Hi, I know it's been a while but yes, the recipe is typically: 2-Parts Aggregates to 1-Part White Cement mixture, and note! If you want good results you have to mix your cement with QUARTZ sand (you can go gray too if you want gray floors). It is also possible to add pigments.
When casting large surfaces it is important to lay a thin concrete or 50:50 concrete/asphalt mix foundation layer before laying terrazzo, and do not cast terrazzo slabs over 120cm x 120cm, or your flooring might crack with time, lay thin rubber or metal strips first. Any decent work done in domestic spaces can last well over a century with proper care.

@@buildtek3670 we do it a little different here in California... we pour tread first then face all at once...we mix our mud with a lot more marble...
That's why we pour tread first so when we trowel face it has that little bit extra to hold it up,! Just saying... your mud is really rich with cement...that's ok as long as it works for you!
We almost always put a cove in our steps when poured in place...
Have you ever worked with epoxy Terrazzo,? We use fine glass filler...like cotton...real light and fluffy makes mud stiff so stays up on face...
@@jamescoleakaericunderwood2503 it still was under construction at that time so there were other workers need to use the stair. That's why we had to start with the face first.
Yes, we also use glass filler for the mud. We have never worked with epoxy Terrazzo.

Hi! I just finished a 4 foot oval with red broken Granite in field with Black matrix with serpentine rock between the broken Granite...in the center is a Native American Salmon little over 3 feet it has 80 individual panels in 3 feet... would love to share pictures with you...

What type of disc you use to polish?
We would do it in separate coats, a base coat and 2 finish coats....wet sand on finish....with seperate coats you cut down on polishing as there are fewer imperfections.....still beautiful but looks really slippery.....could add a non skid clear coat in end

I do grind stones with 800- 1000- 2000 wet pads . Are they metal wheels? Or are pads.
My question was what type of grinding wheel did you used for wet & dry? A stone grinding wheel? Or soft pad used on granite/ marble

Hi. Depending on how you want Terrazzo to look like, you can use white or grey cement plus gravel, fine glass filler, and waterproofing liquid (add to the mixture). Different ratios of gravels will result in the different unique looks of Terrazzo.

Đúng vậy! Về cơ bản vẫn là đá mài (Terrazzo) nhưng mẫu mã và vật liệu hiện nay đa dạng hơn trước nhiều. Phương pháp thi công cũng đa đạng hơn, như có loại đúc sẵn. Đá mài hiện nay không chỉ ứng dụng cho sàn nhà mà với cả đồ nội thất, đồ decor nữa.

chuẩn, mình đang tính nói mẫu đá mài này với xương cá từ những năm 90. Dạng đá mài này giờ nếu có làm thì nên làm cho showroom, những nơi mang tính trang trí cao. Còn khi sử dụng tầm 10 năm chủ nhà sẽ hối hận. Điển hình là chính mình

Привет. Очень хорошо сцепляется с бетонным основанием при высыхании. Он стабилен и безопасен в использовании.
Сейчас вообще модны лестницы, где каждая ступень отдельная и да, только к стене. Погугли "парящая лестница".
@@AndrewSadin Собственно, это бесплитная лестница или зигзагообразная лестница. С одной стороны, за стеной, есть косая балка, которая помогает поддерживать лестницу. Почему вы считаете его слабым?

Actually, this is a slabless staircase or zig zag staircase. There is a stringer beam on one side, behind the wall, that helps to support the staircase. Why do you think it's weak?

Я что-то не заметил... Если вы про то, как с торца выглядит - так там, возможно, только на нём получается "зазор", в глубине должно быть все довольно монолитно. Ну и так - по сути сделали "накладку" из прочного материала :о)
