Okay this might be a streach but I think I have an explanation of both Take Kwon Crow hating dares and changing element. For the dares: the reason he hates is because he may have lost someone close to him from one, in imagiators he says "No barrier can stop Tae Kwon Crow! Except maybe emotional barriers. But I'm working on that!" This implies that something happened to him in the past involving dares that scarred him DEEP (like maybe a freind, relative, or partner loosing there life to a dare) and that caused him to turn down a dark path. For the elemental change: He probably was originally a fire element before whatever happened to him to hate dare and sent him down a dark path. After becoming a Senseis, he was able to finally get some help with his trauma and allowed him to revert back to his true element
for Tae Kwon Crow, I like to think that after he became a sensei, someone dared him to change elements and he was so mad he somehow managed to do it, even if it doesn’t make any sense He was that angry
Not only did Eon make Hood a Skylander, who the entire Trap Team division unanimously *hated,* but Eon made Hood a Skylander that I take to be, in terms of the hierarchy of the Skylanders, one of the Trap Team’s *superiors.* Crazy work (I see the hierarchy going from “least” to “greatest” Giants, Senseis, Swap Force, Trap Team, and at the “bottom rank” being the Core and the Superchargers equally. I can imagine possibly swapping around the Trap Team and the Swap Force in the order, too.)
I really hope Skylanders gets popular again just so that we could get a show about the drama and infighting that happens at the Academy, because the drama must be good because the entirety of a branch hates a singular teacher for some reason and we don’t know why
What I find most interesting about Hood Sickle is that he is the only one (as far as I'm aware) that was able to leave the undead element. Undead seems like the easiest element to switch into, with characters like Ghost Roaster, Hex, Fright Rider (and Ozzy), and presumably Wolfgang all not originally being a part of that element until their transformations. So Hood Sickle being able to leave that element really fascinates me. Maybe he's more powerful than we all suspected

My theory for Hood Sickle changing elements is his scythe. No really, think about it: he has a one-sided scythe in Trap Team that allowed him to summon ghosts when he teleported. In Imaginators, his scythe is now double-sided and whenever he teleports, he leaves behind dark remnants.
I believe I have a reason for why hoodsickle changed his elements. You see grim creeper isn’t actually death but just a ghost in sentient armor. Hood sickle is an entirely different species and because of the fact when you look at him, there’s really nothing that screams undead. The only thing he has was skull pads but that’s it. Two it’s because there’s already a skylander that’s a grim reaper so having another one wouldn’t make sense so he most likely was originally a dark element but probably asked dreamcatcher to switch his element for him to be more scary. But after trap team he went back to his old element to represent his reformation.
I once thought about it, and reached the conclusion that he changed to dark since it could be considered "creepier" than undead, as the initial fear of undead wasn't a thing anymore, it makes sense for a guy who scares people as his main occupation to switch to a new, mysterious element based around literal darkness and nightmares. How did he manage to do that? Dunno, but this is my best bet

I’d like to say my interpretation of the elements is ‘what magical source do they tap into to get their power’ so I think the idea of them swapping element is just due to them changing powers. Also this reminds me of the debate saying “if chop chop is arkeyan then can’t he tap into magic and tec too?” I think lore wise it’s also just the characters choice so that what they can do, and chose to do are separate things.

I think the reason why there is very minimal amount of environments that sometimes things are kept from certain groups of Skylanders, but also that it may just be that they think that this will help the greater good and to put past grudges aside for now.

