We have to give it to Nina. She can portray Elena with no humanity without being like Katherine. The way she can separate all the characters she played is phenomenal. For me, Nina is a superb actress.

This scene was actually amazing and Nina made me cry before my brother died as if it was really happening to her. The way her face goes emotionless as she stops crying and stares emptily ahead, the way she stares at the photo empty, and the way she burns the house down and walks away because she was right about the fact that there was nothing there for her anymore. Caroline talks about the fact she has nothing to come back too when it comes to humanity to Stefan and wow she was right.

I've observed both carefully, and even without humanity Katherine and Elena are nothing alike. From the mannerisms, speech, gestures, style are all different. That's great acting and attention to detail, cause Katherine isn't just "evil Elena" she's a unique individual. Even as an innocent human she wasn't like Elena

Like, first off it was the sire bond through Damon that she did it, the sire bond was the reason she turned off her her humanity. She wasn't weak, or stupid.
