Completely agree with making sure your kids can open their lunch containers/bags/boxes. I thought about it. But the kindergarten teachers also send a note out telling parents this. If not the teachers spend their entire lunch time opening containers and bags. Practice at hole before school.
As a teacher I know that it also helps if you practice the following with Kindergarten kids before they go to school. That they can tie their own shoes, use a handkerchief or tissues (blow their nose properly), know their address, can open a drink bottle, lunch box, their school bag easily. Also that they know to ask when they want to go to the bathroom and not sit holding on. They should also be weaned off too many naps in the afternoons before they go to school and also give them food that is manageable to east and drink at recess and lunch times and not too much so they don't feel they have to eat everything and miss out on playing with their friends. And when they come home from school in those first few weeks they need quiet time, relaxing time, a good snack and a little rest, don't schedule too many after school activities, little kids get so tired and worn out, big school is a lot to process!
I loved all of your ideas! I will definitely be picking up some elderberry syrup. I have a 2nd grader and pre-schooler. I just did all of my prep last week (homework station, declutter clothes, school clothes shop and organize, and supplies.). So fun! We start in 2 weeks
i love your videos. they have helped me so much. this video will help me mostly for this year 2022. i have 2 11th graders. i have done alot of different things over the years. to make it easier for their entrance into their grade. but even just a little bit helps. :) keep doing you and your videos.
Haha new viewer here (living that back to school life) and I am sitting here enjoying tips and you say Orange County and my ears perked. Are you in Florida? We are in Polk, but we are right in the Four Corners area, close to the Osceola line. I’ve totally use some of these tips already - like the backing bedtime back a couple weeks out. We also have uniforms and I definitely love them! Definitely going to subscribe!
I typically purchase Jansport because they have lasted the longest for us. Any of the cartoony ones never seemed to make it the entire school year before having holes in the bottom and/or broken zippers.
Thank you. This video covers everything very well so I’m not sure if I’ll make another one or if I’ll do one on me actually doing all of this stuff in real time like a Get It All Done video. 😊
I am jealous of people like you who are tech savvy and know how to do the editing and stuff on videos and pictures. My eight year old made a better video than I have ever made.😬💩

Hi! Yep, I’m a Florida girl. 😊
Yes. Those yucky 🤢 back to school germs 🦠. Better safe than sorry. I also recommend spraying down everything or wiping things down with Lysol
Yes. Lysol is a must! 😊
I love these types of videos, even though Luna isn't old enough for school yet lol!
Hey! great tips. Love the uncrustables and sandwich ideas!

Hi from Miami Florida 🌴🙋🏼♀️
Hi!! 😊
You look fantastic, certainly not like you have a 10th grade student!
Thank you so much 😊
Hi there I'm a mom of 10 when the 5 flew out then the other 5 decided to take their spots.
I am jealous of people like you who are tech savvy and know how to do the editing and stuff on videos and pictures. My eight year old made a better video than I have ever made.😬💩
It took lots of practice for me to figure it all out. 😊
@@RachPlusFive May I know what app you use to make videos? I make Latin tutorials, and if I can learn, I would like to make more polished videos…
I use Adobe Premiere Pro. It’s complicated but there are tons of tutorials on UA-cam. Most of my friends that have channels use iMovie.
@@RachPlusFive thanks! I can’t figure out iMovie. I think I will check out Adobe and ask my daughter for lessons in iMovie.😂
