to be part of it somehow even if it's just answering yes and no questions.
I love how the vid just cuts from the dude shredding and Jason just sitting there, to the guy talking and then Jason has a big motherfucking snake on his lap. Made me laugh.
I watched this video a bunch of times before I went into the comments. Honestly beyond shocked that anyone had anything negative to say about it. This helped me so much, I thought it was fantastic.
Hi. I don't care what you do or what's going on, I'm happy to see Jason any which way you got. In Jason's short time scratching strings, he added a lot of joy to my life.
Holy Crap I wouldn't even be able to pick up a guitar in front of Jason let alone try playing like him!!! Sooooo glad to see him still hanging in there…God bless you Jason!!!!!
Jason if you read this i would like to say that for me you are a model I am French and i m 15 and want to say to you that you are amazing and maybe it won't be really important from a little 15 years old player but I am totally crazy about what you do and what you did, for me you are the perfect illustration of the best musician, I would like to say that I support you and share to you all of my love because you deserve it
It must be hell being a prisoner in you're own body. I really hope they find a cure for ALS and other similar diseases in the near future. Rock on Jason!
Who else wants to start a petition to the US government to help in the funding of research trials to finally cure this ALS disease? We need to get Jason Becker back to full health so he can play his guitars for us again! I can't imagine the hell he must be going through seeing someone else play his songs on his guitars while he is unable to do so himself. Lets get the cure for this Guitar Legend!
It's wonderful Jason is still with us but i know deep inside he is like i totally want to be the one teaching and inspiring the world with my chops..... Much love J-becker
This is pretty spot the fuck on. Max nails this and the rest of the Jason Becker Instructional series... The guy is a super accomplished player... straight up guys.
I can't see more than one minute of this video. My friend Jason, a brilliant musician and human being in the predicament he's in. I just clicked to see if that was the Ibanez anniversary guitar I have. Friggin love you, always man-stay strong.
It's such a pity, what happened to Jason. He is/was one of the best guitarists I know. But still, he keeps on fighting, and that's incredibly awesome!!! Mr. Becker, I salute you! You're real inspiration!!!
But there is something beautiful happening here too. Just look at him, he is more driven, inspired, and even better as a composer now than ever before. *Jason is a Hero now,* not _just a guitar hero._ He is a true Hero in every sense of the word, and we are all blessed to be able to witness it, and in turn be inspired to greater achievements.
Man, I wish I could hang out with Jason. He is a mad cool genius. He can play better with his eyes, than I can with my entire body. The dude is just made of music. Breaks my heart that he can't play anymore.
He seems to be in good spirits!! We have here in Finland our multiplayer/ musician producer ; Pave Maijanen whom got ALS and very rapidly lost his playing skills and now in 1- year after diagnose he is now in not so good shape. Prayers to Mr.Becker( he is my age!!) And all whom suffer this sickness.
Everyone who sees this, pick up your guitar, and play just for Jason Becker, remember how lucky you are.

I love it when Jason smiles! So sad that he was literally the greatest guitar player ever (And still is), and he just had to get that talent ripped away from him. Plus he’s so cool, he’s just chillin with a snake in his lap, legend!
I love how Jason is still inspiring people to play the guitar even though he can no longer play the instrument himself. The man is a legend 👍🏼
Jason is such a genius.
One of my favorite people ever: Jason Becker!!!!! Thanks, guys!!!!!
god bless jason, his spirit is HUGE!
I really respect Jason's friends and family for keeping him involved in music all these years. I can't imagine living any other way as a musician. I'd have to be part of it somehow even if it's just answering yes and no questions.
... is Jason holding a snake?
Jason is holding Max's snake Monty... Yes .. Yes I know it can mean two things....
DC Music School It's quite the impressive snake.
***** yeah it is.
I love how the vid just cuts from the dude shredding and Jason just sitting there, to the guy talking and then Jason has a big motherfucking snake on his lap. Made me laugh.
Man I didn't even notice it until you said something. Yeah it is a ball python that looks to be pretty chilled out sitting there.
I watched this video a bunch of times before I went into the comments. Honestly beyond shocked that anyone had anything negative to say about it. This helped me so much, I thought it was fantastic.
I wish Jason could get his muscle movement back. Amazing that he’s been around so long with ALS.
Hi. I don't care what you do or what's going on, I'm happy to see Jason any which way you got. In Jason's short time scratching strings, he added a lot of joy to my life.
Man, Ibrahimovic can play!
haha, I knew I had seen this guy somewhere, the exact replica!!
Ibra cadabra!!
His name is Max Dible actually...
Holy Crap I wouldn't even be able to pick up a guitar in front of Jason let alone try playing like him!!! Sooooo glad to see him still hanging in there…God bless you Jason!!!!!
Imagine they find a cure for him and he builds back up over a few years his skills and releases the guitar album of all albums. I wish it could happen
There is breakthrough research in Crispr technology being done on ALS, actually.
Neuralink perhaps?
