Thanks for the thorough review. I wanted a smaller keyboard so it could be centered on my tray and now I feel more confident about my decision.
looks good for an $80 keyboard. For the price there isn't much to complain about other than the aesthetic.
Considering that this isn't targeting keyboard enthusiast, but gamers I'm surprised that they focused on adding a couple of keyboard innovations only seen in the custom scene.
The kid/unfamiliar who buys this board for the RGB lightning is getting a great board for their money.
Just got this for $10, very happy. I have had a couple of custom keyboards in the past, but never really got into the hobby. Had a ROG Strix Scope 2 most recently, but I like a full size keyboard with a numpad and a really nice gel wrist rest as I have RSI, I just can't find a decent match for that.
I have got this, the switches feel really well lubed, its nice to type on, very thocky, yeah the asthetic isn't the best I suppose, but the typing experience is amazing.
This is very good and detailed review man thanks 👍
This was a great review and teardown. Thank you! Subbed!
bought Redragon Apas a few days ago
Outemu Red Slim switches
obvious advantage in games which require precise key presses, whilst silent enough to be used for typing
I wish they did the Elf pro with the colours of the normal Elf. I'm a sucker for the Black/Yellow colour combo but not so much of transparent ones. An exception is the Version 1 of the Kiiboom Phantom 81 with the brass plate.
I have some Kiiboom keyboards coming funnily enough! Phantom 81 v2 and the Moonshadow 81.
Please make a review of the Keychron Q2 Pro
the price sky rocketed and they say that it is discounted 🤦♂
yes this indeed is a pain to disassemble. especially taking out the plate from the top case
I tried to take apart my k649 and ended up messing up a screwhead, because one of the deeper-located screws was sitting really hard in it's place. What can I do to unscrew it? (I've already tried rubber band method)
Are the letters readable even with the RGB lights on?
Yes if you put your face 1mm away from the keyboard
I have the white one but I already modded it :)
What mods did you do?
@@keebface 2 layer tape, 1 dampening foam, change switches to akko cream yellows v3 pro and ASA Dracula Keycaps
@@keebface im surprise you removed the tabs in spacebar easily.. i cant remove mine
@kumuri_keebs the stabilizers? Yes they are tight on this one. You need to force a tweezer or something deep down into the clip to disengage it, and it will release. The stab clips are too good a fit for the plate thickness, making them hard to disengage.
I just tried it thanks! finally tune my stabs super sound good now haha! i'll make a video for it@@keebface
The letters look barely visible with the lights on?
Not a concern for most folks these days, but you can adjust the brightness.
