This is the time of year Rachel where I start watching your Back To School tip videos because all of the back to school stuff is in the stores, and I find these videos help keep me organized and with a level head. I really appreciate you making them for us. Thank you:)
I'm glad to see that you keep extra school supplies at home. I don't know how many times I have bought everything on their lists and sent it with them to school, and then turn around and they have a homework assignment that needs crayons, markers, highlighters, etc. and I'm like "Nooooo!?!!!!!! I just sent everything to school!" I also love how you said "plan for mom." I think it's very important not only for stressful and emotional reasons, but also for productivity. A person can get all caught up in the back to school stuff for the kids, but as soon as they are out the door for the bus, or you walk through the door after dropping them of, you're standing there thinking "Okay what now?" I like to have a schedule for myself and my smaller kids planned out before the school year starts just to make the transition easier for everybody. I can always change it later if the schedule or routine doesn't quite fit. For example, planning nap time for 12pm, but for some reason now you can't get them to go to sleep before 2pm. Anywho, love the video! I will definitely check out your other one as well 🙂
Oh my gosh, I don’t miss this. Prepping for the school year and prepping the night before for the school day. I don’t do that anymore. Pandemic taught me that I have the ability to homeschool and we just never went back to in person. It’s been working for us. However I do have plenty I do have to deal with. LOLJust not this.
Thank you 😊 I loved homeschooling during the pandemic but sadly my children do so much better physically going to school so homeschooling isn’t an option for us.
@@RachPlusFive I totally get this. My high schooler has been in person as soon as he could and my youngest stayed homeschooling. I tried to make him go back and he did for a few days and hated it so I found a curriculum for him at home and he’s never done better ever. Every kid is so different
I’m from the uk and it is strange watching you back to school tips as our schools supply pens, paper, note books etc and your kids are going back a whole month before ours (you do break up earlier too) at least I have time to get prepared now, love you videos ❤️❤️❤️
Every place is different we recently moved more sound from up north and they don’t have school supply lists and they start and release a month before up north does also they have free lunch and breakfast and that’s unheard of up north
Yes, definitely go through their clothes first! these are great tips!! I always try to buy school supplies on clearance. I put together an at home school/homework box for my pre-k'er. My oldest is going to 6th grade and will have a locker. I send deodorant with her. Grab and go snacks and foods are a MUST!
That’s go great she will have a locker! We just filled Brianna’s backpack for 6th grade and it’s ridiculously heavy and she will have to carry it everyday to each class.
Yesss!!!! Especially the mom part both my babies are going for the first time and i haven’t even had a sitter for them in over a year I got stuff to keep me busy and get back to being me and became a brand ambassador for red aspen to get into makeup again cuz I haven’t been able to find time since being a mom ☺️
Oh my goodness thank god you repeated it I almost forgot about the gummies I need to switch out the regular ones I have for the immune system booting ones!♥️☺️
Hi Rach! Speaking of germs with going back to school, I learned from my functional medicine Dr. To boost the immune system with whole food vitamins and supplements (no synthetic ingredients from China) check out Standard Process Catalyn for the whole family (they make a chewable one too) total game changer for us! I also love the fact they are made here in the US in Wisconsin and have been around since 1929. Just thought I would share if you are interested, take care! 😊✌
(Northern) Polk County mom here - we head back 8.10 also and we are readying ourselves too! Its funny how many of these tips are my tried and true - but definitely picked up a few new ones!!! Starting at a newly built charter so we are definitely going to give lots of extra time!!!

@@RachPlusFive Doesn't she stay in the one classroom with her own desk? Different from the days when I was in Primary school then.

I thought Americans don't wear school uniform?
Some do
Some schools do and some don’t. My kids have attended both.
Lots of our kids do but just simple polo shirts and skirts/shorts. Nothing crazy
Hey beautiful...
