    Three hairdressers who charged me a fortune fucked my hair up. This is why I've decided to just let my hair grown out and embrace my natural colour for the first time in my life.

    Honestly you look great, you couldn't tell you had a recent hair distaster. The kind of shadow root ombre looks really good on you, too.

    Have had two dressers over a 5 year period do they exact same thing to my hair when it was healthy ! It’s heartbreaking when we all look after our hair . Broken off at the roots on healthy hair despite them apparently adding olaplex to the bleach . I think they either overlapped or were just sloppy . Your hair is looking amazing I’m so happy for you x . I had to cut all mine off 🙄

    Thanks for this! I'm finally at shoulder length, but it's uneven in thickness because of the breakage. The salon I went to took me from dark brown hair to WHITE in one sitting. I didn't know the rules of bleaching and they did nothing to encourage lightening it over multiple sessions despite my asking. DO NOT TRUST A SALON THAT DOES THIS!
    Your hair looks great, I love that haircut 😊

    You look great and thanks for your tips ❤️ I actually disagree with tip n°1, I was convinced of the fact that "the less often you wash your hair, the better". In my case I have very oily skin and it caused my hair falling off from the amount of grease on it and the lack of oxygen. My hair was choking! I spent a lot of money and a lot of time I order to restore the situation. Just to say that it depends a lot 🙂

      @julieg785 2 роки тому +8

      Agreed! People used to judge me when I said I washed my hair everyday, but that's just genetics for me. It's necessary or else my hair falls off like yours, plus it just feels and looks disgusting. I have super oily skin too 😢

      not sure if you'll still see this but do you have any other tips as I have the same issue. Very late into losing A LOT of hair (bout 2/3 of all the thickness) I realised I was washing my bleached hair about once a week cause I thought 'the natural oils will fix it all'. My hair was choking as well so I cut off like 20cm, did you buy any good treatments or anything like that? (cause you said you spent a lot of money to restore it).

    I experienced the same issue after bleaching and my hair is very long, below my bum. And half of it snapped at the roots #rip.. I got the same amount of growth as you in around 4 months but now it looks very awkward due to the snapped sections having grown. I didn't use any special products. What I absolutely hate is the texture of the bleached hair.

    Nioxin honestly has been a life saver for me, I have had a lot of hair thinning thanks to my chemo treatment but the nioxin had helped it start come back fuller and helped prevent a lot more of my hair thinning while still on treatment.

    One thing that was crazy to me a few years ago was the fact that people washed their hair everyday! Since I was little I only washed my hair once a week, it’s thick and curly and takes a while to blow dry etc. And it didn’t need the extra washes, now that my hair is bleached I might put it to two times but no more than that! I haven’t been to a hairdresser in 6 months and the amount my hair has grown is just crazy, no products just my actually hair which I’m so grateful for and just wow honestly haha! Like, it’s at the point Sophie’s is! I don’t know why but there is a little fact about my hair haha! But yeah if you can definitely try to lower the amount of times you wash your hair a week 💜

      i wash my hair once a week to every 10 days tbh (boy with long hair) i hate blowdrying it and just wear it up in a bun if i can't bothered to wash it😂🙄

      Thanks so much for sharing! Yeah I think we all just assume washing hair more often is better but it's not. And hey that's what dry shampoo is for!

    i currently have that brassy look, and breakage, I wanted the colour u have now. but i felt so deflated and didn't want to damage it to much so i'm still very brassy. i've ben using the toning treatments to get it out but its still quite brassy and i'm way to scared to apply any further colour cause breakage is just too much. any suggestions.

    I had gorgeous long hair, but I was dying the roots a very dark brown almost black, but I’m naturally a dark blonde so the contrast of my roots to the hair dye made me look almost bald, so I was tired of needing to dye my roots every 2 weeks, I decided to go back blonde, I was scared because my hair was so healthy the healthiest it had ever been! Since I was maybe 14 years old. It was heavy feeling and shiny, ugh so now that I had bleached my dark dyed hair it was a long process, it’s not very damaged , but it definitely doesn’t have that heavy feeling anymore it feels light and just a weird texture, but I did it for the whole purpose to grow out my natural hair color so it wouldn’t look as weird if I did with almost black hair, I’m not trying to achieve a blonde look or trying to be a blonde honestly I hate being blonde I just did it to grow out my natural hair so I won’t ever have to dye it or bleach it ever again and get that heavy shiny natural hair again! It’s going to take a while so thanks for the tips !

    i just bleached/dyed my hair a copper orange. my hope is that it will wash out to a natural enough shade that i can tone it eventually back to blonde. but my roots grow in brown and i too have been dyeing and bleaching my hair for years! about 6 now. thanks so much for this! i think I’m definitely going to try these products. thank you for sharing!
    also what are your best tips for washing out color? without bleach or excessive washing?

      Use a shampoo with sulphate as that removes colour and just be patient. Sadly there isn't a quick non damaging way to get colour out! Well not that I've ever found

    I stopped dying and heat processing my hair a long time ago and my virgin hair is so much more beautiful now. I also had a great tip from an influencer a long time ago - do not brush or comb your hair when it is wet. Ever.
