at 5 minutes you mention an interesting video and you don't link to that, but with your merch, you definitely link it up no problem. If you want people to support business blaze you should just genuinely put in more effort. Knowing that, something really easy like googling your own video and linking it would be not only good self-promotion for you but it would also show that you're not lazy, which is way easier to support. After all, there are only so many viewers on youtube and people only support who they really like.

Well, it is a mystery why he has so many subscribers when he seems to make several mistakes each episode and doesn’t even know Jefferson starship or guns and roses. Maybe people tune in to watch him pretend to be smart? After all, how many people have clearly changing accents and speech inflections as videos go on?

@@AFantasticCat I'll leave your comment, and try to get this across in friendly context -
As of at least 8 or 9 years ago my mum moved to London england, from canada. Recently shes begun to pick up their accents, phrases, and mannerisms after prolonged exposure and adjustment.
Icant claim to know where Simon might be recording from, as he often gives vague pronoun statements like "usa, we're number one" and "when I lived in england" followed by others. So I'm inclined to think he's in the United states.
After prolonged exposure, even Simon would be able to adjust the way he speaks. Adjustment also helps further improvement on a language, dialect or even just accent.
I'm sure if you or someone you knew lived somewhere else for long enough you would be able notice it eventually. Again my mothers been in england for at least 8 years and Its only just begun to phase in

True that it can happen.. but you seem to make the impression that English has one type of inflection to copy.. as I understand there are many and not each localized. If you actually went back and forth in these videos you would see in this case it is an odd one. The top video vids he does are especially notable and in fact the way he speaks distracts from the content (and not in a fun way like Chills).

I mean, $500 for an all expense included music fest isn't that expensive, really. I mean, I used to go to cons whenever I could (and no, I'm not nor have I ever been rich). Say $100 for the lowest tier entrance fee, around $60-100/night at a hotel, food, and travel, and you're looking at a fairly expensive vacation but not outside the realm of feasibility.
So I agree, it's very possible that there were people that weren't rich present, and I do feel bad for them. Some cons I've gone to were exactly that: a con. Especially Wizard World, the most generic, corporatized convention ever. Frankly, its amazing they don't charge you for every time you use the bathroom. . .

They did not have enough space for us so they put us in a huge circus clown tent. 500 people jammed inside this massive tent in Florida in July. The top brass decided that a carpet would be good for morale so they lined the tent with carpet and we had out cots on top. BUT we were in a flood plain and it rained and the carpet got soaked. To make matters worse we do not know when they set up the carpet or the tent as mosquitoes started coming up threw the carpet to attack us. It was disgusting, the stench was unbearable, and most of us came down with Ring Worm. . . .Allegedly. Topping off this mess was that we were training with the Canadian military in Florida of all places. So our cooks thought it would be nice to issue packets of maple syrup with every meal. If I understand it correctly, the 70s rock band "Jefferson Airplane" became "Jefferson Starship" and then just "Starship" over the course of about 15 years. (I'm not looking it up for a six-week old video.) Also: Bananarama = "Cruel Summer", "Venus" (Lyrics: "I'm your Venus/I'm your fire/At your desire") and "I Heard a Rumor".

People used to dig tunnels under the fences at Glastonbury festival, they charged a tenner to go through. Part of the reason security went up in the mid 90s was because me and a mate took gate two (traders gate) off its hinges at 3am two years in a row to get in (though I had free tickets) and driving back through the site next day, back to gate two to get my vehicle pass.
That kinda showed a bit of a security flaw.
The next year the whole fence was bigger and gate 2 became a mass security zone.
    Whoops, sorry.

Originally they got Pablo's island but the owners said "Don't say it was owned by Pablo" so Billy had ONCE OWNED BY PABLO ESCOBAR on all the promo material. They then told him to piss off

From the Netflix show done on this, (internet Historian was the first BTW) I heard that there was a retired US Navy SEAL who was a staff member. He most likely quit as a staff member but stuck around for the disaster. Most likely finding an attractive lady in distress and rescuing her from the carnage enjoying the general disaster from someplace off site set aside just for himself and whoever is lucky enough to spend the night with him. Anyway that is how I would play it as a former SEAL. At least I bet his camp was comfortable and nobody was messing with him.

My favourite part was the complaints of thefts.
Everyone there was rich, so you know they're criminally minded.

Starship was the corpse of what used to be The Jefferson Airplane. They went from "Jefferson Airplane' to "Jefferson Starship" to just plain old 'Starship", and classics like "White Rabbit" and "Somebody to Love" to utter trainwrecks like "We Built This City" and then thank God they faded away into nothingness.

Pro tip for international travel: order currency of the country you're traveling to from your bank.
Yes, you can exchange most currency at most banks, post office and airports in the world, but for emergencies, or if you're traveling to a vastly different time zone and won't have the time to exchange cash right off the plane. Also, always check that your credit / debit card is accepted in the country you're going to and how common credit / debit is accepted in general - for example, in Japan, it's EXTREMELY difficult to find businesses (outside tourist hubs) that accept credit or debit, it's actually a drinking game here to find a business that'll take a card of some type.

Every time Simon doesn’t know who or what such-and-such is I suddenly get this uneasy moment of clarity that this grown up looking guy is in fact almost a decade younger than I am which must mean that I’m older than I have realized the last fifteen years.
It’s like you forget you’re aging after 25. But you do. You do.

He got stopped using Pablo's island as the contract said he wasn't allowed to mention Pablo anywhere - but did! The 'Fire Bands' came about when the organisers started running out of funds and thought of making these to get people to top them up well in advance to inject money in to the event organisation.

There was a Mock Trial Case based on Fyre Festival. It was a fraud case, and while our team got our asses handed to us, it was a whole lot of fun. Basically, the defendant was a social media influencer who made a whole lot of promotion tweets per her contract, and then someone got hurt when the festival went sideways, so they're suing. good stuff

Starship is short for Jefferson Starship, who used to be called Jefferson Airplane. You would know the songs White Rabbit (their most popular and best song in my opinion) and Somebody To Love (the later being used in The Cable Guy.)
