Offtopic facts: this tune uses "Beat 17A" sample from "Methods of Mayhem - The Industrial Toolkit" sound library. It's very possible that City 17 was named after this sample, and some Combine logotypes (looking like black asymmetric gearwheels) were inspired by album poster. The other proposal that City 17 name was literally taken as reference to Russian town called "Gorodok-17", the military town near the Moscow.

Love how dark interval 100% follows the beta story line like its the half life we Always wanted the beta we wanted i cant WAIT to play the full half life 2 beta and the betas storyline beta was better than retail
The only mod that does not add some strange npc or weapon models and colors oversaturation (I'm looking at you, Raising the bar redux) and stays faithful to beta atmosphere. Nice.
@@lewdslurkeragent because some designs (combine soldiers for example) feel like they belong to Halo. HL2 from its earliest stages aimed to be unique, but Raising the Bar: Redux does not deliver it.
@@FakeCoconut-v7o They are still unique. I really liked the skull CP one for example. But I can see how the other ones may feel a bit over the top (elite's design especially). It's still better than retail, they at least look alien and threatening lol
