As someone in healthcare, I want to thank you both for sharing your story. So many people go through things like this feeling alone and ashamed and you publicly sharing your experience really helps decrease the stigma and lets people know they're not alone. You have a lot of power and you're using it in a really amazing way. Kudos!
Congratulations pat and sam.100
While we've got you here as a health care worker. What's happening with all these heartattcks that's happening and all those vaccinated doctors that has died...80 I believe
@@Keranofkri go find someone else to harass, chump
@@Keranofkri do you have a source for any of that?
Isn't the miscarriage rate like 30% ?? I just heard that somewhere without any proof, but dayum that sounds horribly high and upsetting.
Pat being this transparent about what had to had been one of the worst moments in his life is why we love him
Thanks Mr McAffee for this. America needs to hear it.
That's why we tune to this show every day. These are not just talking heads looking for views, these are real people and they let us see that ♥️
💯
Patty McAfee
Losing a pregnancy is always incredibly difficult. My wife and I dealt with 3 miscarriages before we were able to have our daughter. It's all worth it man. The first time you hold that baby, look in their eyes, man, the feeling is indescribable. Congratulations to you both, and you'll crush being a father, man.
Mad props to Sam for putting this out there. Showing the scars on a national talk show can make it a lot easier for other women to talk about their experiences and talking about the experience makes it easier to process and make it through. She could have easily just buried it and kept the personal life personal but she took a very courageous route that is helping normalize these conversations for everyone
Congratulations Pat. You’ll both be good parents
Well we know half of that is a true statement
Congratulations been watching since you came to Baylor for Gameday! You’re going to be an AWESOME dad!🎉
Congratulations to you both, my son just came home from the NICU after a 2 month long stay. My wife had an emergency C section at 31 weeks and the doctors warned me going into the surgery that I was about to lose them both. So after just starting my leave from work to be at home with my son and getting to listen to you every day again, and then get to hear you talk about all this live was a pretty cool moment, and I can appreciate what you went through. Even though it means nothing coming from some random stooge, you are one tough SOB, and the wife is as well. You’re going to make a hell of a dad, that kid is lucky to have you both as parents. So happy for you both and wish you all nothing but the best.
Happy your son is home! Hope both wife and son are healthy. 🤙🏼
Congrats to you as well! Best wishes for your family!
Best wishes for your family!!!
congrats! Nicu is not fun and with you guys the best. Buy a Snoo!
I'm so happy to hear that your baby boy is finally home after such a scary ordeal. I'm a dad too and while I've always respected women for what they go through to birth other humans, I didn't quite understand just how sensitive the entire process can be until my wife was preparing to give birth. Respect to all the good doctors and nurses out there that hold it down. Salute to all the women like your wife who go through hell to make little miracles and a big shouout to you for staying string as your wife and baby boy went through all of that. God bless you and your new family
I appreciate you sharing you and Sam’s pregnancy journey. Many people don’t talk about it period, especially guys, and I think it’s great that you’re exposing your mostly male audience to struggles that they might not be aware of. It helps everyone be more understanding, compassionate and educated. Can’t wait for baby McAfee’s arrival
Fertility issues are brutal! My wife did ivf 6 times. I gave her 1000s of shots over 5 years and she never wanted to give up. We have a perfect 10 month old girl now! Gave me a level of respect I never thought I could have of my wife. Congratulations!
Congrats to you and your wife!! Much respect for the resilience
beautiful!
Congratulations
Congrats man!
I'm probably just immature and definitely don't understand how that all works but 1000s of shots is hilarious
Pat goes from this subject to being a sports stooge and putting on a show for 3 hours straight. Pat is unbelievable at what he does and anything he sets his mind too. I can only imagine that’s exactly how it’ll work with him becoming a parent. We all know Sam is gonna kill it, what a strong young lady🫡
Great message man. Can’t lie though I skimmed your message quickly and read “Sam is gonna kill it” and was stunned… but then I reread it and realized you meant it in a positive way.
