How can you forget the best looking, best built ,most solid Ford truck, the 67-72 body style. The trucks that put the tough in Ford Trucks.Simple well built long lasting, rattle free ,what more could a person ask for?
@@avgeek1930 Always loved the 60-66 Chevys,GMCs,I have a 66 old army truck, also a 72 F-100 lwb 302,t-18 4 SPD and they are both for their age and use clean survivers. And I agree you can't beat a 67-72 ford
The 80-6 F series was a truck that in my eyes were not fit to carry the spare of the 67-9 Fords. The frames were lighten up,the dash was all plastic, and would shake and rattle on rough roads, drop a large can of peaches, you would probably bow the style side tailgate. The bed if worked hard would split at the floor,I could go on but you'd get the idea. To be fair all trucks were going that direction.Fuel mileage standards, emission standards, new buyers were demanding car options and the old school steel interior door panels rubber floor mat trucks were going the way of the of the of the buck board. Today's trucks are safer, most offer better mileage better engine and transmission control and burn far cleaner, but they will never have them charm drive or ride or the feel of an old truck.
Just to let you know Mark, Ford didn't offer the 5.8 liter in 1975 in a pickup unless you consider the Ranchero a truck. The 360/5.9L FE was the base engine in 1975 and was replaced by the 351M/5.8L 335 series engine in 1977. The 300 six, the 302, and 460 were carried on.
They are the swan song of the old school Ford trucks. They had all fuel injected gas engines that had good power and good fuel mileage decent automatic transmissions, and standards,if you didn't thrash them. The interiors seats dash, all pretty nice,a far stronger tailgate than the 80-6s,last year of the twin I beam suspension in the F-150s.The last year of the Ford 300 6,302,351W,engines in the F-150s. I believe the 92-96 Ford Trucks are a pretty good truck. On another thought good luck trying to find a clean same vintage Bronco cheap.
Watched it the first 2 min and disagree ford till the day I die and been a mechanic for 30 years he said the 75 f250 for a crew I'm guessing because it was a 4 door those aren't factory someone made that not ford they used ford parts but not factory and ford has the best selling trucks for 41 years and he probably doesn't know the 6.9 7.3 6.0 were built by international international
1978/9, Classic and distinctive styling!
Early 70s F250 with 300 6cyl .won’t win speed races but also will never die !

I love my 2002 SVT Lightning!! ⚡️⚡️ I bought it new in May 2002. It only has 32k miles.
You missed the 67-72 F100 the best pre 1980 Ford pickup truck and best generation to restore.

I meant 67-79 Ford F series
What about 92-97?. Still have my 97 F350, crew cab, long bed 7.3L. Had it since 2009, runs great and will never get rid of it.
My dad has the same thing and had it since 05, and it's still going at 320k miles. Best diesel engine out there.

Gonna have to disagree on about half of these but a fun watch nonetheless. Thanks
1948-50 F1 is a beautiful truck
Had the very first Lightning. A 93. It was a fun truck. Wish I had kept it.
I go with my 2000 F150 V6 5 speed, still running string 225k
Nice list
This was the most scientific list in history.
What about the 92 to 96 model years?

I will take my 96 power stroke f250 over all of those listed.
68 to 72 chevy 1500,2500 4x4
There are times I wish I traded my 04 mustang gt for the lighting the dealership had on the lot back in 2005.
Did you just call a 6.0 diesel reliable?
Yes! In stock forum the 6.0 is very dependable!
Yes, I had a 05 with the 6.0 put 535,000 kilometres on it
I’m surprised to see two good comments of the 6.0
For only real dudes... 🏁
