    Greetings from France 🇫🇷
    You're a really good skater. I haven't skateboarded since I was 18, over 30 years ago. Your videos reignite the desire to get back into it. But at a certain age, there's a good chance of skating alone. Take care of yourself and your skateboard, and keep up the great work.

    Both those sealers are a solid choice. That tall boy will coat a whole curb top & front in one pass. But the brush on attracts less attention I think. I like the Behr Low Luster version, it's even more low key. After it dries ( I do like 3-4 coats) it hardly looks different than the raw curb. You can even use a $10 garden sprayer, then it just looks like you're watering the plants or killing weeds! Add SteelStick or similar for the expansion joints, and you've got 100 feet of continuous curb!

    • @dadboard
      @dadboard  Рік тому

      $20 for this can was kinda steep too, although I have about 1/3rd of it left after making two spots skatable so idk, I really love how fast it goes on.

    • @charliebecker
      @charliebecker Рік тому

      @@dadboard yeah, I usually go a few coats, so the can goes quick if you’re starting a curb. That Behr Brush-on is a muuuuch better value for first coats! Then you can come back with cans for touch up after a while when things aren’t sliding as well.

If anyone says anything ignore them or if they really press you, just be polite and dismissive and if it’s a big thing just come back and finish it later. If I were you I’d go early and instead of spray on laquor go for some roll on concrete sealer with a glossy finish. Be careful not to overdo it because that shit is slippery as fuck so someone could potentially slip just walking over it, maybe grab a couple parking cones and some caution tape and leave that around the spot while it dries so nobody skates it too early or dies trying to walk up the curb

    Isnt it just easier to find a painted curb?

      Easier if they're available, but since when has skateboarding been about easy mode? Personally I have almost as much fun cleaning up and prepping a spot as I do skating it. Also I know he's on the west coast where a nice red painted curb is standard, but I'm in the northeast and wll we have is raw concrete or yellow curbs that are 90% chunked up.

      @@ChipSuey207 my suggestion is super markets because they all have fire lanes and painted curbs usually in the front and sometimes they go the whole length of the store so if you go at the end and start waxing it your less likely to get kicked out also in my 20 years of skateboarding i just tried deck rails for the first time and i feel dumb for not using them before there so much fun

      Fuck, man heal up soon! The height is pretty perfect for a ledge imo. I actually want to keep the bark and dirt there because I’m super sketched out on double sided curbs/ledges and flat bars. I know it’s mental but I must have PTSD from a fall when I was a kid or something.
