I live you channel. It is so diverse and you explain all the parts clearly. I too am dealing with a sub floor issue. Thank you for your time and experience with your renovating.
Oh my goodness, I’m so sorry you both had to deal with so much yucky damage, I can’t even imagine. This video was so informative. Thank you for sharing with us. You both are such a good team. 👏
So very grateful for this video. I had a cat that was sick and urinated on the floor quite a bit. It is absolutely disgusting and I could never imagine leaving a home like that for someone else to move into. I do want to move and I'm hoping I can do some are the renovations you did to repair the room. Thank you
We want to do some renovations to update our place to sell we bought it not knowing our back door leaked and the bathtub and toilet subfloor areas aren't good. So we want to be able to do this adorably . You've saved us thank you
I used peroxide to “eat” subfloor urine. Many times and lots of scrubbing etc. Let it dry. Used oil stains and then clear poly sealed it. Several coats. Did pretty good but I don’t think the pet urine went that deep. Def smells better in there now. But the key is to use something enzymatic on pet urine or on anything else biological. It “eats” it so it deals with stains and smells simultaneously.
That was a big job! Thank goodness the LE can take care of the damaged floor! I’m currently having my wood kitchen floor converted to tile. What a mess but will look fantastic in a few days! Nice job LE!!!

A lot of the smell is in the walls and subfloors. We had to rip up the carpeting and wood floors and it still smells. Maybe painting the subfloors will help.
Robin Johnson yeah it was terrible finding out what was underneath the carpet. I’m so glad we fixed everything and I know my kids are breathing safe air in our home. 🙂
Great information, I’m having the same issue in my kitchen area. Just wondering did you use Shellac first then primer, separately or can you even put on on top of the other? Thank you.
I'm wondering why you used two different products to seal different parts of the floor (shellac vs the other primer used). I see the shellac being used only in some parts whereas the other primer was used on the entire subfloor after done with repairs. I am using your tips to repair my sunfloor after our dogs destroyed our carpets.

My family was about to have Lowe’s install our vinyl flooring, and on the day of installation they told us they can’t do that because our particle board isn’t up to the standards. How do we seal our particle board before putting vinyl planks on top without using wet leveler or spending 1000$s on plywood? Thanks a lot!! Really look forward hearing your answer!
