Another great vid as always Kyle. And thanks for the shoutout. You’re the best!
Yes Sir! Love the shirts!
I am interested in hearing about the longevity. They look like they will perform similarily to the TKC80 / 804, so if they can exceed their longevity, they could be a winner. - Frank
We shall see!!!
@@manybikes We better, this is what we count on you for, the real info on tires! - Frank
I don't know, you love your Motoz tires. I think I know how they'll rank but I hope I'm wrong
I love Motoz because they work and they get great mileage. I’ll give them a fair test, you can bet on that! I do think they will perform similar to the Shinko E804/E805 … we shall see!
Hey Kyle. They look interesting. Do you sell these and other tire brands? Or are you affiliated with a shop? I’m planning on changing tires soon on my V Strom so I might as well give you the business. Thanks
Thank you for watching and thank you for your support. I really appreciate it. I sell Motoz tires direct and hope to bring these and Mitas on too at some point. If not Motoz... I have an Affiliate Link with Rocky Mountain and Amazon.
Price vs performance. If they work well but wear fast that’s ok if they’re cheap. If they work well and wear slow then they can be a bit more expensive. If they don’t work well then I wouldn’t even consider them. Rubber is not something to cheap out on. Very keen to know where they are made, to be clear that is my first consideration. Looking forward to your review.
Wise comments! They are made in Thailand. Cheap tires that wear quickly end up more expensive than seemingly expensive tires that last a long time. Hello Motoz ;)
Pirelli Rally Scorpion look-alike?
Hummm…. Didn’t think of that one, but I see it now!
Definitely, Scropion Rally STR
Hi Kyle,
Genuinely interested to see what you make of the Vee tyres in use.
I had VeeRubber Enduro tyres as OE on a new GasGas Pampera many years ago and they were really very good: so good that I replaced them with more of the same when they wore out. The now defunct British magazine TBM did a blind test involving all the premium tyre makes, and the VeeRubbers won it, both in terms of rider rating and lap-time recorded. They were the cheapest tyres tested too.
I guess not much lateral grip... They will not perform well on muddy conditions IMO.
We shall see!
Just looks like another txc80 soo..... I'm not impressed yet, not very deep tread so milage might suffer
Yes, very Shinko E804/E805 and TKC80 like… we shall see.
Paid promotion? Nothing much more than reciting company's own advertising.
Nope, not a paid promotion. Just letting you know what the manufacturer says about them. Now it’s time for me to mount them and tell you what I really think and feel! I tell it how it is! If good… I’ll say it. If they suck… I’ll say that too! Stay tuned…
As you stated, the tread pattern is similar to the Shinko's and TKC80's. I prefer the pattern of the AX41's. They would need to perform better on & off road than the Bridgestone AX41's before I would consider them.
Good call! The AX41 tires do a fantastic job! Did you see my recent review? Do you feel the same?
Will they last as long as say the Motoz GPS or Adventure rears ?!?! Keep it coming 👍
We shall see... These are super soft so I don't foresee longevity... But the truth is in the test. Stay tuned.
They look a lot like the Shinko 804/805 except they have less space between the knobs. I’d definitely give them a go on my GS. I love the performance of the Shinko.
Great feedback. Thanks for watching!
I think they look like the TKC80 and probably will have a different compound so that being said it will last longer or not or grip better or not. The pricing is definitely attractive. My guess it will feel a lot like the TKC80 but cheaper.
Ha! Ha! We shall see!!!
Motoz Rallz rear and Pirelli Scorpion Rally (not STR) front all day everyday for me and the Mighty 990.
YES! That is a fantastic set-up!!! That Rally front is so hard to find!!!!
Maybe a tire for me. I have GSA 1250 and 90% commute, but occasionally off road hard. With newly obtained Rabaconda street tire changer, I'm more open to change from street to offroad and vice versa, but not encouraged with stiffer tires such as Motoz, just too stiff to multi swap. Maybe this is an easy on and off tire to consider for my preferred setups.
Once you use the Rabaconda a few times (and use the drop center tools) amzn.to/47cRzYV the changes, even with Motoz, become quick and easy. This tire I’ll mount with my @rabaconda soon. Stay tuned!!!
Can you ride these on a 22 GSA? The rear on the BMW is 1 size bigger.
