About that weird death in the end part- bayonet charging increases your resistance to damage (basically it gives you extra life). It only gives you a smidge but it's enough to survive a one shot kill sniper round to the chest and keep going. It gives you a little edge, and from your perspective it looked glitchy so they should do something about that, but an otherwise lethal may lay weapon strike won't kill a bayonet charging opponent at full health. Just so you know.

I absolutely love using the attack plane just because if I'm being tailed, I can quickly get into the gunner seat, shoot down the plane shooting me, them get back in the pilot's seat
If you still need the quad feed with the kolibri you can toss c4 on the zeppelin and shoot it with the kolibri and when it explodes and destroys the zeppelin you will have the quad. hope this helps if your having trouble.
