Even for a Disney movie, Clayton's death was dark as hell. Just the flash of lightning showing him hanging there was certainly a shock, especially as a kid. This and the '97 Hercules are two of my absolute Disney favorites, even though I feel like the two of them are so underrated.
My theory for Kerchak's frostiness towards Tarzan is because he was venting his grief on him. At the start we saw that he did love his son, and as the head of the family he is supposed to protect the entire group but lost his son, and because he has to stay strong he couldn't mourn like Kala could. Then suddenly Kala brings in a human - and given how he knows what a gunshot was, he knows what humans are like - to in his eyes replace his son. It doesn't help Tarzan's case that he takes all the blame for stuff happening, so he comes off as a risk to the group as well. He was much more willing to forgive it all when Tarzan killed Sabor - effectively avenging both their losses - since he gave him responsibility to protect the group, but Tarzan's curiosity chose humans with guns over that group, and when he went to protect the group from Clayton and his gun Tarzan restrained him, undermining his role as leader.

They are very protective of their band and will defend it with their life if they feel someone is a dangerous threat. But they're typically pacifists and won't hurt anything that is weaker than they are. So him smelling Jane was normal behaviour. She unknowingly did the correct thing by letting him examine her to determine if she's a threat or not. Lastly: "How can you start like this? It's a kid's movie"? Have you forgotten the Lion King? I always love the fact that the one time you truly see Tarzan enraged is when somebody threatens his family, especially Kala. He is definitely an Irish boy!
Some say that Sabor the leopard was simply trying to stay alive. That may have been so when she killed Kerchak and Kala's real son, but with Tarzan's mother and father, she killed them for the pleasure of it. Because of that, she broke a law of Nature.
1. Ellie is already sobbing at 2:23 while Viki is already sobbing at 9:48. 2. I really thought Viki was gonna do her signature catchphrase whenever she cries. “Oh, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho.” 3. I didn’t even know the leopard had a name till a book mentions it. And, when I first heard bout the name, I thought it was pronounced Saber like saber tooth tiger. Also, I’m still sure that Sabor might be a male. 4. Just so the Homies know, jaguars live in South America in the Amazon jungle. Sabor is a leopard and they’re the only cats that thrive in African jungles. Also, if you notice closely, jaguars have spots wit three dots inside of those spots whereas leopards have spots wit two dots inside of those spots. Also, those black cats in the Emperor’s New Groove were jaguars. Black jaguars but jaguars, nonetheless. Cheetahs? Well, they just have spots. No dots inside of them and they’re much skinnier than leopards as well. Tigers are the cats wit all stripes and they only thrive in Asia. I think Ellie was also the only girl out of y’all that knew a tiger when she saw one, especially in the Hangover. I, also, used to think there were some tigers that lived in Africa when I was a kid. Get used to disappointment though. 5. If you listen closely to Sabor, he roars like not just a leopard but also a lion, a cougar, and a tiger. Cougars don’t roar so if you hear something like a “Wow,” that’s a cougar. Listen to what the other three cats sound like so you’ll understand the difference. 6. I just thought of this but I kinda Sabor lived long enough to fight Clayton since he’s the lesser of two evils. While Sabor kills mainly to eat, Clayton, however, kills for sport and greed. I don’t think Sabor deserved to be on the list of villains cuz he can’t really help but kill anyone. I agree that even animals killing anybody can be evil especially for food but can you really blame them though? Clayton, however, was the real villain though. I always hated him since I first saw him. 7. Moon Sugar swears she was gonna kill Clayton if he killed Kala, yet Moon Sugar subliminally and basically says in other reactions that she don’t believe in violence. However, I remember she said she was willing to do anything to gain revenge for Reggae during John Wick. Plus, if you DID have to chance to kill Clayton, I would using a gun cuz great minds think alike and let’s be real, Clayton, like a lot of other humans, clearly, would not play fair. 8. Kala: Well, I’m going to be her mother now. Moon Sugar: Well, I’m gonna be Ellie and Viki’s mother now. Hahahahahahaha. 