It's very popular, and I do like it, but there are definitely tracks I like more. It's definitely a fitting track for the part of the game where it plays, though if you haven't played Pizza Tower yet, I won't spoil it for you. I will point out that the "It's Pizza Time!" leitmotif isn't the only thing that connects the two tracks, though. You know how in "It's Pizza Time!" there someone going "Hello There!" at the beginning? And what's the name of this track? ;) When it comes to "Extraterrestrial Wahwahs", I feel like I kind of slept on it. While it's still not one of my favorites from Pizza Tower, it goes so hard on the guitar in the middle that I can definitely see why it IS a lot of people's favorite! If there's one thing I love about "Oregano Mirage", it's that it's incredibly fast-paced, which makes it incredibly addicting to listen to. Definitely one of my favorites from ClascyJitto, one of the three composers for Pizza Tower. In fact, out of all the tracks you've listened to this, is the first CJ composition you've reacted to, all the other ones were done by Mr. Sauceman. Other tracks I hope you'll check out: There's a Bone in my Spaghetti, Tubular Trash Zone, Good Eatin', Calzonification, Pumpin' Hot Stuff, and Pizza Deluxe!

You're really starting to capture the vibe of Pizza Tower with your violin! Very nice Also, fun fact: the original level for Extraterrestrial Wawahs was called Space Pinball, but I think DeepDish 9 is such a great pun that I'm not even mad at the loss of Space Pinball

if you want more game osts to react to i’d *heavily* recommend Risk Of Rain 2, the whole soundtrack is nuts but if i only had to pick three on a whim, i’d say Antarctic Oscillation, Terra Pluviam, and You’re Gonna Need A Bigger Ukulele are great ones to start with to get a good grip on the game’s vibe
"Bye Bye There!" has feelings of emotion because **SPOILERS** It plays in the final level of the game, the final Pizza Time. After beating the game, you now have to barrel out of the tower as the whole thing crumbles down as you escape through areas you've become so familiar with. Your only goal now is to get out, your job is done.
I've seen a few other videos of folks reacting to game music, but out of all of them I think you must be my fave. You seem to just be having the BEST time!!
Hello here! I can't believe this is my first comment on UA-cam :D But I just want to say, dear String Player Gamer, your content is awesome! When I, an ordinary Russian student, came across your channel I really liked your approach to making videos and music! They are so cheerful and funny! And your violin playing... You are a real virtuoso! I would love to hear it all live. What was my surprise when I was digging through old playlists on our local social network and saw your 2017 album "Undertale: Strings of Determination" that I added to and realized it was you!! It's great to see that you still create such interesting and even educational content to this day! Thanks for what you do, you are very cool! You lift my spirits every time I watch your videos!
You HAVE to listen to all of the boss tracks ( besides Unexpectancy since you listened to that one ) because they’re all so good. My personal favorite HAS to be Pizza Time Never Ends though. It’s so good and it kind of deceives you in the beginning making you think it’s one thing, but it’s actually a completely different tone shift. I LOVE Pizza Time Never Ends. Edit: I forgot to add them but the song names are Pepperman Strikes, Calzonification, Pumpin’ Hot Stuff, and Pizza Time Never Ends. In that order
MAN...... these videos are delightful, and i'd be like "man i really hope he plays pizza tower so he can also get the context of the music within the game itself" but..... i understand that'd kind of prevent him from doing any further candid track reactions 😭 double edged sword........ ahh well. these rule!! i know pizza tower is "trendy" right now and whatnot, but he also genuinely seems to be having such a good time with these and it rules :) thank you mister player gamer
Thank for understanding! It is indeed a double edged sword in that context but I am primarily a musician and not a gaming content creator. So the priority for me is very much self-explanatory.
yeah, i get that completely!! and i mean, it's not like listening to even every single track in the ost before playing the game for yourself will "spoil the experience" or whatnot in any way........ hell, might even wind up as more rewarding, being able to recall tracks like "oh!! so THAT'S where this plays, neat!!" and on the flipside, you obviously don't need to have played the game to enjoy the music!! these videos are great, and i love the freestyling along with the tunes, it's SO cool :D
"Yeehaw Delivery Boy", "Tropical Crust", "Receding Hairline Celebration Party", "Pizza Engineer"/"Peppino's Sauce Machine", "On the Rocks", "There's a Bone in my Spaghetti", "Mmm Yes Put the Tree on my Pizza"...honestly, you could pick almost any song out of the entire Pizza Tower soundtrack and it'd be worth bopping to.