Yes, you can… but it’s not recommended. Makes the profile flatter therefore making the bike turn in slower.
Well first impression (pausing video at :54 to type this) is it looks to be a standard big block style tire with a shallow block design.
Yes it is.. Very Very similar to the Shinko E804/805
Im looking for new tires and really like the look and the fact they're lite. Definitely would try.
Nice, we will see!
I think you reading their advertising detracts from your authenticity as a source to go to and believe when shopping for tires.
It’s a first look and it’s all I have to go off at the moment. It’s “their facts”… now time for me to mount and test! I’ll let you know exactly how they perform! I’d they are good, if they stack up, what they feel like and… if they suck anywhere… stay tuned! My truth about them is forthcoming.
Interesting: The smaller blocks in the center seem missaligned. The front has the blocks closer to eachother... I would say more onroad focus: 70/30 - 60/40. Look fwd to your test!
Yes, we will see!
Great review, Kyle. Is there a color smoke version of these for sideshowing? ;-)
Ha! Ha! Ha! Mike, good to see you! Those shinko smoke bombs…. Too funny!
Wait are you back in socal? I didn't realized you moved back from Arizona.
I like the look of this thing. the front blocks are kinda large but I think they'll work really well on road so that's great. I don't think I'm super interested in the front - I can't see it prying me away from the Motoz DV front that I love. But I think I'd try a rear. My current fave rear is the Heidenau k60 Ranger but it didn't live that long. If this feels similar but lives longer, I'm all in.
Yes Sir! Been back in so cal for a year and a half now. I’ll get these mounted next week and will begin the testing. Stay tuned!
Looks like the knobs are not very tall so with a little wear I would be afraid you would not have much traction, and I wonder side grip for corning off road. It will be interesting to see your test results
Yes, we shall see. They feel soft, so on road performance should be good, but we’ll see about wear. The really large blocks with little to no lateral blocks for traction might be tough for side hilling. We will see!
`the TKC80 was my favorite front tire so after these have been out long enough to get a few longer term reviews i might try em , till then im on Motoz Dual Venture fronts and adv rear
Right on! We will see!
It looks like having all the tread in horizontal rows doesn't bode well for side to side traction would like to see some offset lugs.
Also it looks noisy with all the leading edges hitting the pavement at the same time. Would prefer a slight Vee in the pattern for the knobs so you can't look down the gaps between the rows of knobs.
Yes, I tend to think the same. We shall see!
I’m was interested when you said they were smooth and quiet on the road. I look for to your review. Ride safe and have fun. 🇺🇸
We shall see!
Yep. Look just like the shinko 805 i had on my 890. Kyle, i sent you tire enquiry on Instagram. For some reason i cant message on UA-cam. Thanks
Yes, it sure does. Were you able to make contact?
Looks like a nice fat round profile. I bet nice on road but doesn't bite well on dirt for side hill or cornering. Probably TKC 80ish?
Yeah, they look that way. We shall see!!! I’ll get them mounted in a week or so. Stay tuned!
How many miles do you expect out of the vmoto hitman 55
Great question. They get mounted this weekend... we shall see!
Looking forward to your review 👍
Thanks for your support!
I am not gonna lie, if you say they are good, I will give them a shot.
Time will tell… I’ll get them mounted up in the upcoming week.
Waiting for the Guru review.
Yeehaw!!!
I look forward to seeing how these do
Me too! Stay tuned!
I did some REAL WORLD price comparison and the Shinko 804/805 Tire Kit 90/90-21 & 150/70-18 are $287.91 NOT the $110 more as you mentioned "major competitive" would be but, priced about the same. I consider SHINKO a major competitive. Special when Hitman 55 is a SHINKO copy cat. I'm gonna wait 6 months when real world data comes out... I'm interested in seeing reviews and claimed milage vs. Real world milage.
Yes Sir! They are very comparable to the Shinko! They are $100 less then Motoz and almost $120 less than the Karoo 4, other top contenders.
@@manybikes I'm looking forward to your follow up vidoes .
my 1190 adv doesn't like that 99mph speed rating :-). pirelli rally str seems to be the only dirt capable tire with 150mph speed rating. yes i know str isn't a full knobby.