@@999glue5 I was afraid that would happen damnit lmaoo
Man, I teared up when you described what you and your wife went through with the ectopic pregnancies. My wife and i went through the same thing and it’s DEVASTATING. Congratulations on the pregnancy!!! It’s nice talking about a happy ending that doesn’t involve a Cleveland Quarterback on this show..!
You, sir, are a champion of the internet. I love the fact that you can hold two completely incompatible things in your mind at once, and hope that you and your wife are in a good place now.
I don’t comment on things much, but this paragraph was a masterpiece. Wish y’all the best!
This is my wife and I's exact story. Your wife is amazing and so are you for constantly being there in support. This hits home for many, my wife cried in the car listening to this today on our way to our IVF appointment. Cannot wait to hear about the birth of your beautiful baby.
Pat McAfee, you are going to be a legendary dad. You spent 10 minutes telling one of the most heartbreaking stories I think I've ever heard, and not once was it about anyone but your wife. For someone who lost two babies and nearly lost his wife twice to make a story like that completely selfless is incredible. That child is going to be in fantastic hands.
Oh, and IT'S GREAT TO BE A TENNESEE VOL!
Nailed it! Had me tearing up. I don’t think Pat has realized yet how incredible of a father he will be! As a new father myself, super excited for him and Sam!
@@NickBoumerhi congrats to you I have three 1 girl and Two boys get ready for challenges but rewards to those challenges you could never fathom before being a dad best job in the world
Pat after my wife and I going through an ectopic and a miscarriage this year I know now that children are even more of a blessing that is almost taken for granted. I’m so happy for you brother Congratulations. God Bless you and your family.
Best of luck to you and your wife I hope you become parents
LFGGGG. CONGRATULATIONS PAT!!! Praying for the healthiest and most blessed pregnancy ever ❤❤❤
This guy gets my energy
Going into being a dad “scared to death “ is what will make you a good father and everything you just went through has only brought you and Sam closer. All our prayers
My wife and I have a similar story, still trying very hard to have a child. It’s some of the worst pain to go through. Congrats Sam and Pat I can’t wait to see you guys have a baby! I am going to show this to my wife tonight to show her she’s not alone in the struggle and there is hope!
You got this, Trevor's wife!
Good luck, you guys!
Keep it going my guy. Me and my wife have had two. Now a beautiful boy and an amazing daughter later. It’s all worth it. Don’t give up.
Congratulations!!! Sam is a champion!!! Our story isn't as hard as yours has been. 3 years of trying and never being able to get pregnant, we now have 2 kids through IVF with our 3rd arriving in January. You guys are going to be amazing parents!!!
I'm an IVF Baby let's go
Glad my wife and I aren’t alone! Been trying for 2+ years and no luck. We are starting IVF in January
@Matt Jaramillo good luck! There is a big community! Every journey is different, but I wish nothing but the best to you and your family!
Royal Jelly for both parents and all kids for life! 4th popping out right on time like pilsbury!!!!
@@byuiguy68 appreciate ya man. Hopefully I’ll come back to this comment in a few months with good news lol
Saw Sam's post in the morning and was so excited to watch Pat announce it on the show. Couldn't be happier for you guys. Genuinely watched the entire segment with a big smile on my face.
The fact that you're worried about whether or not you'll be a good dad is a sign that you'll be a good dad. Congratulations. Your wife sounds like an incredible woman. I hope things continue to go well this time around. Much love to you and your family, Pat.
Pat, we’re going through the same thing. We’re at 21 weeks now. After a visit with the dr just today, turns out my wife might need emergency surgery because after a battle with placenta previa, her cervix is now too thin. Keeping you guys in our prayers. The way you speak of Sam I know she is a powerful woman! Cheers!
How the hell did he do this speech without crying?? Man, it was emotional. Congrats Pat and Sam!!!!
