- A little trick that seems like magic...
A metal chain, and a solid metal ring. Hold them up with the chain inside the ring. When you drop the ring, instead of it just falling on to the table, it ends up being caught in a knot at the end of the chain. Neat!
Now you just need to make your way to Mordor.
I wish I was a wizard like Tim...
I see you flipping the ring as you let go. Nice little trick.
I still don't get how the chain is looping around like that.
My brain cant
Last year I was out shopping at a store chain here in America called Target at the end of November. I was in the $1 section they have in the front of every store and I saw this being sold as a puzzle, I was like hey this looks cool cause I like puzzles and I bought it. When I opened it to me it looks like something that didn't look like a puzzle or anything special. But when I asked a few of my friend what it was they showed me the true trick behind it.
keep on rocking big man
hiya tim.. have you tried holding the ring between your thumb and index finger and releasing at the same time, so the ring knocks off the curled knuckle of the middle finger and sets the spin. this way is far more deceptive as you look as if you are just dropping it. great trick. Cheers
so spin the ring before you drop it?
Is this on tv i really like it
Fascinating… I'd love to see this in a close up slo mo…
"But the advanced one, which I started with.."
It's magical!
Great trick and you look like Anthony Hopkins and even your voice is like his :D
What sort of sorcery is this?
As he is dropping the ring, he first releases the ring with the thumb so the ring gets a litttle bit of rotation. Tthen the chain has to go over the outside of the ring. This is far easier with the ring rotating i guess. After he let go the ring I can't see clearly what is going on but that is the only way i can imagine that the cain forms a loop around the ring.
My eyes are just staring , but brain is not working
NEAT ! ! !

I figured it out, but after reading the comments I went back, and put the video on .25 speed at
