    That hill at 1:53 would have been a good test! Good review...I was surprised you switched from the Anakee Wilds, but it's cool to see there are other options that will work too. Thanks for the info.

      Yeah, Honda Hill! I didn't have a choice; I couldn't get the Anakee Wilds before I left for Colorado. Thanks for checking it out.

      Yeah, the K60 Rangers seem to be a solid option. Thanks for checking it out.

    How are they holding up? Thinking of picking up a f650gs as my first bike and with tkc80s being oos pickings are slim for a 19 inch front. Also have you ever ridden your GSA out to 8 ball out there by bullion?

    • @AdventureGlide
      @AdventureGlide  9 місяців тому +1

      They hold up pretty good for an aggressive tire. I got about 4000 miles on a rear and 8000 on the front. You could probably get a little more out the rear if you were just riding local and not taking any long trips.
      As far as 8 Ball I have done a bunch of riding out there. But it seems like the last couple of years the homesteaders have really taken ownership of that area. I would be cautious going out there. there are hundreds of loose dogs and I mean 100's with a capital H. So I pretty much avoided that area the last few years I lived there.

      @AdventureGlide so I'd get about a year out of the rear and 2 from the front with the amount of riding I plan to do maybe a little less. And yah the squatters and druggies have really moved out there, on my way back at 1 am from going catfishing there a year or so back , there was a whole bunch of them throwing a party in one of those rotted out single wides and the road goes right past it, had my hand on my firearm the whole time I went past lol

      @Catboy-hr2qp yeah they would probably get even better mileage on a lighter bike. And I’m confident I could push the rears out to five but each time I hit about 4k I wanted to take a long trip so I replaced them. If you go check out Kyle Bradshaw’s channel. Manybikes he does real good break downs on the tires. My all time Favorite tire is the Anakee Wild I get about half the mileage from them. But I just love the way they ride. I like the way they ack when you light the rear up on the dirt also. The K60’s do fine when there are spinning but the do tend to be a little less predictable. But the K60’s also provide more forward traction and are harder to break loose.

    Nice small screen, did you cut it down or is it after market?

    • @AdventureGlide
      @AdventureGlide  Рік тому +2

      It's a Puig windscreen. My original has a big crack by one of the mounting bolts from when it got ripped off in a windstorm down by Vegas. I plan on getting another average-size one come wintertime. I had just figured this would provide more airflow during the hot months. And it does for sure.

      Maybe not from RevZilla. But I would think it does from Puig themselves. I think it's a Spanish company.

      Yeah, I don't know. Looking on their website, I'm not seeing any distributors there. The website is also Puigusa.com, so I'm likely wrong on the country of origin. Lol.

    • @AdventureGlide
      @AdventureGlide  2 роки тому +1

      @Hannes Mostert, I didn't change it because I expected the tires to be relatively stiffer than the Anakee Wild since they are such stiff tires. You don't notice it.

    Checking in, any updates on the Ranger a month later?

    • @AdventureGlide
      @AdventureGlide  Рік тому +1

      So I got about 4000 miles out of rear. I replaced the rear and I'm running another I could have gotten another 800 to 1000 out of the back but had a trip panned to The Sierra Nevadas.

    • @AdventureGlide
      @AdventureGlide  Рік тому +1

      I don't think I will have any issue getting 8k out of the front. It's been a good tire for sure.

    • @bschwebel

      Thanks! Sorry if you addressed it already, but how do they do on freeway rain grooves? Do they track straight or do they slip around any?

    • @AdventureGlide
      @AdventureGlide  Рік тому +2

      They track really straight, but at around 25 to 30, they have a pronounced vibration. It seems to be milder now that I have the front tire worn some.

    • @AdventureGlide
      @AdventureGlide  Рік тому +2

      I'm assuming they don't wander bad because the front tire has a little less traction than the a Anakee Wild. The rear tire I would say has a little more traction than the Anakee Wild.

      Is there somewhere online to purchase them? There is a store in Arizona that has a website, but it seems a little sketchy. They are not easy to come by in Northern Nevada.

      Yeah maybe someday I will try out the motoz’s. But they seem hard to come by. I live in a rural area of Nevada. Kyle does some thorough reviews on ADV tires. Thanks for checking it out.

    • @ogoshikimura5621
      @ogoshikimura5621 2 роки тому +1

      @@AdventureGlide I feel they are overpriced, Kyle is a heck of a rider and I am just on the lower end of average, no point for me to spend $700 on exotic tires that may or may not perform 5-10% better then others. And when you’re in Texas, there is just way too much pavement you need to come by before you see any dirt. I have the K60 Ranger on order and look forward to it (Revzilla, $300) I currently run the Trailmax Mission, which is a fantastic tire. I would love to get my hands on the Mitas E13 & E12 combo

    • @AdventureGlide
      @AdventureGlide  2 роки тому +2

      @@ogoshikimura5621 Wow, $700. I had no idea. Well, I won't be testing them. Lol. You will like the K60s. They do have vibration on asphalt at 25 to 30. You can feel the knobs. Other than that, they do well offroad and on the pavement. I just came back from a week in Colorado. Probably 3800 miles total. I bet the rear has another 1500 miles left, and the front can probably go again.