I mean, he's a mummy and one of his attacks is literally summoning bones out of the ground. Sure, he has stone as part of his body and he works for the Golden Queen who is also part of the earth element but still. Him being part of the water element honestly made no sense to me and I have a feeling that like several villains they wanted to include him so they retconned a few things so he could be included. This is what I think happened with a lot of villains that became sensei Skylanders in Imaginators because some changes seem off to me. Like some make sense: Golden Queen wields a staff and turns stuff into gold so her being an Earth Sorcerer makes sense. Dr. Krankcase wields a good gun and is a half machine mad scientist. Alright, just give him another goo gun and boom Tech Quickshot. Tae Kwon Crow becoming a fire ninja kinda makes sense because he had ninja stars as his secondary attack in tap team and his move set/aesthetic never really screamed dark element honestly. But some of the others, are odd like Bad Juju and Chompy Mage basically going from sorcerer types to a swashbuckler and bazooker respectively. I'm kinda rambling at this point but like you said in the video, I think Activision just wanted to include fan favorite villains but the fan favorite villains weren't exactly evenly distrusted by element and weapon type so they "reworked" a few of them to fit the new game. Also, as for your theory about why Blaster-Tron is in the light element, it makes sense to me because many Tech Skylanders have a steampunk aesthetic which would become outdated with how Skylands seems to function in the future.

Kaos (apparently) was a clone in imaginators, that is why you can play him. A lot of people didn't really like that explanation, I am fine with it I guess. Also Kaos is the only skylander with his own element.
It might be possible that hoodsickle is actually naturally a dark skylander and he was corrupted with the undead element like the other 2 cases you mentioned of that happening
What really baffles me is how and why the Doom Raiders chose to be good, they’re a villainous organisation and in Imaginators they’re technically working alongside the same people who put them in prison.
They chose to be good and become Senseis because it was that or go back to the newly-rebuilt Cloudcracker Prison. And since being imprisoned sucks...they picked the redemption path.
another really weird note on Blaster-tron is... well... he doesn't have any agency let's look back at past robots: Drill Sergeant, Bouncer, Magna Charge, maybe Spy Rise, Wind Up, Jawbreaker, and Gear Shift, all of these guys are still sentient and sapient robots (you could argue against Drill but he's had his own agency ever since Terrafin told him to, it's a gray area), they make their own decisions and do whatever they want, meanwhile, the supposedly high-tech Blaster-tron speaks in emotional analysis and has no agency of his own, he literally got reprogrammed to be good, is this because he was a mass-produced war machine? Well, no, Bouncer was meant to fight for Arkus but he's his own person, this supposedly futuristic robot is less advanced than modern tech, but on top of all that, it also makes the Skylanders look *really* shady. Now, I've joked the Skylanders don't run background checks due to them hiring people like Trig, but they're normally portrayed as altogether altruistic with rare exceptions like Ghost Roaster, but the whole 'let's just plain reprogram Blaster-tron and give him no sense of self' thing is... really weird, it's oddly morally gray for them, I was kinda hoping you'd touch on the moral implications of fundamentally changing someone's personality like that but eh, elements are interesting too.
My take is that it could be that Blaster-tron was intentionally made to lack agency of his own so he can follow his adjective to the letter. It’s harder to control a solider if they rather act on their own accord and debate your commands. Why else would there be a good and evil switch if he wasn’t designed to be a one track minded drone?
@@mm123gchannel9 if it's meant to be a soldier, why is there a Good/Evil switch? I know evil tends to be card-carrying in Skylands, but why would they make a way for Blaster-tron to them become good? Plus, the Arkeyans, the most oppressive warlords in all of Skylands, who had actual slaves, still gave their robot soldiers agency. And still, the Skylanders are filled with mechanics, why would none of them try to give Blaster-tron a life of his own? It's oddly cruel to just kinda... take advantage of Blaster-tron's limited programming when there are tons of robots among the Skylanders' ranks.