@Feeby Peels think neuro link is for spinal injuries 👍
Jason if you read this i would like to say that for me you are a model I am French and i m 15 and want to say to you that you are amazing and maybe it won't be really important from a little 15 years old player but I am totally crazy about what you do and what you did, for me you are the perfect illustration of the best musician, I would like to say that I support you and share to you all of my love because you deserve it
He looks like Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
+Kee eeV Yes he does.
@@kawakami thx i was looking for this comment!
Also like Bolsonaro
I think about Jason a lot and more lately. He is a legend and a hero to me.
JASON BECKER = GENIUS 🎸🎶💯
thank You
Jason is the BEST GUITAR PLAYER EVER ♥
This is the moment where everybody cry
Playing Serrana in front of Jason.... 1000% respect!!
It must be hell being a prisoner in you're own body. I really hope they find a cure for ALS and other similar diseases in the near future. Rock on Jason!
Jason's facial expressions are priceless. You can almost see what he is thinking. It's great to see him smile.
Really good playing buddy! Looks like Jason approves:)
Thanks Mr. Jason Becker, for the amazing and Devine inspiration of feel free by soul. My regards and improvement to your Life.
You mean the ice bucket challenge XD
I just needed The first seconds to realize this guys has studied jason's material , excellent Job !
Jason has a look on his face like I'm gonna slap the shit out of you if you miss that lick again.
Give this man the power of getting back on his hands and he will play music from future. Happy birthday 🎂🎉
Noise gate emergency here!!!! Love Jason though
Jason is the best, thanks to his solos and his great technique I learned a lot, the best!
Que emoção da porra ver uma cena dessa
Jason Becker in a living legend! one of the best in the world....
WHY IS NO ONE COMMENTING ON THE PYTHON ON HIS LAP
oh wtf, just saw that
Every time i watch to this video, there is a tear in my eye
I think it's important to notice that there appears to be a python on Jason's lap. Lol
Just chilling, hearing some arpeggios...I would of missed it like 99% of the ppl. Good observation, sherlock.
You can tell how much Jason is enjoying it... and how badly he wants to play 💔😭 We love you Jason 💜💜💜
Lol why is there a big ass snake on Jason? Awesome video, and awesome song! Perfect video!
we appreciate you very much Jason
FIRMLY GRASP IT!!!

Jasonn!!!! U must know you are a TOTAL INSPIRATION TO ME. THANK U FOR MAKING MY LIFE MORE MEANINGFUL
I didn't notice the snake until 4 minutes in. Lol cool
This is pretty spot the fuck on. Max nails this and the rest of the Jason Becker Instructional series...
The guy is a super accomplished player... straight up guys.
Ibra playing guitar?
well, you know, he's f*cking GodZlatan
l
Lions do not compare themselves with guitarists
I can't see more than one minute of this video. My friend Jason, a brilliant musician and human being in the predicament he's in. I just clicked to see if that was the Ibanez anniversary guitar I have. Friggin love you, always man-stay strong.
Someone needs a noise gate
True, but all and all the playing is good
Noise gate please guys
Why? He's giving a demo not recording an album. If anything; you get a noise gate for when youre playing it.
It's such a pity, what happened to Jason. He is/was one of the best guitarists I know. But still, he keeps on fighting, and that's incredibly awesome!!! Mr. Becker, I salute you! You're real inspiration!!!
Wow, this is so sad
alexa play desp...
metriko100 Que idiota, aunque me dió risa xd
But there is something beautiful happening here too. Just look at him, he is more driven, inspired, and even better as a composer now than ever before.
*Jason is a Hero now,* not _just a guitar hero._ He is a true Hero in every sense of the word, and we are all blessed to be able to witness it, and in turn be inspired to greater achievements.
it's sad at first, but also beautiful. His work inspiring others.
Absolutely Dope. Your awesome. Love you Jason.
with all the necessary respect. is it considered a sin that i had to laugh a bit when the player did the mistake at 00:33 amd jasons mouth went :/ ?
Jason you are the one!
with all the other guitarists Jason knows, I wish he would have had someone else do this video.
why tf
I can not imagine how intimidating that it must be to play his music for him.. Kudos to you
Jason looks like he wants to punch that guy square in the face
mase ofspades ajajajaja I thought the same thing XD
+mase ofspades SMH Why am I letting this dude play my shit. Can't even do it right.
+mase ofspades If I had the same problem, I would feel like punching anyone in the face, regardless of who they were.
they have been close friends for over 15years u idiot.
mase ofspades yea those last accents were sad
Man, I wish I could hang out with Jason. He is a mad cool genius. He can play better with his eyes, than I can with my entire body. The dude is just made of music. Breaks my heart that he can't play anymore.
Zlatan is it you?
Jason and Marty recently worked on a song together called horrors check it out! If you are a cacophony fan like me.
3:09 His smile
Amazing, thx for the vid guys. One of the best "neo-classical" phenomenal arpeggio runs
jason " eyebrow means get the fuck out. Lip means get the fuck out."
hahahahaah....damn u i extracted the wisdom tooth today and i shouldnt laugh :DDDDDDDD