9. Now, Kala knows how a full diaper smells. That’s anybody smelling Ellie and Viki’s diapers. Hahahahaha. 10. Those creatures chasing Jane were baboons and they’re just as aggressive and savage as gorillas. They see someone like Jane fucking wit even a kid, they get pissed and jump the would be intruders. Just like gorillas, baboons have a dominant male in charge. Plus, they have a fair share in eating flesh as well. 11. As Viki pointed out, that was the teaset from Beauty And The Beast. 12. In the movie, those elephants knew where piranhas came from. Shit! Even Timothee of France and Canada wanted to know just how those elephants knew that. Yes, piranhas really do come from South America and the Amazon just like jaguars. But, it’s really fucking funny how the elephants turn from very intelligent geniuses from literally one second to complete dumb asses in just the next second. 13. Trash Camp was my favorite song in the movie. I was also told that Phil Colins and NSync did that song as well. Just as good as the song in the movie. 14. The reason Kerchank was such a dick is cuz he lost his son. If you really think bout it, it can really take a toll on you. Just like after Simba lost Mufasa. He became sort of a dick to Kiara but more of a dick to Kovu. All cuz of what Scar did. 15. We all thought for a certain period of time that gorillas were monkeys. They’re related to monkeys but they, themselves, are not monkeys but apes. If a primate has a tail, it’s a monkey. No tail, ape. Baboons and lemurs are monkeys. Gorillas, chimpanzees, mandrills, orangutans, and gibbons are all apes. Rafiki was also referred to by Simba and Timon as a monkey but he’s really a mandrill which, like I said, is an ape. Unfortunately, lots of people are still referring to every primate as a monkey, pretty much cuz either don’t know the difference between monkeys and apes or they did know for quite sometime but they eventually just forgot the difference. 16. I also saw only one red elephant in Planet Earth, believe it or not. Idk why it was red. It just was as far as I’m concerned. 17. Perhaps, Kerchank might not have been an ass towards Dianne Fossey. 18. Nobody discovered gorillas till the 1800’s. Then, word got around and unfortunately, poachers just like Clayton and his crew took many gorillas away from the Congo to use as entertainment in zoos or killed them for sport and even had some of those gorillas stuffed and used as trophies. 19. Last I checked, there are over 110,000 gorillas left in the wild but that number seems to be falling even as we speak.
Hello, Pat Bateman I'm glad you've enjoyed Phil Collins. Well, I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual. It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. If you pay attention, you can listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism. Take the lyrics to "Land of Confusion". In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. "In Too Deep" is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting (if I'm not wrong, you can hear it in an old movie called "AMERICAN PSYCHO". Hilarious film. You should see that one! 😅). Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock. Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like "In the Air Tonight" and "Against All Odds". But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. If I had to pick one I guess I'd go with "Sussudio", a great, great song, a personal favorite. Ladies (any of you)...would you like to see my apartment?? I work on Wall Street, on Pierce & Pierce. Do you know that?
I used to watch this movie EVERY SINGLE DAY for one reason: the amazing soundtrack. As a kid I had never seen anything more epic. This movie is only second to Lion King for my favourite Disney soundtrack
Man, I remember seeing the trailers for this movie as a little kid, where they showed the beginning part where the gorilla finds baby Tarzan. My little brother was born in 1999, and my mom would play this movie for him so many times, I was nauseated of it.. I haven't watched this in probably 20-ish years, and I completely forgot about those opening scenes with Tarzan's parents.
I watched a LOT of Tarzan movies when I was a child, but it was mostly the old B/W movies feat. Johnny Weißmüller. Although they were very old movies we still loved them. (I think the TV stations got them very cheap, so they showed them alot) Cheers 👍👍😊😊
One important fact about this movie is Chita monkey who died she was making the character of Tarzan’s mother in the movie. Tarzan is obviously the strongest and purest movie you see in your life.