Congratulations Pat! As a father of 3 at 30. I never wanted to be a dad. I have a 5 year old son and just had twins! 1 boy 1 girl. I couldn’t imagine anything else! My wife of 12 years is my best friend. Im happy and proud of you dude 🤙😎
Well dayum, congrats on getting married at 18 and making it! If I would’ve had a chance to get married at i high school sweetheart I would’ve. Dated thru middle and high school
It means SO MUCH for a man on such a HUGE PLATFORM to talk about such a vulnerable topic with so much LOVE.
Nothing but GOOD Vibes, WISHES n PRAYERS FOR YOUNG P.Mac!!!
💯✊🏽💪🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
My wife and I went through the IVF process in 2021 and welcomed our baby girl in Dec 2021 - It was a journey. Congrats to you and your wife. Proud of both of you!
How much was the ivf procedure?
Wife had ectopic then a miscarriage. We decided on ivf after failed infertility treatments, failed on the first ivf transfer did a trial then the 2nd transfer worked, we have a 15 month old now and will be trying for a 2nd through ivf in December. Worst experiences in our lives to the best with our son being born.
Pat you are awesome!!!!!!!! I hope you have a wonderful pregnancy and healthy child!!!!!! Y’all deserve the best!!!!!! Power to your wife for being willing to put up with 2 of you 😂
This is beautiful that you have shared this, I am a EMS provider and it is extremely hard to see couples and families go through things like this, and it is heart breaking when it doesn’t end so well. Proud of you guys for not giving up!
Man, Congrats for you guys! My girlfriend had my child at 23 weeks and 4 day and was in the NICU for 4 and a half months, these experiences are completely scary man, women have strength that I can’t even imagine myself having. I hope for a safe delivery for badass Sam and your going to be a fantastic father man!
Thank you for talking about this. I think it's important to destigmatize this kind of loss since so many people feel like they've failed as a mother or parent due to this illusion that a successful pregnancy is somehow a test of character. Congratulations to you both! Sam truly is a badass, I have no doubt that she'll be an amazing mother.
congrats Pat! This kid is going to grow up with a legend of a dad 💯
Inspiring due to the fact that we’d never expect situations like this. I’m sure others will agree but I look at pat and all the things he’s doing and it appears to be a perfect life. Behind closed doors there’s so much more going on and he still always shows up with a great attitude, great energy just to make our days better
Congratulations! My wife and I went through a very similar situation. Hearing the heartbeat is the best sound I’ve ever heard. God bless both of you.
My wife and I went through this same scenario, thank you, sincerely, Pat for drawing attention to the severity and prevalence of ectopics. If it wasn’t for a team of bad ass doctors and surgeons my wife wouldn’t be here today. Can’t wait to hear the dad stories come next fall!
On my close friend’s wife went through a similar experience that Sam has endured. When my friend announced to me that she was pregnant I was happy for them then he told me the whole story about how it took them 3 years to finally have a kid as she had a couple of miscarriages before and they just introduced their second kid a couple of months ago. Both his wife and Sam are troopers and gives me greater respect for what women go through when it comes to having a kid.
Been there brother, still in it, sending love. Far harder than many realize. Thanks for the story it helps me and will help all the others going through the same. 🙏❤️
First time caller, long time listener. This is my favorite segment Pat and the Boys have ever done. Proud of Pat for opening up and the Boys for always having his back. Huge praise to Sam for battling nonstop. Good luck to the McAfee fam on this big adventure. Don’t ever change this show!!
What a warrior Sam is!!! All my prayers to both of you.
Thank-you and Sam for sharing your Story. I'm always grateful for Husbands and Wives who have the courage to open up about the Struggles and how they got through it all.
Cheers to you Pat for being so transparent and sharing your story. I’m so happy for your family to be brother❤️
This made me cry, as it hit close to home for me and my wife as well… the biggest Congratulations to Pat & Sam… and best of luck w/ everything!!!❤🎉❤🎉
Congrats Pat, enjoy every second with your kid. There really is no bond or experience that compares
Ayy that’s awesome you talked about all this. It’s extremely personal and it’s something a lot of people don’t feel comfortable talking about. Definitely a conversation that people need to be aware of.