You should definitely listen to "Don't Preheat your oven because if you do the song won't play." yes. that's the name. towards the end of unexpectancy 3, it references the song!
Very informative as always. After you're done with Pizza Tower, I'm curious to know your input on the OST of "Mad Rat Dead", a rythm-platformer game. 'Mimolette', 'Emmental Catalepsy' and 'Gloucester Carousel' being my favorite tracks.
When you're finished obsessing about Pizza Tower, give Arsi Hakita's work (as Heaven Pierce Her) a try. Ultrakill is a game designed and developed by a fellow music composer, under the premise its gameplay is what he considered fun after a failed effort to create a stealth title. Lots of *big* guitar, lots of Amen-style breaks, lots to love if you're into that. And also some weird stuff. It's pretty good.
i really love these kinds of videos in which a musician listens to video game soundtracks. by the way, that one sample used in oregano mirage is indeed a oud. and lastly, i'd suggest you listen to "Bite the crust" and "Good eatin'"
If you like Wah Wha guitar twang, you may check out the soundtrack for a game called De Blob. It’s got some bangers. Also, that slow-sounding hymn you mention at 19:00 is the same found in my childhood game Glover 64 - Atlantis Boss. Those notes took me back in time for a second.
spoilers (i guess? if you can even say a game like pizza tower has spoilers) that adds some context to the first song Bye Bye There having It's Pizza Time's leitmotif in it is even better in context; the entire world hub of the game is secretly one big level, and after beating the final boss, you escape to the very beginning of the hub world like how you do with every level Bye Bye There plays during that final escape sequence. It's like one big farewell to the game, and while they gave that escape sequence its own song because it's a special moment, the leitmotif from It's Pizza Time is still there; not only to reference the fact that it's an escape sequence, but as a way of generally calling back to the journey you've been on up to this point, since you hear It's Pizza Time multiple times in the game
Oregano Mirage is one of my favorites, glad you reacted to it. Now that you mention the Anime vibe, I can totally see it... maybe that's why I love it so much lmao-
A sweet, and rock hard game suggestion for you: ULTRAKILL im sure youll know exactly what kind of game it is after 2 tracks. Specific tracks you should listen to : into the fire, versus, casle vein, altars of apostrophe (dont know if i spelled that right) and finally ORDER (always spelled in allcaps)
Fun fact: in Oregano Desert, that middle eastern sounding sample you described was actually used in Arid Sands - Day from Sonic Unleashed, it is a very front and center sample used in that song.
Incredible! I love these videos, I learn so much about music every time. I would love to hear you react to "Pizza Time Never Ends" from this game, it's one of my personal favorites Edit: spelling
You should do more boss themes next time, like Pumpin' Hot Stuff with its huge 80s vibes and Pizza Time never ends as a really cool alternate to pizza time
@@bfsofficialchannel9093 he already did Pepperman Strikes on the first reaction vid and made a whole video for Unexpectancy we just need Calzonification, Pumpin' Hot Stuff and Pizza Time Never Ends
I like how each video you do on Pizza Tower sorta groups the songs you cover into different categories. The first was the frantic and truly chaotic songs like It's Pizza Time! and The Death I Deservioli, the song went more into the serious and grandiose songs like Hot Spaghetti and Thousand March, and this one was the funky tracks! And heck yeah, it's some of the most realistic and vibing funk I've heard in a while! So good. :D PS Loved that robot dance.
Hi-Fi Rush 's soundtrack is also nice, if you wanna check that out some time. As for more Pizza Tower tracks I'd recommend "Tubular Trash Zone" "Calzonification* "Dungeon freakshow" "Yeehaw Deliveryboy" And "Peppino's sauce machine"
'Bye bye There!' is my number one fav song in the OST, with 'PIZZA TIME NEVER ENDS', 'Pizza Time', 'Yeehaw Delivery' and a couple other songs being absolute bangers
I never would have thought that the soundtrack of a game such as this one would end up having some of the most memorable, catchy, and hypest music I would hear all year and your analysis of it just makes me appreciate it even more!