Fun fact: the song while the apes were trashing the camp (doo bop she do) was performed by Phil Colins and Nsync. Nsync is Justin Timberlake’s original band and where he first became famous before going solo.
If y'all homies don't know. Tarzan is the younger brother of Anna and Elsa from Frozen story goes like this. The king and queen of arendelle go on ship but they die in a different way. The Tarzan movie turns out Tarzan's parents are the king and queen of arendelle The ship caught on fire and they both survived and when they arrive in the jungle about their own house, but they were killed by sabor the leopard 🐆

My favorite Disney movie, only Treasure Planet ever really comes close. This was one of the few movies we could afford to watch in theatres when it came out in Puerto Rico and the soundtrack and movie is something that my mother and I bonded over deeply. Fun fact if you watched this movie and have it on dvd if you watch it in the commentary with the director he stated that kerchak was the reason Tarzan parents were killed cause after the death of kerchak son the director said he went after the sabor and kerchak found the tree house and Tarzan parents and he kept moving to find sabor and found sabor and had another battle but he was trying to lead sabor to Tarzan’s parents so him and his family can get as far away as they can and that night was when he killed Tarzan’s parents

I adore this movie, and it will always be one of my favorites, but I will always wonder three things: 1. How is Tarzan the only human… in Africa? 2. Is Sabor the only damn leopard and is she immortal? 3. How is Tarzan hairless? 🤔🤔🤔 “Son of Man” alone makes up for it lol

You really need to watch the Legend of Tarzan 2016, Alexander Skarsgård plays the most convincing Tarzan since Johnny Westmuller. He also discovers that his real name is John Clayton, Earl of Greystoke Manor. By the standards of the time, he was a multimillionaire and owned about a bazillion acres of farmland and forest. Jane Porter, becomes Jane Clayton, Lady of Greystoke. Her impact on English society is equivalent to the Hiroshima bomb! She could be a lady to her fingertips one moment and then, go climbing trees with the kids in the next! She treats the entire staff of Greystoke as her extended family, unsurprisingly, they fell in love with her within one day. John Clayton's response to anybody trying to hurt those he considers family can be summed up in the word: Silverback!
@thehomies did you ladies catch that bit at the end. Tarzan and Jane flying through the air and him holding her so gently, and as soon as he got to the nearest outcropping he crowed to the heavens!
By the way in the original book Keira I never forgave Tarzan and actually.tried to kill Tarzan in the end, and Clayton was actually tarzans cousin and tried to bring Tarzan into society, so Clayton was the good guy and Kerman’s was a bloody bad guy
I have seen this movie when I was little and just let you know for those that don't know or don't remember, the cat that killed Tarzan's parents and the baby gorilla is actually a Leopard.

"and you'll always be in my heart"
stop cutting onions please
😭😭😭
I always love the fact that the one time you truly see Tarzan enraged is when somebody threatens his family, especially Kala. He is definitely an Irish boy!
Phil Collins is really underrated when it comes to soundtracks
How many more times am I gonna see the word “underrated” on a UA-cam video?
Some say that Sabor the leopard was simply trying to stay alive. That may have been so when she killed Kerchak and Kala's real son, but with Tarzan's mother and father, she killed them for the pleasure of it. Because of that, she broke a law of Nature.
This movie is a freaking classic
This whole movie is a cinematic masterpiece and an emotional rollercoaster with a killer soundtrack❤
There is a rumor that Tarzan is the unknown brother of the queen and princess of Frozen.
1. Ellie is already sobbing at 2:23 while Viki is already sobbing at 9:48.
2. I really thought Viki was gonna do her signature catchphrase whenever she cries. “Oh, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho, ho.”
In case you didn’t know there is a read along story book of Tarzan that Sabor is a female leopard. Just some clarification.
Hello, Pat Bateman
I'm glad you've enjoyed Phil Collins.
