I actually had this version of the douay-rheims when I was in college. I remember it fondly because There is/was a really noticeable typo in one of the Gospels. I don’t have it any more because I gave it to a friend who was looking for DRB. Plus I had a second version in a version put out by TAN.
I am really struggling to find the perfect DR’s bible. Looking for clean large print for my old eyes and willing to sacrifice overall size. Not a fan of the cover of this but St. Benedict version does not seem to have large font.
I confess it is strange in a couple places. It also has some places in Psalms that render oddly. Also because it follows the Septuagint, it has some minor differences here and there. The Psalms are odd here and there, and numbered differently. Also there are extra Proverbs (8 of them if I caught them all). I’ll be doing a video or two about it once I am done.

I haven’t made it to the gospels yet. It will be interest to see if I catch the typo.
Very nice. Love the Lord's prayer in the douay. Give us this day our supersubstantial bread... (Eucharist)
Thank you, Brother Tim 🌹🌹🌹🌹

The Baronius Large Print is probably the best option.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Thank you!
Have you ever reviewed a TAN Books Douay-Rheims from either 1971 or 1989?
I’ve done a paperback.
There’s also a pocket size
Yeah, that’s one I’d like to eventually get.
So this large size doesn't have the woodcut images like the standard size does?
It does.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews ah, great. Thanks for the quick reply!
Nice looking Bibles!
And Baronius press did make Bibles out of real genuine leather, but for some reason they stop doing it and they went to a cheaper, bonded leather
Interesting.
It looks like it doesn’t have the illustrations that come with the pocket size Baronius press edition.
It does. I failed to point that out.
What are your thoughts on the translation?

DONE
Is the standard size sewn binding? Thank you for this review 😊
It sure is!