Another great video for the series!! I always enjoy watching these videos even if I haven't played the game because I learn a lot and your reactions are fun! 😁
Bye Bye There! is frankly my favorite pizza tower OST. It's frankly an amazing capstone to the game. Some of my favorite tracks are the boss tracks, particularly Pumpin Hot Stuff ( VS *_The Noise_* ) and PIZZA TIME NEVER ENDS ( VS *_Peppino?_* ). The former is one of those tracks that you instinctively _know_ is a rival fight, just by hearing the sheer focus of the track, plus those orchestral hits reminding you that this is The Noise's show right now. The latter? A mockery of your theme, the Pizza Time leitmotif _pretending_ to display itself in the unsettling 7/2 patterns. God help you if you try to drum to that, 8bit did not survive. Fitting for a being that exists as a cruel mockery of yourself, a being that is just as stalwart as yourself.
If your taking suggestions, the track "there's a bone in my spaghetti" is a great track thats similar to hot and cold spaghetti but the track sounds far more sinister and like its from castlevania
"Bye Bye There" is such an amazing song. I would have never guessed this song would be the Finale of the game just by listening to the song itself, but for some reason once you are descending the tower it just feels right listening to it. When you mentioned the Drums leaving the music it finally clicked. Its almost over, Peppino can finally rest after this. That moment of calm he had not experienced since arriving in the tower. Other then perhaps "Mort's Farm"/"What's On the Kid's Menu" there hasn't really been a moment for Peppino to slow down. Expect maybe the bonus stages. The "It's Pizza Time!!!" Motif there because, well, It's Pizza Time, but its more triumpht because its the last one, and the Drums being removed is when Peppino can finally rest.
Bye Bye There is my favorite song in the game because it’s just so funky, chill and yet also has its intense moments too and feels like a perfect way to wrap the game up in its final sequence
you probably wont do it, but there is a fan game called sugary spire that has equally beautiful music as this game, but in a completely different way (if you actually see this i highly recommend "down to noise" and "cottontown")
I would recommend listening to Terraria Calamity mod OST. Especially the song from that game called Universal Collapse, that one will leave you absolutely SPEECHLESS!
I once saw someone describe Bye Bye There as "Pizza Time, the track that has haunted peppino and caused him so much anxiety and panic throughout the game, has become his victory theme, almost encouraging him to victory at this point"
If you want more "Epic Sax Guys", check the musician *Creo,* he's probably one of the saxiest of all. Dimension, Lightmare, Crystallize, Sphere, Flow and many more compositions from him that I can't recommend enough!
Youre gonna get alot of recommendations, so here are mine Fast Food Saloon, Tunnely Shimbers, and Theres a Bone In My Spaggetti have very nice and cool aesthetics and themes that would be nice to see what you think of Tunnely Shimbers is like the concept of Fear and Anticipitation in a song form
If I were to describe this song as a piece of food... I would describe it as a super spicy cactus burrito that's on fire (and the tortillia is actually a pizza)
Quite insightful and informative examination of the music, your reactions also give interesting insight. As for a suggestion for Video game music, "Ideal" and "Butsutekkai" from Ikaruga would be interesting to see you reaction to.
I’m so happy you reacted to my favorite pizza tower song I feel like you might also enjoy songs from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 like the song Counterattack or Gormott
I was absolutely FLOORED with that cover of Oregano Mirage! You made it sound even way cooler in a new unique way!! I will point out that the "It's Pizza Time!" leitmotif isn't the only thing that connects the two tracks, though. You know how in "It's Pizza Time!" there someone going "Hello There!" at the beginning? And what's the name of this track? ;)
When it comes to "Extraterrestrial Wahwahs", I feel like I kind of slept on it.
I feel like I kind of slept on Bye Bye There, I have to say it's probably my first or second favorite
Pumpin Hot Stuff is great. One of those songs that you just instinctively _know_ is a Rival Fight without context needed.
@@saulgoodman5073 Is it slept on? Seems fairly popular to me. Honestly, I think Tubular Trash Zone is slept on more.