I think another question could be asked, lore wise, is why so many technological villians in trap team are not of the Tech element in the first place? Like Krankenstein, Shield Shredder, Fisticuffs, and Scrap Shooter are all mechanical beings made of wood and they all look very similar, but why are they Air, Life, Dark, and Fire elements respectively? Surely at least 1 of them would have been Tech, right? I could see the argument for some of them, but why is Fisticuffs Dark? Also, a similar question could be asked about Grinnade(Who is Fire), and Lob Goblin(Light)? Or why Eye-Five and Eye Scream are Light and Dark dispite their similarites as nightmarish beings.
the simple reason for the tech element is because they wanted to have a lot of villikins (wood puppet villains) in the game but the tech element was already full from all the troll mechs, so they splattered them around other elements
It kinda sucks how his non skylander related content under preforms, because like neon batteries is probably going to run out of things to talk about skylanders soon and he’ll loose a lot of his audience because he would not really be able to talk about skylanders as much since he covered like tons of it
Couldn't beings in Skylands just learn how to control different elements? Spyro IIRC can control more than just fire, but usually just sticks to fire-based attacks. Not to mention that if a creature in Skylands doesn't inherently belong to any element, could it learn any element it wanted?

let's look back at past robots: Drill Sergeant, Bouncer, Magna Charge, maybe Spy Rise, Wind Up, Jawbreaker, and Gear Shift, all of these guys are still sentient and sapient robots (you could argue against Drill but he's had his own agency ever since Terrafin told him to, it's a gray area), they make their own decisions and do whatever they want, meanwhile, the supposedly high-tech Blaster-tron speaks in emotional analysis and has no agency of his own, he literally got reprogrammed to be good, is this because he was a mass-produced war machine? Well, no, Bouncer was meant to fight for Arkus but he's his own person, this supposedly futuristic robot is less advanced than modern tech, but on top of all that, it also makes the Skylanders look *really* shady.
Now, I've joked the Skylanders don't run background checks due to them hiring people like Trig, but they're normally portrayed as altogether altruistic with rare exceptions like Ghost Roaster, but the whole 'let's just plain reprogram Blaster-tron and give him no sense of self' thing is... really weird, it's oddly morally gray for them, I was kinda hoping you'd touch on the moral implications of fundamentally changing someone's personality like that but eh, elements are interesting too.
My take is that it could be that Blaster-tron was intentionally made to lack agency of his own so he can follow his adjective to the letter. It’s harder to control a solider if they rather act on their own accord and debate your commands. Why else would there be a good and evil switch if he wasn’t designed to be a one track minded drone?
@@mm123gchannel9 if it's meant to be a soldier, why is there a Good/Evil switch? I know evil tends to be card-carrying in Skylands, but why would they make a way for Blaster-tron to them become good?
Plus, the Arkeyans, the most oppressive warlords in all of Skylands, who had actual slaves, still gave their robot soldiers agency.
And still, the Skylanders are filled with mechanics, why would none of them try to give Blaster-tron a life of his own?
It's oddly cruel to just kinda... take advantage of Blaster-tron's limited programming when there are tons of robots among the Skylanders' ranks.
@@_antisocialmedia6377because alot of the past robots in skylanders were either originally organic, or made to have emotions. Blaster-tron comes from the future which we don’t see any arkeans or signs of their tech. Meaning blaster tron is a different type of robot all together.

I think another question could be asked, lore wise, is why so many technological villians in trap team are not of the Tech element in the first place?
Like Krankenstein, Shield Shredder, Fisticuffs, and Scrap Shooter are all mechanical beings made of wood and they all look very similar, but why are they Air, Life, Dark, and Fire elements respectively? Surely at least 1 of them would have been Tech, right? I could see the argument for some of them, but why is Fisticuffs Dark? Also, a similar question could be asked about Grinnade(Who is Fire), and Lob Goblin(Light)?
Or why Eye-Five and Eye Scream are Light and Dark dispite their similarites as nightmarish beings.
the simple reason for the tech element is because they wanted to have a lot of villikins (wood puppet villains) in the game but the tech element was already full from all the troll mechs, so they splattered them around other elements

Couldn't beings in Skylands just learn how to control different elements? Spyro IIRC can control more than just fire, but usually just sticks to fire-based attacks.
Not to mention that if a creature in Skylands doesn't inherently belong to any element, could it learn any element it wanted?
