Today we will be examining Item SCP-038: The Everything Tree, Object class: Safe.
SCP-038 appears to be a common apple tree, however, the item has the ability to clone any object that touches its bark. Objects that SCP-038 has thus far cloned include: various fruit and vegetables, technical appliances, animals and people.
Human and animal cloning through SCP-038 is not recommended, as they appear to age quickly. The majority of these clones live, on average, two weeks. After thorough examination of the deceased clones, it has been determined that they had begun to ferment before death.
Note: It has been observed that SCP-038 is able to clone other SCP entities. An experiment involving SCP-173 has been carried out.

I always like SCPs when the Foundation personnel are shown to be human and do stupid, dumbass things with these dangerous anomalies that people would do.

If they have vending machines then do they have to give amnestics to the Delivery person that refills the vending machines, or are they allowed to know the Foundation exists? Because typically they don't want normal people to know about all the SCPs out there.

what they need to clone is cloning gold, just use a small % amount of it about good around 14k gold weigh about at least 2 pounds of gold, no recommended full size of gold bar for weight growing on the tree will smash you in the head and we don't want an accident to produce. Wait, they cloned other fruit, eggplants, cats and dogs- but not cooked meat like fried chicken or steaks?! C'mon, an eternal source of cruelty-free meat sounds perfect! (The cats and dogs aren't bad either, but the meat seems like a better idea.) Could also use it to clone the rare minerals we have trouble sourcing enough of for various technological things like solar panels, or hell just clone solar panels for the ultimate in green energy. We're close to running out of gold too, so cloning that might be a good idea since it's also used in a lot of technology. More importantly, can we clone the tree itself? That would bring this to a whole new level.
If the foundation ever runs short on D-class,they can just use this to clone more!

I'd actually love to have this tree... if only to cut my food costs. If you have an expensively high metabolism, you are nodding in agreement right now. If not, you are probably rolling your eyes. High metabolism that extends over a decade beyond where people who have it normally lose it know for a fact that it is as expensive as an addiction that you cannot go to rehab for or quit cold turkey. And if you hate me for complaining about it, it may not suck as much as your weight loss problems but it is not at all a great thing. You can, with discipline, SAVE money on food. You will not become sluggish if you didn't plan your eating right.
Sorry for the rant... a little defensive because of a lifetime of a metabolism that can split atoms (metaphorically speaking) with lots of fat and normie friends. As for those who can relate, hello fellow "garbage disposals" who are "blessed" with our black hole of a belly! ;)
