BTY the knob in the keyboard is also work for both volume and background lightning, and to switch the function of the knob just hold it for 3 seconds and it'll switch to KB background lightning and to return to the volume mode do the same for 3 seconds and you're all set.
The scroll movement is for brightness where the knob click is for changing the lightning pattern.
NOTE: THIS TIP ACCORDING TO THE INCLUDED USER MANUAL.

i have it and i really like it . its a good solid keybaord works great for gaming too .
I love this keyboard for gaming, especially when playing online with friends because it’s so quiet I don’t have to worry about them hearing my key mashing lol

Yeah you can use whatever 3 or 5 pins switches
