    Such fun and creative ideas! I use anti static powder on my hands and fingers when using the foil flakes. It stops the flakes sticking to me so much. I also run my card I have foiled with the flakes, through my Big Shot after I have foiled the card. I use a sheet of paper over the top of the foiled card to stop the flakes sticking to the machine. Because I have all kinds of weird allergies, I also wear a face mask while using the foil flakes. This makes sure I am not actually inhaling any flakes! The foil flakes are sooo much fun and add such a nice it of glitz and sparkle to your cards! Great video, thank you and stay well:-)

    I little tip that I learned many many years ago (showing my age!) is to roll back about a half of an inch from the short side of the adhesive and line it up on top of your cardstock. Once lined up you slowly remove more of the adhesive paper until it is applied to the entire piece of cardstock. Also, after many years of working with foil and it's little flakes, you might try putting the adhesive side of the cardstock face down into the foil container. Less mess! Love your video!

      That's a GREAT idea! I'll have to try that. You could totally line the paper up perfectly every time. Thanks for sharing that tip.

      Agree or have foil at one end of container and work them up from that side

    Thanks. I have oodles of that foil and the flakes. I needed to be reminded of some of these ideas, for I have scoured the internet for different uses. I really appreciate a wake up reminder. Haha. Thank you very much. How easy it is to forget tips and tricks when you don’t get to play with your stash as often as you like. I need some of that tacky paper. Will be visiting you again soon. God Bless you.

    I have used foil pieces before with strips of double-sided tape but never thought of using it with sticker paper. That's a great idea. In fact, thank you for sharing all these ideas.

    That seemed so simple! And I love that you were able to foil without a machine. I have been wanting to use some foil decorating for awhile, but have never worked with it, and not ready to buy another machine, cuz I just bought the new Cuttlebug, which I'm really loving! Thank you for sharing ❤ New Sub!

    Couldn't you not cut the strip edges which would make it simpler to pull off? Or would that mess things up?

    • @scrapbook

    Gilding flakes... COVID-19 Mask should come with them. 😉😷

  • @georgegraham482

    Super ideas. Thanks so much for sharing. Do you know if it’s safe to use this to cut with the scanncut machine?

    • @scrapbook
      @scrapbook  6 років тому

      Thanks for watching. The flakes are not sealed onto the paper so as the blade glides over the paper it will loosen the flakes and cause them to fly. The Scanncut will cut the paper but it will also leave foil flakes on your machine. We do not recommend using an electronic die cutting machine with the foil flakes.