I'm so glad you both have had a great support through this process and you guys are so strong for sharing the experiences yall have faced
Dude, thanks for sharing this. What a journey. Makes me realize how awesome your wife is and the journey you are going through behind the scenes. My wife and I lost a child as well, but have a healthy baby boy now. You’ll make amazing dad. Keep Sam and you little one top priority, and I’ll be praying the delivery goes ultra smooth!
So awesome. Pat, you’ve done everything at a super high level in your life. You’re about to add fatherhood. So proud of you.
Me and my wife recently had our journey through infertility and IVF and were so lucky to now have our little girl with us now. Sending all of the love and positive vibes to Pat and his wife. I can't imagine what they've been through. Prayers up for you both on having a healthy and beautiful baby.
Thank you so much for sharing! We hurt with you on the pain that has been and are so happy for the kid to come! Congratulations! 🎉
Best day ever... so happy for you and yours that has been an incredible journey you shared with us your fans. Made my day watching this
Congratulations Pat and Wife!! I have so much respect for her as well with helping Animals with Fur The Brand. Gonna be great parents since you’re already nice great people. 👏
So happy for them! They’ve been so honest and open! Congrats to them!
Like many this hit really close to home. My wife had 4 miscarriages in a row. The last one she hemorrhaged and nearly bled out. I nearly lost her. It took several years for her to recover emotionally, mentally, and physically. The emotional recovery was the most difficult. She came out the other side. And now we have two boys, one adopted and one biological. She is an amazing mother and makes up for my shortcomings as a father. Congratulations, Pat, and to all of those mothers and couples struggling out there.
Thanks for sharing Pat! My wife and I were told because of me that we would never be able to have kids on our own naturally. Flash forward to today, we went through our first round of IVF (extraction and implantation) and our now 4 weeks pregnant with our little man. Infertility and the struggles of getting pregnant are not talked about enough, especially the stress and struggle that it can put on a marriage. Congrats on the little one coming your way!
What an absolutely brutal story. God bless you both for standing strong.
Having gone through a super similar situation you guys sharing this whole process is awesome. It happens a lot more than anyone realized because no one talks about it. One of the most heartbreaking tragic things that can happen to you. Our miracle baby will be 2 on thanksgiving! Congratulations to you both and wishing nothing but happiness and health for the 3 of y’all
I pray everything goes perfect for you both! Im so sorry to hear of your losses and all you both have been thru! We all love you pat!!!! God bless you all! You will be one hell of a dad!
Congratulations 🎉 to the McAfees!!!
Y’all will be great parents, may God keep you both during this wait for the beautiful blessing to come healthy and happy.
I'm watching this with my 6 month old daughter sleeping on my chest, we went through IVF for 8 years before it finally worked. It's an incredible journey, enjoy every second. The first time you hold your kid, every second of the struggle you and your wife went through will be worth it. Cheers Sam and Pat!
In the year 2021, my wife and I lost two babies. We almost gave up, and just last week, we welcomed our little boy into the world. Pat, congratulations to you and I respect you talking about it publicly.
Big congratulations Pat! Being a father is absolutely amazing with so many different joys and experiences!
Congrats Pat and Sam. It sure is scary when things like that happen. My wife had a placenta abruption when she was 7.5 months pregnant. Luckily we lived very close to the hospital and there was a doctor that was quick to perform thr emergency C- section. Daughter did struggle a bit at the beginning, spent time in the NICU, but after hearing that i couldve lost not only my daughter, but wife as well, really hits different, but 3 years later and both are doing great. You will both be wonderful parents, i feel things like this just make you stronger and love harder.
Congratulations Pat and Sam, and thank you for having the courage to speak about the challenges you went through to reach this point.
