  • The Wilson House shaped trends and innovated the residential designs of its day and beyond. Today, the house remains as one of the best examples of mid-century modern style homes in the state. Some cutting-edge features included one of the state’s very first kitchen islands and sunken bathtubs!

Am I the only one who still thinks the house's colors are beautiful 😂?. I lived in Temple from 1981- late 90's. I drove by Wilson Art laminate company for many years and was curious if that huge plant that sat off HWY 35 was still in business..I had several friends that worked there and was doing my dandiest to get hired on there when the company I welded 30 years for and retired from called me. I loved working there because I had a boss who was an incredible man. You don't find that very often and that was the reason I stayed there for do many years. He eventually passed away and his son took over the business and wanted to change so much that his father and I proved to be successful..So I stayed long enough to complete my 30 years and retired. I was wondering if that huge Wilson Art company that sits off Hwy 35 in Temple Tx is still in business. They had just opened a new adhesive plant when I went to work for the company I ended up working for. So that's how I ended up here was to see if that huge laminate plant was still open.

My mom lived in this neighborhood as a teenager in the 1970s. I wonder if she’s familiar with this.

Don’t tell us you’re the master of knowledge in an area, convince us by what you actually know.