😳🤣🤣🤣
Is this Dorsia?
In case you missed it Mrs.Potts and Chip were in the table as a cameo, they were in Beauty and The Beast
Viki didn’t miss it. That’s for sure.
@@liljrice4867 I think she was the only one who got it
This movie is the sole reason why I hate leopards.
what nostalgia to watch this again, reminds me of my childhood..🥺❤️
Probably my second best soundtrack to a Disney flick. Thanks Phil! First is Beauty & The Beast for me.
Phil Collins didn't have to go this hard on the soundtracks, but he did it for us
You guys are just so good at this reaction thing. You make every movie even more enjoyable.
Loving the animation reactions. Next up needs to be The Iron Giant one of the greatest animated films.
This made me think how would be an encounter between Tarzan and Simba since both movies take place in Africa
I used to watch this movie EVERY SINGLE DAY for one reason: the amazing soundtrack. As a kid I had never seen anything more epic. This movie is only second to Lion King for my favourite Disney soundtrack
Yes, Vicki is correct, I had the PlayStation game too. It was so much fun growing up
20:00 the beauty and the beast reference❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
2:17 if you can't handle stuff like that in a children's movie, then don't watch Hunchback of Notre Dame
That last sequence with Kerchak and Tarzan reminds me of Anakin and Luke (like both fathers died saving their sons.)
20:00 Yes Vicki, that's the tea pot (Mrs. Potts) & the tea cup son from Disney's Beauty & The Beast. An easter egg 😉🙂
One of my favorite movies as a kid and watching it now seeing the hidden gems I missed and didn't see until now. Great reaction as always Homies ❤️
I watched a LOT of Tarzan movies when I was a child, but it was mostly the old B/W movies feat. Johnny Weißmüller. Although they were very old movies we still loved them. (I think the TV stations got them very cheap, so they showed them alot)
Cheers 👍👍😊😊
I wish someone would give me a dollar for every time I heard Ellie say "This is one of the cutest movies I've ever seen in my life."🤣🤣🤣 But yeah, it's a great movie. Good reaction
Sword drops, Tarzan drops, que' the Clayton shot with a flash of lightning. Freakn perfect 👌
Ellie crying after literally 30 seconds lol
If you wanna watch more like this watch disney's hercules
Nah. She cried literally just two of a half minutes later. Viki, however, cried just ten minutes later.
Yes, the song “Go the Distance” by Michael Bolton is an amazing song… it’s so inspirational
Being adopted myself, this movie always felt more emotional than other Disney movies
Same for me because I'm a color lady and I was adopted by a white couple when I was 13 months.
Until my parents adopted my first sister, I thought I'll become white as an adult
Its not a Tiger or Jaguar. It's a Leopard 🐆
( Fun Fact in Zoology )
1. Tigers live in Asia ( China, Korea, India, Eastern Russia )
2. Jaguars Live in South America
3. Leopards live in Africa
So Tarzan lives in Africa in the Movie
My favorite Disney movie, only Treasure Planet ever really comes close. This was one of the few movies we could afford to watch in theatres when it came out in Puerto Rico and the soundtrack and movie is something that my mother and I bonded over deeply. She used to sing You'll be in my Heart to me constantly and it is by far the easiest way to squeeze a tear out of me to this very day.
41:30 Clayton had one of the darkests deaths in Disney movies...
The disney upbringing, where girls have been told that they're princesses and deserve a prince, it started with this generation of disney movies.
Btw if you ladies want to know how they progress after this movie there was a cartoon tv show showing how they life their lifes together in the jungle i realy recommend you gals watching the show if you have the time it is just as heartwarming if not more then this movie it is one of my personal favorite disney tv shows.
THIS WAS MADE THE YEAR I WAS BORN AND I LOVE TARZAN
25:25
Dog: "wha wats going on? Hm? Oh yea. I dont care. Nap time again."