Pat, thank you for sharing your story to and being vulnerable to us. Seems like a portion of your audience can relate in one way or another and that’s is very comforting. And also… your going to make a GREAT father! And to your wife Sam, she is a WARRIOR!! ❤
Congratulations McAfee family!! Wishing and praying for all the best to come for you all!! ❤️
Damn, I was blubbing like a baby during this segment. Congrats to you both. I'm sure you will both be excellent parents. Look at the support group you have around you.
Congratulations! Your wife is so ready to be the mom she dreams of. She'llbe amazing. You'll be an awesome dad too. Your personality will just make for fun and awesome moments for your growing family.
Thank you both for sharing. God bless all 3 of you. Congratulations.
Could not be more spot on with how common it is and yet how little it's talked about. My wife and I went through 2 miscarriage's before our son was born and another before our daughter. My wife experienced those exact same feeling of inadequatcy and shame. It's so incredibly difficult on them. I'm a radio host and shared our story on air a couple of years ago and the support I received from listeners was amazing. Huge congrats to you and Sam for sticking it out and sharing your story. You'll be a great dad Pat.
Hey, let’s go dude!!!!!!! So happy for you and Samantha!
Congrats Pat. I'm so happy for you and your wife. Hope you two have a healthy born baby
Congrats Pat!!! It’s been a blessing watching you grow, I’m glad you shared this with us, thank you! Many blessings to you and your family.
Congratulations Pat! You’re going to be a great father! Im so happy for you! I can’t wait to see your kid win the punt, pass, kick competition! 😂❤
Proud of you Pat. It takes a lot from both you and Sam to be this transparent about everything, but you’re helping women across the world. You’re both truly heros and are going to be amazing parents
Very glad you discussed this topic head on. Wife and I went through and ectopic, a miscarriage and a failed IVF attempt. On October 17th we welcomed a son into our lives and it has changed everything in the best way possible!
This is amazing!! So happy for Pat, and Sam!! Pat, is not only a great player, but great husband as well!! Tell Sam, WE'RE ALL STOKED!! SHES A DAAAAAWG for going through all of that!! What a woman, and what a mother, she will become!
Congratulations Pat. God bless both you and Sam
Geez, such an inspiring story of perseverance, toughness, and dedication. So happy you guys were able to reach this point! You and your wife are both Dawgs!! 👏👏
My heart goes out to you both ❤ The absolute heartbreak of losing a baby can be an incredibly difficult and painful thing to share, so I thank and applaud you for talking about it. You’re right, you don’t realize just how many others go through the hell of pregnancy loss until you are one of them. It can be so helpful and supportive to share your pain so that others can know that they are not alone in their grief. I will absolutely be praying that Sam’s and your baby arrives into your arms healthy and safe. There is something so beautiful and intense about that moment of holding your healthy baby after a loss. My rainbow is 7 months old now and I will never forget that moment of finally holding her. I can’t wait for you and your wife to experience that same joy when your little one arrives. Best of wishes to you and Sam ❤️
As someone who desperately wants to be a mom and suffered a miscarriage with my husband a few months ago, thank you for bringing up such a sensitive topic, and congrats to you and Sam!
My wife and I had 2. Now we have two beautiful children. Don’t give up. Ts and ps
@@cesarmounts3941 thank you. We are going to start trying again in the next couple months. It was heartbreaking and has taken us some time to recover from but we do want children and we know dwelling on a loss won't help. I'm happy to hear you and your wife have had two beautiful babies!
Congratulations! This story hit home. My wife and I struggled. Many failed natural attempts. She had surgery. I had surgery. We still had to do IVF. 4 failed IVFs. My wife put her body and mind through hell. I felt so numb - the time, money, and emotional and physical pain. My wife soldiered on. We found another provider and they helped make IVF work. Then my wife develops pregnancy induced ITP - her platelets are being destroyed. The level went to 7. Normal is 100. She could easily bleed out. We have to work with oncology to make ilt through the pregnancy with infusions weekly to keep the platelets at a somewhat manageable level. She has the baby, all healthy. Shes so insanse that she puts herself through it again for another baby. Then we have a third, miraculously it was natural conception. But each time she has the ITP and infusions. It was brutal. Giving her those injections during the IVF was awful. Your wife is so strong and it was great to see you recognize her for that.
