- My second year film at CalArts! Making this has been a journey, from coming up with the idea and to finally executing it. There are many things I would've done differently if I were to make it again, but I'm still happy with how it turned out in the end. Hope it resonates with you guys in some way!

I don't think I have ever seen a film before that stayed on one view - no panning or zooming or cutaways - for the entire film. At first it seems like an unnecessary restraint, but in this film it works to show that we are seeing only one view of the lives of the characters, leaving it up to our imagination to fill in what happens from a wider perspective. I like the effect.
Beautiful … love how the bright colors fade when he leaves but then slowly come back as more time passes. Some things don´t work out in the end, just try to keep your memories fond, not bitter

I really liked how the small changes to the environment displayed the characters internal conflicts and actions. This a sweet little short, and I can't wait to see more. What inspired you to create this?
Thank you! I'm so happy you caught that! It's hard to say what inspired the story.. probably a mixture of a lot of different people I've met in life and wondering how much impact we've had on one another's lives ultimately.

Wow, this is amazing, but I hope you didn't get tired of drawing the same trees, grass, and lake from the same view over and over again! It must have been hard to keep it looking consistent! This is really pretty, well done!

@@maudheusghem1659 Nothing special. Both visited the lake several times again, but never met. Got children by their own, will say, with different partners. May be the main thing is the memories to some good times. Never mind the quarrel.

This is so good, I'm crying. May I please know what your framerate was for this and how long it took you to make it?
thank you so much! I was animating in a hurry so I had to stick to 6 - 8 frames per second, the whole thing from conception to finish took 3 months :)

hiya! Loved the animation, so heart felt and touching! I was wondering how long this took you and what applications you used?
Hey! Thanks for taking the time to leave such a nice comment :) From conception to finish it took around 4 months time! I used Photoshop for the backgrounds, TVpaint for the animation, and AfterEffects to put everything together. Hope this helps!
