These would be great for using in my BlendJet! It has a strong motor and it can break down full ice cubes, but using something like would make sure I'm not overstressing it. And I'm the only one who really uses ice in my apartment. With how small the ice balls are, you could probably add some directly to a soda or energy drink can to help cool down the drink without using a glass.
I used to get those tiny ice cube makers.... but don't need them anymore since I got a new Whirlpool fridge last year. Its built-in icemaker can dispense regular size ice cubes as well as crushed ice that was so tiny(almost the size of Tic Tacs) :)
Hello, I'm wondering if there's a way to make ice in this tray using fruit juice, and to capture the squirted out juice as you squeeze the trays together, in the actual storage container, itself, temporarily, before freezing. It wouldn't be a big deal, for my purpose, as it will need to melt anyway, like it would be a bit messy and sticky and a lot of juice could be potentially wasted. However, I bought this as an easy way to preserve grape juice for communion at home, since it would fit in the tiny olive wood goblet designed for that purpose, and thwart the grape juice gnomes who have no respect and seem to guzzle the entire bottle while I am sleeping. I want ease of use, less mess, something easier to disguise from prying eyes. Might it squish OK inside the storage carton, to preserve the remaining juice, which could be lost otherwise. And that excess juice could be reused. Or perhaps a large bowl might serve even better for that part of the process? Any better ideas??
Thanks for the review! I've been seeing these at the thrift stores and didn't know what they were. Not the quickest and easiest to use so I'm guessing that is why they are donated.
I got this few days ago and I dry out the parts that squirt out w a paper towel before placin it in the fridge and I think it makes it easier to get the little balls out
Thanks for the review. Very helpful. I just got mine today. I am legally blind. I had a friend look at the video from the QR code. He thought I Could put all of the trays in the bin and stack them on top of each other. Then pour the water? Since there are the little holes in the bottom of each tiny ice cube mold. I would think that it might be a faster way to fill up the ice trays. But maybe that would make even more of a mess. I’m just thinking out loud but I’m not sure. What do you think?
While really unwieldy, they look adorable. Coincidentally, I have been looking for an icemaker or ice. You can't buy a small bag of ice - has to be a huge 7 or 20 LB bag. My water is not good or safe enough for tap water and I don't have an icemaker in my stupid freezer/fridge. I was going to buy ice trays again but then was thinking I need to use bottled water to fill them based on that water issue. $23 seems a lot of money for a few trays and a bin but it is a cute idea and I always appreciate your videos! I appreciate your willingness to try things and present them to us. You rock!
Sorry a little late to the party but in Grand Rapids, MI, we have what is known as the Medical Mile and the hospital there has the best ice so we call it just that "hospital ice" and everyone knows what we mean
@@2centchick We have sold our house and are dealing with inspections, etc.. And just today we put in an offer on a house in Creedmoor, NC and it was accepted! I would think we'll be moving in about a month!
Have had ice and filtered water and ice for nearly 20 yrs, but just moved and have none. I just bought a countertop that is highly recommended with extended warranty. Was excited, before I saw this review. However, after this is a TON of work for not much ice and a mess. Gonna pass. Plus plastic trays will likely crack over time.

You are sooooooooo lucky! I miss my icemaker!
Don't you think the crushed ice melts too fast?

My sister likes to go to Burger Street for a Large Sweet tea with the good crunchy ice. 😆 Similar to Sonic ice.
I’m so hooked I would watch Cathy make ice. And did.
😄 thank you for doing so.
Looks good for mixing drinks!

Daiso sells mini ice cube trays. I just bought one. I think the Japanese one looks simpler to use
@@AlphineWolf Thanks! I will look for it. 🙂
You can also boil tap water and let it cool off and using it for cubes
Thanks for the tip!@@AlphineWolf
Loved the "freezer cam" shot
🙂thanks
I need this for the Super Bowl!!!! This is perfect!
Ice marbles. (I always watch your videos to the very, very end and almost jumped out of my seat at 7:50)
What made you jump? Or did I just fall for it? LOL
@@julie4evert490 I think we both fall for it 😂
@@julie4evert490 The volume jumps up big at the time.... at least on my computer.
Sorry about that! 😂
I went back to 7:45 and now I noticed it. That's a jump scare 😂
How do you wash everything before using? Is everything dishwasher safe.
Very, very, helpful. Tyvm ❤️
Yeah i liked the splash of water effect.I like the ide of the little ice balls But i am on the fence on it
I thought you would like it. 🙂
Nice decorating on the shelves!
Thank you! 🙂
Great review! Thank you! Mine came in today!
Nice ice!
What do you mean by "good ice"?
I love mine, better than the ice from my fridge, because I can add fruit or lemon pieces and my water or ice tea taste better
Pellet ice, nugget ice, sonic ice or the good ice? I have never heard of any of these 😅
What is it?
Oh this is so cool!! I didn't even realize this existed. Totally would love this in the summer. Thanks for sharing. 😀
You’re welcome! 🙂

Yes! I have heard it called that too. 🙂
For good or for bad: "Ice, ice baby. Ice, ice baby."
😄
I am getting these my daughter wants good ice for her Stanley lol
Only the good ice will do. 🙂
Those ice balls are adorable!
Thanks for the review!
You’re welcome! 🙂
Have you moved yet?
@@2centchick We have sold our house and are dealing with inspections, etc.. And just today we put in an offer on a house in Creedmoor, NC and it was accepted! I would think we'll be moving in about a month!
Sonic, Braums, and Chicken Express have the “good ice”. Who else I wonder?
The mini silcone ones seem difficult to get the ice out compared to plastic ones
I agree, the silicones ones are a pain.
Thanks for reviewing this! I was seriously considering it, but I think I'll pass. Too much mess and trouble.
You’re welcome!
Love the replay!
😀
Thanks! :)
You’re welcome! 🙂
If you let it seat for a min it would be easier or run water quickly
Thanks

So cute! 😊
Are they dishwasher safe?
Little balls 🔥💀
You wear that scarf well.
Thanks! 🙂 Gotta stay warm.
I need ice ball trays with circum of 20 mm
I’m sure Amazon would have that size.
Any possibility
Not worth the effort imo I make the big square ice cubes then fill a Tupperware I keep in the freezer. I use ice a lot. Great review thanks
"...depending on your ice needs" That''s a phrase, I thought I''d never hear
😂🤣
I would be annoyed if I made ice and someone else used it… I think these are just not worth the extra effort, as little as that might be… lol
Dónde se consigue el producto cuánto cuesta
No thermal mass in small chunks, bigger better
I agree... they probably melt away rather quickly.
Hello
Diet Coke can at 11 o'clock.
😄
Good review that for the honesty
I don't usually use ice,so I'm mostly indifferent🧊🧊🧊
I call it nugget ice or the good ice. 🧊 They have it at our chick-fil-a’s, a place called cook out and sonic of course!
Thanks for the review! 😊
I think Zaxby’s might too. But for some reason I like Sonic’s the best. 🤷♀️
