- This video is to show everyone how to remove an engine from a 2005-2006 GSXR 1000. From draining oil, to removing the harness and dropping the engine itself. This is an in-depth guide on how to remove the engine.
Glad to see someone finally putting bike videos like this together! 🙌
Great video! Really appreciate how much detail you put into the video.
Thanks a ton!
Thank you. Great video, great bike, great guide for when someone wants to upgrade the engine!!!
Thanks a ton! Just hoping to be helpful to people who need to replace their engine and other things of that sort. I never saw many guides that weren't time lapses and things, so I wanted to do in-depth guides to help!
@@twowheelthings dude I’m the same way, and I’ve got a decent amount of views on my channel. You are so in depth, I couldn’t believe how few views you have. I sure hope you blow up so you came make more vids like this!!!!
When you drop the engine, make a mount out of wood for the engine to sit on! that way you have the correct position for the engine to go back up into place! :) Nice work!
Since that was at a house I only had a jack there, but I use motorcycle jacks now and it’s insanely better.
I appreciate your comment and I do think that will help other people who will need to use just a regular jack.
i got a2004 gsx r and it wont strat dont no what to do help please
thanks for the video! really useful content. no engine mount bolts on the other side?
The two fronts are also on the other side. The two back mounts have rods. So both bottom and top have two rods with 14mm nuts. You get the nuts off and take the two rods out (long bolts).
@@twowheelthings I understand. thank you for your reply! the other side has those spanners nuts to shift the engine where you need a special tool, right?
@@GaiusGarage actually all you need is a 19mm. They are on the right side. So they are basically right behind the 14mm nuts. You put a 19mm socket on the bolt behind it and back it out like a regular bolt. It’s an adjuster but that is basically connected to the spanner nut.
@@twowheelthings gochya! thank you again
@@GaiusGarage no problem! Glad I could help.
Great guide
Good video !!
Thank you very much!
So I did an engine swap on my 2005 GSXR 1000 and I can't remember where the two breather hoses for the tank go. Do I just connect them and route them down to the bottom or do they go to a specific location. Any advice would be helpful please and thank you
Yep! Connect them to the tank and run them near the stator cover. One of the stator cover bolts should have a little metal piece on it that bends. Those actually hold the hoses.
Спасибо братан!
very helpful thank you😀
Do u have. A vid. Where. To put back. Carbs. On. 93-94 Suzuki katana. 750. Please lmk I buy it like that. So I have to put them back. Thanks in advance 👍
that grand national🔥🔥
Would this be the same for an 07 1000
VERY similar. Some things are different, but generally the same idea.
Debating on picking up an 03 gsxr1000 with a blown motor guy said needs bottom end an crank wanted 3200 blown up so i offered 2k think its worth dropping a motor in
Depends on your budget and things like that. The engines can be quite the pricey. So if it's in the budget, you can definitely do it!
Dear I have a question please help me
❤❤
thnks
Hey do you sale any parts from the bike you have
I do have quite a bit of parts. Do you need any?
I tried to beat your time or 16:49 to remove my engine I’m on hour 16 and min 49.
👍
Not good to watch,,your vlog,,more lyric every time speak..
Would have been way better without the stupid music
Would have been worse with complete silence and the wind though too 😂
@@twowheelthings not really two gay squirrels fucking on a snare drum would have been better than that music
Taking off is easy, putting them back together looks like a nightmare 😭
It can be sometimes for sure!
