- There's something about Saya. She's young and beautiful. She's also a CGI robot.
Saya is one of 83 finalists in Japan's annual Miss iD Beauty Pageant, where she's competing against human contestants. Saya was created by husband and wife CGI artists in 2015. The competition is about finding new, and slightly alternative, model talent.
And she's not the only AI contestant. Microsoft's Rinna is competing, too.
So, now the question is: does human beauty stand a chance when matched up against robots?

Imagine a living CGI character with A.I that can be use as actress in various movie and video game.. video game development budget Will low.. low budget video game
Nugraha Animation Do you even have any idea about how much time and money and resources it takes to make an A.I. character in a game especially if you want to make it look realistic ?
Yes it is expensive to develop living CGI with A.I.. I mean, when CGI with A.I like Saya completed her development.. next video game just hire Saya to be video game character just like hire an actress. no need to hire voice actor.. no need time and budget to build character Animation... just install saya or put Saya into video game.. she Will act, read script and play the character role for video game.. next time.. Saya can be use for other video game..
The CGI it self is already living being.. just like Doki Doki literature become real life

Nugraha Animation Now talking technically and scientifically, you will need to spend thousands of dollars just to run such a game as higher graphics + more advanced A.I = more powerful system to run it. So it will get more and more complex as you upgrade the different characters of a game and you will need more and more power to run it. Saya itself as a C.G.I. without any A.I. capabilites needs a very powerful system to run and animate but addition of an A.I. to it will make it at least a hundred times more complex as the A.I. itself has to calculate every movement of the character so the processing nodes are totally different and you will Tensor cores in place of the general processors to run such a setup.
You can really see the difference as the artists go up against the natural world. Saya's movements do not carry subtle realism and are some what cartoonish. Also the physics are wrong, hair is a bit more stiff in movement, not so buoyant to the air. Much to overcome but we are steadily getting there. Check out CG Tarkin vs Real Tarkin to see how we are getting down to the nitty gritty of realism. This has more to do with animating than anything else. She looks great.

ha ha ha, keep dreamin'.. you're probably good for another 10yrs or so, this isn't a robot but an animated 3D model, but the closer we get to robots the less defenses you're all going to have..
Monstah Jones dude ya can't compare.. human women are alive, have feelings, and they are beautiful, and world's creation. Besides, I don't think I wanna have a 3D model or a robot as a girlfriend.
I wouldn't worry too much. They still haven't gotten CGI hair right yet for one thing.

This so amazing and advance! To me this can maybe help those who had their love ones lost n turn into CGI like this. I think this would be nice. A way to remember someone or yourself.

An order for CGI and future robots to look real, they will need to look Asian. Asian people’s features are nearly perfect with flawless, blemish free, smooth skin and healthy, sleek, shiny hair. Non-Asians have flaws (wrinkled, pocked, freckled skin, etc.) that would make it impossible to incorporate into a CGI’s and robot’s appearance for it to look real and natural.
