Shenzhen is a wonderful and charming city. Shenzhen is also a high-tech city. It is a young and energetic city. If you are a foreign friend, you really want to visit Shenzhen, China. It is also the city with the most high-rise buildings in the world, ranking first.
The key point is: you can walk the streets at 3:00am without worrying about become victim of robbery. Most importantly, there is no drug addicts and homeless. And this is true in all Chinese cities.

Casino doesn’t exist as they are forbidden. You have to have your passeport on yourself at all times, police randomly check citizens, in the bus for example. If you don’t, it’s straight to the police station. You have to declared yourself to the police station when you’re visiting the country, if you’re staying at the hotel, they doing it for you. Never photograph any cop or official buildings. Surveillance camera absolutely everywhere even in private places. So yeah, you don’t see a homeless person because idk wtf they do to them. Being homeless is not a disease, but it probably is in China. They made the choice of control and security, but sacrificed freedom. I grow up at Shenzhen and now I'm an international student in Canada, I've been to all the big cities in Canada, I've also been to US east, like Boston, NY, Orlando etc. In my opinion, I would say Shenzhen is still the most modernized city I've ever been to.

i am in shengzhen right now , all vehicles either 2 wheeler,3 wheeler,cars and buses are running electric. Air is clean, town is quite(no noise pollution cause by the traffic),people are friendly, everywhere is clean and tidy,the public transport is top notch, the cost of goods & services are reasonable. China is another level.
I would honestly love to visit China the media always seems to label it for its many bad parts but I feel like anywhere in the world you have good and bad… but honestly I’d love to get a chance to see China for myself as a kid I used to love the country.. I lived in Shenzhen for 4 years. One of my favorite places. Very safe, easy to navigate, and not too expensive. It gets very humid and hot in the summer, though!

Who cares about safety? Such a strange thing to say. I can’t imagine Europeans looking at safety rankings and choosing Switzerland over Italy for a holiday because crime stats are better. That would be weird. I much prefer Mexico to China. Love China but I prefer Mexico. Crime stats don’t bother me .same with New York . I wouldn’t choose Geneva because it’s safer. Couldn’t care less.

Shenzhen has several districts, and each district has a central business district. I traveled China last month and walked around Futuna CBD at night. Amazing!
