Oh, you are too sweet. Thank YOU for your support. If you don't mind replying, I'd love to know how you found my video. I've had a huge influx of watches for this one in the last two days and can't seem to pinpoint the source of it. Thanks so very much!
Aw, thank you so much!! Good luck on the hunt. I do have a link in the video description of some star beads that are a little bit larger than mine, but should still work okay. Let me know if you have any questions. Merry Christmas!
Oh, that's so awesome. I'm sure they're very special to you. I can't bear to use the several boxes of family ones that I have acquired. Instead, I pick them up while thrifting and use those instead! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. Thank you!
Thanks so much for the tutorial! Am going to use up my button stash to make ornaments to add to wrapping I am doing at the mall to raise money for our Food Bank.
Oh, this warms my heart that my little tutorial will go toward your efforts to serve your community. How wonderful! Thank you for letting me know! ❤️❤️
Aw, thanks! As I said, I'm a big hoarder of buttons. I don't know why, but they're just one of those things that I can barely walk away from at a thrift store. I've gotten better about it since my collection is so large now. Ha. Thanks for watching.
If making the loop seems troublesome, you might want to just twist the wire then form it into its own hook for hanging! But, the original way is pretty easy too once you go for it. Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions at all! Thanks so much for watching, Shirley!
Kaylin, They really are SO EASY! It felt a little shameful making a video of how to create them, but I thought that they were just too cute not to share. I hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas too!
Hmm, it would be worth a shot, especially if they're not going to be handled much. You could also try glitter glue and/or Stickles (brand name). I would personally just try one or two to see how it works out before I did a whole batch of them though. I'd love to hear how it works out for you! Great idea and good luck!
What size are the star beads, please? Would 12-15mm work? If so, where to find these? Thanks so much. Can't wait to do this with my crafty ladies church group! Dee
Dee, The star beads I used just came from Dollar Tree and are in the 10mm range. I've linked some in the description box on Amazon, but they're only 7mm - they're just the closest thing I could find on Amazon. And, the size of the star just depends on the buttons you use. I personally just used what I had on hand. Much like a real Christmas Tree, the size of the star all depends on the tree you have. And, sometimes your star might be too big because you got a smaller tree this year than last year. With that said, 12mm beads might work great and make a bigger statement. It's all personal preference. I say go for it!
The stars? The ones I used were purchased at Dollar Tree, but I have a link in the description box to some similar ones on Amazon. I'm glad you like these!
Hey! I think for this project I was using 26 gauge, but believe that 24 would work just as well. I say try whatever you have before going to get something specific. This is absolutely a use-what-you-have project!! Don't hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions.
Nancy, I found the ones I used at Dollar Tree. But, as with any DT item, sometimes you can find them and sometimes you can't. I do believe that in the description box, I have a link to some similar ones that I found on Amazon. I hope that helps. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions!
I hope I saw the tree buttons on Facebook and I thought I'd check out how to make them and you are video popped up. What I want to know is do you have to use wire can you use fishing line? Because I have a lot of that
Hey, I'm so glad you found me. As for using the fishing line, I have to admit that it's not something I've used for much crafting. If you use crimp beads to secure it, I think it would work. But, I feel much safer using the wire personally, as it's a material I work with often. I'm sorry I can't help more.WIshing you the best!
Oh, with a white tree, I could see doing a whole plethora of bright, fun colors of these. I'm thinking hot pink, aqua blue, lime green, plum...Have fun with it!!
It's been a little while. However, I did see some a few months ago in one of my local Dollar Trees. It's just one of those things you have to keep your eyes out for. Good luck and thanks for watching!!
Hi there! I love the way these look and will be making them this year. I was just wondering, do you have an Amazon alternative to those stars for the top?
Hi Terry! I'm so happy you like these little button trees. Thanks for your watch and for the great question. I really should probably add a few links to my products so thanks for that reminder. As for the star beads, I found these (amzn.to/2GkvvEa) that are a metal alloy and do come in several colors like the plastic ones I used. I hope it helps! Thanks again!!
Mine are in the 10-11mm range. Six might be small, but there's no reason you can't try it and see. You might like them better at that size. I just used what I had on hand and encourage you to so the same!
Yeah - they were the closest thing I could find on Amazon to what I used. The ones I actually used are from the Dollar Tree. Sorry about that. @@msgoodspeller
Absolutely, here's my tutorial for making a Wrapped Loop: ua-cam.com/video/0Q1oDu5SIME/v-deo.htmlsi=yXA7avo4p4U2ESUc And, if you have ANY questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
Thanks so much! It all depends on what I'm using it for. They are great as small Tree Ornaments which just need a regular ornament hanger. But, I've also put ear wires on them to turn them into earrings. And, you can just slide a ribbon through the hole in the top too for either an ornament or as a necklace. It's really all up to you!
Ditto on all of these wonderful comments!!!!!!!
Thanks so much, Marian!
Best video I’ve found on these, thank you.
You're very welcome! They're really so easy and fun to customize. Enjoy yourself!!
Love these!
Thank you for supporting our learning. They are super cute. Your voice is so gentle and enthusiastic too. 🙌 🇬🇧

Super cute! Both grandmas going to help our two grand daughters make these for their mom for Christmas
Oh, that tickles me to no end. I hope y'all have fun with it. Yay!!
I have a button obsession, too! I even have my grandmother’s buttons - and I’m 77 now myself!

Forgot to mention that I'm going to run a cord thru the wire loop and make it a necklace.
That's a great use for them!

Thanks, you make it look so easy, think I can make them, just the wire part I might get wrong at the ends, thanks for your tutorial 😊

Thanks! I love me some buttons, and these are just a perfect way to use them. I'm so glad you like the idea. :)
do you think to make it shiny and glittery you could use mod podge and sprinkle glitter on the buttons. do you think it would work. thanks!
