Jimmy and the TNN crew interview Jerry from The Misfits at the Observatory in Santa Ana. Christina and Mike B sit him down backstage before the show. tnnradio.org
i basically agree, i mean no one would be using the term "horror punk" if not for the misfits. but the cramps and the damned were punk bands using horror imagery a little bit before the misfits, while 45 grave and t.s.o.l. weren't far behind.
anybody can say jerry wouldn't be shit without glenn some can say glenn wouldn't be shit without jerry. but without glenn and jerry, there wouldn't be the MISFITS!!!
Notice his overuse of words like "I" and "me". Also notice his lack of focus on the actual music and instead on a bandname that he turned into a brand. Just because he's polite and acts nice doesn't mean he's humble. He's a tacky self-righteous poser who fills his clueless fan's heads with absolute shit. He genuinely thinks he's an icon to a genre he's done nothing for, only marketing the shit out of it. He's everything that genuine punk stands against. Also, he has a terrible habit of touching everyone all the time.
NapalmDisaster 👍🏻 he’s not remotely punk and Misfits was always Danzig’s, he left it way behind, Jerry wanted to ride on those coattails coz no-one cared about Krsyst the Conquerer, he wanted money and wanted to be a rock star...Danzig all of everything in Misfits before Jerry reformer them, even his lil bro Doyle said so.. thecurrent Misfits is the worst, the weakest, so sanitised and shit...
hey johnny no.. he came in a month after the original bassist left and they needed a replacement, so technically he was part of the second lineup.. The Misfits was Glenn's idea, not Jerry's
I don't understand the whole "family friendly only" thing. Punk was created to get back to real rock 'n' roll... Rebellion and revolution. Jerry will never compete with Disney and that's why Glenn Danzig will always be more successful, sex and danger sell punk music. The hardcore straight edge stuff may as well be another religion, in a world full of religious vomit.
2:34 ... ahhh well what he's referring to Evilive EP (the 7 inch from 82) and then there was the Evilive album from 87- then he's talking about the deA.D. Alive album from 2013. But there was Evilive II released on CD in 1998 released by The Misfits directly available only through the Fiend Club.
love when jerry talks about "the kids"
Keep it going Jerry! Misfits are the greatest! I'm definitely a Fiend for life
ONE of the first horror punk bands? the Misfits are the very first horror punk band fact.

Danzig & his fascination with 50s/60s si-fi comics. Band named after Marylin Monroe's last movie.
Hard not to love this guy!!!!
my dad was the one who got me into punk rock but he didn't know who the misfits were I found them myself and I'm glad that I did
how much into punk could he be if he don't know the misfits.....there one of the biggest punk bands ever since 77'
Ok Casper
THE FIRST horror punk band, these guys inspired some of todays music and still continue to inspire people today.
Dude is just so positive. Listening to him talk about planning and being prepared, he’s a fiend in the streets but a gentlemen backstage.
anybody can say jerry wouldn't be shit without glenn some can say glenn wouldn't be shit without jerry. but without glenn and jerry, there wouldn't be the MISFITS!!!

caleb gossett i'm responding to you saying he was a part of the original lineup.. when if you did your research you'd know he definitely wasn't
