in the last 2 years that stuff like your cutting is 80 percent of my firewood. I use my homelite 925 and that is one heavy saw and I saw someone asked about a ripping chain and no I don't think it does any better. Enjoy Bert
Bert, We are down at the Lake here in Eli, Kentucky.... Lake Cumberland... That nasty old knarly stuff makes the best campfire weeny roasts and Smores you ever had!! Keep on truckin ole son, ya doin good!
Bert great 👍 video sit back with a black horse 🐎 beer 🍺 and don’t smell 👃 the sugar burning 🔥. Nice 👍 little husqvarna 390 BERT remember STICK on the ICE 🧊, SAW in the WOOD 🪵 and RUBBER on the ROAD . 😊
An Eastonmade extra-tall 4-way wedge or 4-way box wedge would be perfect for that nasty crap. No noodling cleanup. But when is enough enough when it comes to having the perfect splitter setup for every situation?
Great bucking and noodling session 👍 In your opinion, is it worth buying a ripping chainsaw chain or just using a regular cross cut chain? I've never used a ripping chain. Good video 😊
@@BertsCustomCuts thank you for the feedback. Typically we use the tried and true wedges and spitting maul, but were getting older and are looking for options 🤣 Nobody locally carries rip chains so I figured there must be a reason even if they don't appear to be much more expensive.
Is the 390xp still worth it to buy new if can find one? Is the performance difference enough over the 572xp/372xp to warrant the expense, or go straight to the 395/592xp? Also thinking of the 585 for the big nasty tree service wood.
Cool crappy custom cut!
Just wait till the cool crappy splitting
@@BertsCustomCuts 😂
Nice work Bert. Big wood =big saw. Looks to be pretty solid wood.
Most of it was solid but some was punky
Hi Bert!!😀😀
Gave the old 390 a good workout.
Take care buddy!!😀😀👍👍
Thanks, you too! Hopefully bring you another load soon.
Nice cuttin Bert I am inspired
Awesome! Thank you!
Good cutting session! Some nasty crap indeed!
Yes it was but it will burn.
Good morning Bert great video ( Ty Ron
Thanks for watching
Good morning Bert 😊Big log!
There was some big stuff in there.
Always feels good to get those crappy jobs done & out the way 👍😎
Yes it does!
Nice cutting and ripping😊
Big saws make fast work of a pile.

All wood burns just have to fire more often with lower quality wood.

Knarly stuff does burn longer.
@@BertsCustomCuts Trow a little pine or Beech in there.... snap crackle pop and the grandkids love it
That is some big nasty stuff. Good you have a big saw and a sharp chain. I never liked noodling but sometimes that is your only option.
You got that right! Just wait till we split that pile.
Realy nice
Thanks a lot

You have to watch one of my snag cutting videos if you want to see real crappy firewood . I would be more than happy to burn wood that nice . 👍🇨🇦
I will check it out
Last of that pile! It somehow always manages to reappear again. 🤪😂
Im sure it will reappear again but will be cut up sooner.
With the noodling of those big rounds, perhaps it's time to call Eastonmade and ask to demo a MS-324 skid steer splitter. 😁
I have a homemade one but doesn't like nast stuff

Stay tuned and you'll get to see how we split it.
Bert,is there a cover for the bar and chain that would let the noodles not get stuck 😮😊❤
There probably is, but I dont rip that often.
Hello everyone
Hello and thanks for tuning in

A ripping chain would be worth it if you were using an Alaskan mill, but otherwise, it was not worth changing just to rip a few blocks.

The 592 is a screamer. I have heard the 585 is a nice saw.
Bert all great size boiler wood 🪵 top 🔝 price in the 709 market 😊. 39:13
It will burn but will probley mix in with some hardwood