Yeah, I ride my 1190 above the 99 a lot! No issues yet!
@@manybikes on those hitman tires above 100?
I have used a lot of Vee Moto Tires over the years. The original version the 401 I believe, had the best grip off-road with tons of confidence on-road. The new Hitman 55 has all those features and longer tread life. I put around 2,200 miles on them mounted to my KTM 1190R and expect they will go 2,500 - 3k on a heavier ADV bike. I would expect the lighter mid-size ADV bikes will go 4,000-5K
Great feedback!
Always a down and dirty on the tires...although with Broken leg...I may have to wait - haha!!!! - thanks for this...awesome!!!!
Bummer on your leg! Heal quickly!
The tread design looks promising, The price is appealing. Let's see how they perform. Thanks for a great introduction Kyle. Looking forward to your test.
My thoughts exactly. Looking forward to seeing how well they perform.
The tires look great, but I would definitely appreciate it if you take out for a spin on the tarmac and off road to give it a proper review. Thanks for sharing.
Yes sir! I’ll get them mounted up and tested in the next couple weeks. Stay tuned!
@@manybikes outstanding!
Hopefully they're better than VeeRubber was. Saw a lot of early cracking on their tires.
Very interesting… we shall see!
I don't know what to comment, you sent me to the comment section too soon! 😂 - Frank
Ha! Ha! Ha!
Looks very similar to the TKC and Shinko 804/805s. Though I'm not seeing the stock R1250GS size, I'd be curious to see what your overall thoughts are with regards to performance and lifespan of the tire. Thanks Kyle!
They’ve got R1200gs sizes… but not 1250’s. I’ll get them mounted soon and put to the test!
@@manybikes Aren't the 1200 and 1250s the same size? 120/70R19 and 170/60R17?
@@19interceptor72 I want to say it changed in 2012 or 2013 when the first Liquid Cooled motor was released. They were a 150-17 and 110-19 prior to that.
When's a field test scheduled I'm needing new tires for my DRZ 400 and leaning towards Motoz tractionator Rallz but if these are cheaper and just as good I'm happy to support an American tire company
Yes, an American tire company and these tires were made in Thailand according to the sidewall. I plan to get them mounted this week and put through the test in the next couple weeks.
@@manybikes damn the luck ! I fell for the old untrue American company story thinking made in the USA . Moments ago I searched " is Motoz an Australian company" and found out yes ! But..made in Thailand 😂 but good to know a Hitman 55 ADV field test is scheduled to begin in the next couple weeks . Question : based on your vast experience ,
What would you choose for a 195# DRZ 400 rider ? I live in Calaveras the next county north of Tuolumne were Yosemite is located riding old tire grinding asphalt to get to local dusty hard packed red clay backwoods roads that are slick when wet & loose loom /shale/granite forest roads no sand ..thanks in advance
@@scottsexton2590 Oh, I know your area well! I owned a house and lived in Escalon for 8 years. Love the Gold country! And when I lived there I had a 2002 DRZ400 I put 85k miles on!!! I would run the Motoz RallZ or Adv is the 120/80-18 and the Dual Ventute Front. It’ll last forever on your bike.
Looking forward to seeing how they perform on road. How do they compare (compound durometer)to say some of the MotoZ?
Yes sir! Coming soon!
My 1st impression is that the rear tire looks like it's 50% worn already.
It’s shallow for sure!
Very! It has less tread than my Motoz Tractionator Adventure with 4000 miles on it.@@manybikes
100% That is a Motoz feature for sure. Deepest tread blocks in the ADV business.
Look like they would have a lot of lateral movement - with all the blocks in line, like the Shinko.
Yes, I think so too. We shall see!
Seems these are not offered in a 17" size that will fit my DRZ400SM. What 50-50 tire can you recommend for my wheels. Tkc80 or shinko 705 is about all i see for the front. Can i use a rear ture on the front? Thank you
The TKC80 is the best I’ve found for the 17” fronts. I run it on my 390 Duke…
Thank you. I think I will get a set of 17" tkc80s. What sizes front and rear do you recommend I get for my DRZ400SM?
What’s the width of your rims?
@manybikes I don't know for sure. stock rims from 2017 drz400sm. Previous owner put brand new Russo III street tires on it. 180/55/17 rear and 120/70/17 front.