Damn man. My wife and I agreed after 1 round of ivf and that was we could afford and all she could take. Luckily for us we got some good embryos and had 2 boys 3 years apart from it. Could not imagine going through 4.
@@chriso6042 congratulations, it's a journey for sure. But Pat is right - fertility issues are not talked about enough. Glad he used his platform to shed some light.
This is such a selfless and humbling witnessing of your most inner feelings that it makes me (and my wife) appreciate you even more....there is not a more HONEST and PEOPLE person on any media that I know....thank you so much for your open heart.....
Powerful message. Thank you for sharing. Praying for you both.
This made me tear up. And thank god that the doctors in your state aren’t (yet) afraid to be criminally prosecuted for performing these surgeries. I hope this one goes well and being a dad is everything you hope it will be.
Big ups to y’all! Being a dad is the best experience!
Thanks for sharing. Proud of her and you as well for making navigating those challenges. Wishing y'all nothing but the best. Your transparency may help many people who had no idea about the information you shared.
My fiancé and I just went through this ourselves and it’s much more common than most people would think. This is a real, human moment and it’s a HUGE part of what makes this show so special. Not just suits staring at teleprompters with manufactured personalities. Thank you Pat and the boys
Wow. Thanks for sharing this Pat. Praying for your family!
This is awesome how u expressed the feelings you and your wife endured and the positive outcome congratulations
My son was born 2/22/22 and on 2/24/22 we find out he will have to have a heart cath done to open up on of his valves that is deformed. This was just to push off his surgery as far as possible but on may 15, we ended up having to go to the hospital for our 3 month old to have open heart surgery. It’s now November and our son looks as healthy and acts just as healthy as any baby his age usually does. You can’t even tell he had surgery except for the 7-8 inch scar going down his chest. My wife had post partum depression through all of this which is as real as it gets. We all see the happy couples going through an entire pregnancy together but you never know what’s going on behind the curtain. Children are a blessing!
Been through similar issues with our attempts to start a family. Proud of you and your wife. Lean into your village. You won’t know anything and that’s okay. Trust you. Trust your village. Love to you guys
Congrats Pat and Sam! Being a dad of 2 amazing little kids is the greatest blessing and title in my life. It's hard but totally worth it, I'll keep you in my prayers Pat and Sam. Thank you for sharing this inspirational story with others
Congrats to both of y’all your story is great to hear never fear to share 🖤
Congrats to both of you!
Pat Mcafee I’ve been listening to you for years now thank you so much for opening up and talking about trials and tribulations that you your wife have and are going through. My wife is also pregnant, so we have been scared and nervous if our child will be healthy. We were so touched with what you shared about Sam that it truly gave us courage to know we can do this to. I can proudly say today we are through the first trimester and our child is healthy and over the first hurdle. You are not alone in this experience so let’s Hammer Dahnnnnn and do this!!!!!!
Thank you for legitmising the pain people in your position are going through. I have watched my Daughter go through the same thing and be too scared to talk about it. May your god bless you both.
So happy for you and Sam! Me and my wife have been going through our own complications. We are hoping to get this kind of good news in the near future! Way to go pal!
Thank you for talking about this topic with this audience.
Thank you for sharing yours and your wife's story. Best wishes to you both. ❤️

I'm sorry to hear about your family's struggles. I'm glad to hear about the new good news! I'll be praying for you and yours.
This is why I love this show. You and the boys don’t hold anything back. thank you for sharing your great news and sharing the struggle that the you two went through on your journey to becoming parents. Congrats and thank you for sharing to help others that might be going through the same thing.
