When that happened there was noone that came to at least notify the residents near what was going on.THAT IS SAD.
They punish those in rural area
The first responders are the ones who were against the vent and burn. While they might've been volunteers, it doesn't mean they didn't know how to handle the situation. And if they didn't know what was in the cars, then the cars were not properly placard, and that is a violation that is on the railroad company. The whole shit show is on the railroad company, if they're the ones who authorized the vent and burn, which they have no authority to do. They should've continued to cool the cars and offload the hazardous materials instead of essentially nuking the town.
There's some interesting videos of that train right before it derailed. Looks like an explosion and fire before the crash.
They must have buried that footage.