I would absolutely use these tires. I love testing out new tires to the Adventure market. Might have to give these a try on the 390 Adventure and the Tenere 700. Thanks for the heads up.
Yes Sir! Congrats on the T7, brilliant machine.
Can't wait for the content on testing results for these tires......Get Out There and RIDE......@StanForAdventure
Working on it! Planning on mounting them up next week.
You’re my tire guru. I love these videos brother.
Awe, thanks Brian… that means a lot. Let’s ride sometime. That date is like years in the making now ;)
Looking forward to when you get your hands on the Dunlop Trailmax Raid's! Please do the test on a 1200/1250 GS when you get them! :). Love your videos, and thank you!
My pleasure! I saw the raids in person last week… well, two weeks now… great looking set of tires. Super similar to the AX41 tread pattern and depth. I’m curious about the compound!
Can’t wait for Linglong to make some 50/50 adv tires!
Who’s that?!
They look like maybe they'd lack some directional stability, but hopefully (& probably!) I'm wrong!
Time will tell!
sexy looking tire for sure, can't wait to see the test result, looks like awesome rubber for my wife's GS, cheers V!
They do look good! We shall see!
They look similar to the Shinko 804/805 IMO with slight differences.
That is exactly what I think too...
I tested the VRM 401 and found it to be like you say, analog to the TKC-80 and Shinko 805. Given the weight and sidewalls I’d say this more for light off roading but not Baja or Mojave. Great value.
Yeah, we will see. It is light abs flexible. I’m curious about that big fat blocks and the bite… as well as the longevity.
Interesting, big blocks on the front.
Sand will be the X factor to these I’ll presume.
Love ya work!
Yes, we shall see!
Great video as always. I hate it when these companies list percentages. Percent compared to what? Also a little skeptical about them being lightweight and extremely flexible. Leads me to believe that these won't last very long. The tread is also interesting where they skip a block for texturing but the texture doesn't go very far. Maybe get 100mi before it gone and all uniform especially for how soft and flexible they seem.
I totally agree with all of your comments and thoughts. We shall see!
I would and i will ride them when i will be able to get them.
Lateral traction seems the only possible problem. The longevity could be another if they are sticky...
Can't wait for your tests!!!🍻💪🍻
We shall see! Thanks for watching!
Very interested on how they do on a large adventure bike being lightweight with a flexible sidewall and they look like the Shinko 804/805, curious if they perform and a last longer
Time will tell!!!
Definitely looks like traditional big-block. Really curious how it does on testing, particularly on-road performance and if they do OK in wet/cold.
Thanks for watching, we shall see!
Would love to see an update after your first weekend on them. Especially off camber side grip performance.
Will do! I hope to mount them up next week… stay tuned!
These tires look awesome. Really like the thread pattern. Looking forward to your test ride report video!
Thanks! I think so too… Stay tuned!
Look forward to your test. Appear like several other tires.
Yes, we shall see!!!
Interesting, love to see how they stack up. Thank you for taking the time to test them for us.
Yes sir! Stay tuned!
My idea; Why the little ribbels on some of the knobs? These will wear off after 400km? Looks a bit like the Michelin Anakee but without the swirl on the knob rows. The space in between the VeeMoto is very straight. As I remember that gave no good results in certain offroad terrain because the dirt (mud/sand?) easily slips away sideways = less grip. Soft sidewalls= good for on road sense and trail I can imagine, but not so good for anti puncture on adventure/enduro/dual sport rocky terrain. Looking forward to your review. THANKS Kyle! Love your way of commenting & video!
Thanks for your support and kind words. This tire will be great for some… and NOT good for others. I’m curious how it will play out in the tests. Specifically side by side with the Shinko E804/E805
Great information Kyle! Savings of a $100 would be great. Waiting to hear your review - concerns for front wobble, noise, wear, and availability for the GS. Need more input - thanks Kyle.
Getting there! Need to mount them and get them tested. $100 is meaningless if they suck or melt off the bike… we will see!
@manybikes Will be a great test video. Many will benefit from your efforts. Ride safe!
Looks like a shinko 804/805
Yup,..
Kyle is one of the best tyre reviewer
Thank you for your support!
like a shinko 804
Yup!