I love how emotional you all get
This is probably my favorite reaction to my favorite Disney movie
Tarzan is one of the greatest movies of all time and Phil Collins singing ,, Two Worlds one Family", also in german made me tearing 🥺🥺🥺
Hör die Wörter, die dein Schicksal prägen (Put your faith in what you most believe in)
Zwei Welten, eine Familie (Two worlds one family)
Glaub an dich, vertrau darauf (Trust your heart, let fate decide)
Das Leben zeigt dir wie ( To guide these lives we see) ❤❤❤
I adore this movie, and it will always be one of my favorites, but I will always wonder three things: 1. How is Tarzan the only human… in Africa? 2. Is Sabor the only damn leopard and is she immortal? 3. How is Tarzan hairless?
🤔🤔🤔
“Son of Man” alone makes up for it lol
Well, in the books he almost started a war against an afrikan tribe cos a kid killed his step mom while he was hunting... Also kerchack killed his parents and tarzan was cleyton's cousin so he waited till he died to marry jane cos she was his beyonce. The books were waay darker
@@mauriciosalgadogonzalez2305 yeah I remember that. I read them years ago but I just think it’s hilarious that Disney somehow go this movie out them. But am not surprised considering what they did with Pocahontas
@@samblustein1918 well Tarzan is a novel's character. Pocahontas was a historical person so dat's darker
Love this movie, 1 of my favourites, the story, the music are amazing
Savor is actually a leopard. Jaguars live in the Americas
The best Tarzan movie in my opinion
Hard to pick a favorite song here. Some have important messages, and others a history SO FUN!
"I don't get why Kerchak is so cruel."
You should read the first book if you think this is Kerchak being cruel.
It was the second Disney mivie I saw on cinema.
Phil Collins sings all the songs i the french version too.
If you're interested, there's a " Tarzan 2 " about his childhood and a serie about his life with Jane
You were right originally girls, Sabor is a Leopard. Jaguars aren’t native to Africa. And Gorillas are Apes not Monkeys 😂
I recommend watching 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi !!! It's a great movie based on a true event
Best Disney soundtrack still to this day.
@Viki!?!?!? That Tarzan game was so fun!!!!!!!!!!!!
If there's one thing I know for certain is this: Tarzan is NOT going to be remade to live action by Disney for an obvious reason.
@thehomies did you ladies catch that bit at the end. Tarzan and Jane flying through the air and him holding her so gently, and as soon as he got to the nearest outcropping he crowed to the heavens!
Disney movies back then had so much heart and great stories.
Really cool Disney movie and Loved playing this in Kingdom Hearts
2:58 It's a leopard.
That "jaguar" is called a leopard.
Jaguars are bigger and live in South America.
By the way in the original book Keira I never forgave Tarzan and actually.tried to kill Tarzan in the end, and Clayton was actually tarzans cousin and tried to bring Tarzan into society, so Clayton was the good guy and Kerman’s was a bloody bad guy
Sabor was a Leopard. Not a Jaguar. Jaguars come from S-America. Not Africa.
I have seen this movie when I was little and just let you know for those that don't know or don't remember, the cat that killed Tarzan's parents and the baby gorilla is actually a Leopard.
Tarzan is a good movie.
No cap the girl with bright red hair reminds me of Mary Jane Watson 🤣😍
Phil Collins was ON ONE for this movie
When I saw this movie so many years ago, I was kinda happy when Tarzan was choking Kerchak because I kinda hated him trying to show himself off pounding his chest half the time & his hate towards Tarzan
I love watching u guys' reactionvideos cause it feels like im watching my favorite movies with my girlfriends I dont have irl 🥺 Keep it up 💕
4:41 It’s neither tiger nor jaguar. It’s a leopard.
🙂A VERY wonderful animated movie I recommend is “Kubo and the Two Strings” (2016). It’s fantastic! The same studio as Coraline
Loved the reaction Homies - the songs of Phil Collins really brought out the feels on this one, . . .
I love the soundtrack of this movie! Perfect....