@@Rubberman202 nah peppinos sauce machine and pizza engineer are the most slept on
@@Toasterlovescrocs Peppino's Door Problem
I love these videos man! You do such a great job with them
NO YOU!!!
I agree! These videos are so cool to watch, great content 🎉
SPEEG!
It was so fun watching your reactions to this soundtrack! I've never played the game but I like seeing what's out there. Your violin jams are EPIC as always and I enjoy hearing the technical breakdowns of the pieces, too! Keep up the great work!
P.S. Celeste has a good soundtrack to listen to. So does Ori (both Blind Forest and Will of the Wisps)
Thank you so much Baby Schpleen!
You're really starting to capture the vibe of Pizza Tower with your violin! Very nice
Also, fun fact: the original level for Extraterrestrial Wawahs was called Space Pinball, but I think DeepDish 9 is such a great pun that I'm not even mad at the loss of Space Pinball
was it? i thought it was supposed to be called olive intergaltic.
@@mallowfan22 yeah, you can still see posters with "Space Pinball" written on them in the backgrounds of some stages. Though it probably went through several name changes, idk.
8:52 Thank me later.
15:06 This felt like Miami Disco by The Pertubator.
16:56 Favorite part of the soundtrack. 17:23 And he said the reason.
19:35 Key change!
24:35 Ok. You're getting too cultured.

I have no clue what anything your saying means but I’m glad to see someone enjoy Pizza Tower’s music
Peppino's Sauce Machine, Tubular Trash Zone, and There's a Bone In My Spaghetti are 3 of my favorites and you should totally check them out!
I think listening to some of the Boss music would be a nice listen.
First Boss: Pepperman Strikes!
Second Boss: Calzonification
Third Boss: Pumpin’ hot stuff
Fourth Boss: PIZZA TIME NEVER ENDS
Unexpectancy is the final boss theme. :)
Okay, this is awesome! Now, my own personal suggestion: “On The Rocks” is one of the best songs in the game!
if you want more game osts to react to i’d *heavily* recommend Risk Of Rain 2, the whole soundtrack is nuts but if i only had to pick three on a whim, i’d say Antarctic Oscillation, Terra Pluviam, and You’re Gonna Need A Bigger Ukulele are great ones to start with to get a good grip on the game’s vibe
Seconded, that game has a lot of cool and interesting tracks
Aye, I feel like he'd really enjoy it.
"Bye Bye There!" has feelings of emotion because **SPOILERS**
It plays in the final level of the game, the final Pizza Time. After beating the game, you now have to barrel out of the tower as the whole thing crumbles down as you escape through areas you've become so familiar with.
Your only goal now is to get out, your job is done.
troll completed,returning to HQ
I've seen a few other videos of folks reacting to game music, but out of all of them I think you must be my fave. You seem to just be having the BEST time!!
Thank you! I live for VGM!
Hello here! I can't believe this is my first comment on UA-cam :D
But I just want to say, dear String Player Gamer, your content is awesome! You lift my spirits every time I watch your videos!
your next set of songs should be the more horror-esque side of pizza tower. don't make a sound, pizzascare, and of course, PIZZA TIME NEVER ENDS
Majora. Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
🤓 erm actually don't make a sounds theme is "tunnely shimbers" and pizzascare uses "there's a bone in my spaghetti"
So the priority for me is very much self-explanatory.
yeah, i get that completely!! and i mean, it's not like listening to even every single track in the ost before playing the game for yourself will "spoil the experience" or whatnot in any way........ hell, might even wind up as more rewarding, being able to recall tracks like "oh!! so THAT'S where this plays, neat!!"
and on the flipside, you obviously don't need to have played the game to enjoy the music!! these videos are great, and i love the freestyling along with the tunes, it's SO cool :D
"Yeehaw Delivery Boy", "Tropical Crust", "Receding Hairline Celebration Party", "Pizza Engineer"/"Peppino's Sauce Machine", "On the Rocks", "There's a Bone in my Spaghetti", "Mmm Yes Put the Tree on my Pizza"...honestly, you could pick almost any song out of the entire Pizza Tower soundtrack and it'd be worth bopping to.
that extraterrestial wahwah solo was actually fire, love these vids!
