Celebrating my 60th birthday without my best friend stuck in W.A and me in S.A. Sherbet fans and not being able to reminisce about our favourite teenage bands! Sherbet Skyhooks AC/DC Ted Mulry Old 55 John Paul Young. Miss the innocence of those times and listening to the radio!
Thanks for the nostalgic trip onto the past. The good old days. I went to a Sherbet concert in the late 70s. What fun and I had an enormous crush on Garth.
Wow, this is good. Brisbane Festival Hall Sherbert..........Girls went Crazy, Big fan but never heard this before, Wow! Sherbert then Solo then Company of Strangers.??? Is that 3 decades?
I love Sherbet. They never made it here in America, but there was a special on MTV about Australian bands when I was a kid and they showed a clip of them and I was instantly curious. I wish I could see it again. This was in the 80s when A LOT of Aussie bands were doing very well here. It doesn't make sense they were not properly released here or able to tour here. Was it because the industry knew Sherbet would be hugely popular? Got me thinking.
This is not one of The Sherbs better efforts, but they were a very underrated band. They had two big hits in America, "We Ride Tonight," and "No Turning Back." Their best album was "Defying Gravity" from 1982. Every song was a winner! Daryl is one of the greatest lead singers of all time.

Now, this is the Sherbet I like, R&R!
Aahh! 1975! I was 18 and I got myself a satin style jacket, just like Garth's. I thought it was the height of cool. Lol.

I was a Daryl fan but Garth was a good singer, not a bad looker. Sherbet those were the days!!!
Darryl is playing a flight Burns guitar! Wow! I use to have one!
It's actually a BURNS FLYTE. And Tony is playing a BURNS FLYTE BASS too.
Garth went on to become quite a successful record producer after the Sherbet days
Most notably for famous Australian Country music singer and guitarist Lee Kernaghan.
Love Sherbet
OMG didnt realise Daryl was a smoker back then.but he was still awesome..
They all were! It was so accepted back then..
zow! Time trip!
How come Garth didn't take the lead more often, what a great voice.