You should definitely listen to "Don't Preheat your oven because if you do the song won't play." yes. that's the name. towards the end of unexpectancy 3, it references the song!
Extraterrestrial wahwahs is my favorite of the entire soundtrack. It strikes me as it has a sad tone to it at times.
It does have a sad tone but do you know what's sadder?
THE SECRET THEME
When that part in bye bye there drops you feel like you've heard everything. Legendary song
I recomend you the first track of refrigerator-refrigerador freezer, tubular trash zone and the first one of peppibot factory!!!
Its my grandma's account JAJAJAJAJA
Very informative as always.
After you're done with Pizza Tower, I'm curious to know your input on the OST of "Mad Rat Dead", a rythm-platformer game. 'Mimolette', 'Emmental Catalepsy' and 'Gloucester Carousel' being my favorite tracks.
Yeah, almost every song in that game's a banger; the game's pretty popular in Japan, but basically nonexistent to the West...
I second this. The title screen theme alone sold me on Mad Rat Dead’s soundtrack.
I was waiting when you compare Oregano Mirage to Eurobeat. You were SO close to it.
17:38 what I associated it with is actually Crush40 from the pre-boost sonic era
Your accompaniment to Bye Bye There is awesome, the energy is perfectly matched
I listend to "Bye Bye There" so many times in the level that just by hearing some parts of it i can tell where i would be in the level at that point
i really love these kinds of videos in which a musician listens to video game soundtracks. by the way, that one sample used in oregano mirage is indeed a oud. and lastly, i'd suggest you listen to "Bite the crust" and "Good eatin'"
Oregano Mirage gives me PTSD because the level it plays in, Oregano Desert, was the hardest level to P-Rank for me
If you like Wah Wha guitar twang, you may check out the soundtrack for a game called De Blob. It’s got some bangers.
Also, that slow-sounding hymn you mention at 19:00 is the same found in my childhood game Glover 64 - Atlantis Boss. Those notes took me back in time for a second.
you've gotta listen to Tubular Trash Zone - its got an amazing solo
Peppibot factory both tracks, and also R-R-Freezerator
spoilers (i guess? if you can even say a game like pizza tower has spoilers) that adds some context to the first song
Bye Bye There having It's Pizza Time's leitmotif in it is even better in context; the entire world hub of the game is secretly one big level, and after beating the final boss, you escape to the very beginning of the hub world like how you do with every level
Bye Bye There plays during that final escape sequence.
I don't know if I'd say it's "Secretly" a big level, there's John Blocks visible on floor one
@@digitalunity yeah that's true, i just know some people consider it a spoiler for whatever weird reason, so better to be safe than sorry yknow
@@yeetlejuice7181 that’s fair, I would say the only real spoiler is what boss 4 is, since it’s deliberately silhiuetted in the intro sequence
Specific tracks you should listen to : into the fire, versus, casle vein, altars of apostrophe (dont know if i spelled that right) and finally ORDER (always spelled in allcaps)
it's "altars of apostasy"
Fun fact: in Oregano Desert, that middle eastern sounding sample you described was actually used in Arid Sands - Day from Sonic Unleashed, it is a very front and center sample used in that song.
Everybody gangsta til the tambourine in Extraterrestrial wahwahs kicks in
13:45 i love this song because it reminds me of the space world theme from kirbys epic yarn at the very start. brings nostalgia man
Incredible! I love these videos, I learn so much about music every time. I would love to hear you react to "Pizza Time Never Ends" from this game, it's one of my personal favorites
Edit: spelling
You should do more boss themes next time, like Pumpin' Hot Stuff with its huge 80s vibes and Pizza Time never ends as a really cool alternate to pizza time
Imagine he reacts/listening to pizza tower's boss theme! that's will be great!
@@bfsofficialchannel9093 he already did Pepperman Strikes on the first reaction vid and made a whole video for Unexpectancy
we just need Calzonification, Pumpin' Hot Stuff and Pizza Time Never Ends
I'd recommend the track Tunnely Shimbers from pizza tower extremely underrated!
I love how as soon he heard the oregano desert theme, he was just shocked. Kinda funny though.
The 2000's (early) had a freaking thing for that Flander effect did they?
You busting out that wicked instrument to play along and add your own sound was such a pleasant surprise. Very emotionally moving stuff.
So good. :D
PS Loved that robot dance.
Hi-Fi Rush 's soundtrack is also nice, if you wanna check that out some time.
As for more Pizza Tower tracks I'd recommend
"Tubular Trash Zone"
"Calzonification*
"Dungeon freakshow" "Yeehaw Deliveryboy"
And "Peppino's sauce machine"
'Bye bye There!' is my number one fav song in the OST, with 'PIZZA TIME NEVER ENDS', 'Pizza Time', 'Yeehaw Delivery' and a couple other songs being absolute bangers
I never would have thought that the soundtrack of a game such as this one would end up having some of the most memorable, catchy, and hypest music I would hear all year and your analysis of it just makes me appreciate it even more!
I'd love to see him talk about Pizza Engineer and Peppino's Sauce Machine, I love those tracks!
i wonder how many will be made
Another great video for the series!! I always enjoy watching these videos even if I haven't played the game because I learn a lot and your reactions are fun! 😁
Thank you so much amazing Firabelle!
If there's ever gonna be another one you should do Thousand March (if you haven't already)
If your taking suggestions, the track "there's a bone in my spaghetti" is a great track thats similar to hot and cold spaghetti but the track sounds far more sinister and like its from castlevania
Anyone else noticing how his violin skills are improving? It's really noticable comparing to some of the older videos
He probably does practice off-camera
God I love your violin solos
I would really love a Sonic Mania ost review. Metallic Madness act 2, Green Hill Act 2, Studiopolis, hell all the ost is insanely good
honestly agree and it gives off the same vibe as pizza tower atleast to me
Bye Bye There is my favorite song in the game because it’s just so funky, chill and yet also has its intense moments too and feels like a perfect way to wrap the game up in its final sequence
you probably wont do it, but there is a fan game called sugary spire that has equally beautiful music as this game, but in a completely different way
(if you actually see this i highly recommend "down to noise" and "cottontown")
So cool clip. Wonderful violin ❤ Really like your music nicely played
have you heard of the Ultrakill sound track?? If not you should check it out, especially if you like drums.
I would recommend listening to Terraria Calamity mod OST. Especially the song from that game called Universal Collapse, that one will leave you absolutely SPEECHLESS!
I'm really glad you covered Extraterrestrial WahWahs! that track in particular quickly became my favorite (aswell as its secret variant)
The strings never stop
I once saw someone describe Bye Bye There as "Pizza Time, the track that has haunted peppino and caused him so much anxiety and panic throughout the game, has become his victory theme, almost encouraging him to victory at this point"
Probably not gonna be a favourite, but can't wait for "good eatin" which is one of the few songs not written by Mr. Sauceman.
If you want more "Epic Sax Guys", check the musician *Creo,* he's probably one of the saxiest of all. Dimension, Lightmare, Crystallize, Sphere, Flow and many more compositions from him that I can't recommend enough!
Youre gonna get alot of recommendations, so here are mine Fast Food Saloon, Tunnely Shimbers, and Theres a Bone In My Spaggetti have very nice and cool aesthetics and themes that would be nice to see what you think of
Tunnely Shimbers is like the concept of Fear and Anticipitation in a song form
If I were to describe this song as a piece of food...
I would describe it as a super spicy cactus burrito that's on fire (and the tortillia is actually a pizza)
Quite insightful and informative examination of the music, your reactions also give interesting insight. As for a suggestion for Video game music, "Ideal" and "Butsutekkai" from Ikaruga would be interesting to see you reaction to.
Key sentence of this video:
"I love it"
I’m so happy you reacted to my favorite pizza tower song
I feel like you might also enjoy songs from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 like the song Counterattack or Gormott
I was absolutely FLOORED with that cover of Oregano Mirage! You made it sound even way cooler in a new unique way!! I'm really happy you got to listen and react to two of my favorite songs from the Pizza Tower OST. Here's hoping you might be willing to do more listenin' to my other 2 top-favorite songs from the Pizza Tower soundtrack sometime soon, "Tropical Crust" and "Good Eatin'"! :D
