Seth's old SNL buddies make for the best interviews... exactly because it doesn't feel like an interview. It's not forced, it's naturally funny and because they're friends, the chemistry is genuine. I think Seth should add to his contract that Colin, Andy Samberg, Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig and/or Fred Armisen *need* to be in the show at least once a week.
He's a comedy writer making a situational observation. His wife can be Scarlett Johansson and he can still observe that mannequins are getting hot and having attitudes. 😄
This duo is my TOP 5 favorite on talk shows. An SNL weekend update veteran, and a current SNL weekend update shining star. Both together make me laugh every time, never failed. Love this.
Wild that you got him to guest on your show before you got him to give you a voice note for the podcast. Maybe next time have Amazon ask him to send a voice note.
Correction: Seth didnt ask Colin for a voice note for the Lonely Island and Seth Meyers podcast. Clearly you are not prioritizing the most important of your IPs here, Seth.
They aren't kidding, Pop Culture Jeopardy isn't easy. Jost is the perfect host and feels like later Trebek. There's also a touch of Will's Trebek too. "Who is Turd Ferguson" better be a question one day. EDIT: Spoilers: Episode 4 (Thank you Pop Culture Jeopardy team)
the remote interview colin did with seth when colin was promoting tom and jerry is the funniest interview i have ever seen. it has got to be one of the funniest interviews ever, certainly with seth, and i type that as a huge john mulaney fan.

The Netherlands developed angled trash cans next to bike paths to make it easier to put trash in them while in motion. They are living in the 20th century, while the US is languishing in the 19th.
Especially the story about the trip the Jost took w/ Seth, Josh, & Andy Samberg to Helsinki, Finland where Seth ran a full marathon. Highlights include: Gerald Ford Jr, a Finnish graveyard, & punting the boat to Estonia in favor of flying to Amsterdam. 🤣
On Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, he once had Adam Sandler and Andy Sanberg on to be like, "hey they say we are all the same, i dont think we are the same, do you think we are the same?" It was amazing!!! Seth, for the love of Everything, during SNL's 50th year, please have a panel of all the living and willing Weekend Update hosts.
Colin is so bad at keeping a straight face. He's so easy to tease and he puts up with it and laughs at himself - that's a very valuable trait, being able to laugh at yourself.
As adorably gorgeous as Colin is and Scarlett being the perfection of womanhood can you imagine how beautiful their child is? And the mannequin obsession many will understand ❤
I need these two together weekly please, this is the only solution to the mental health crisis.
YES!
Seth? Colin? If you guys won’t agree to do this, all further diagnoses of depression from here on out are on YOU.
Same ❤
Colin is Seth's "Guillermo".😘
Gosh, no. It would be only internal jokes
These two, day-drinking with Seth! Hilarious 😂
It'd turn into Day drink and Night Visit to the ER! lol!
Oh, man. They HAVE to do that at some point.
YES !!! 😂
Make it happen, Seth!!
Seth would get Colin so drunk he'd call his parents in a panic.
7:25 “somebody might say this ain’t your grandma’s jeopardy.” That was a long walk for a short trip 😂
That's like 95% of every quick joke I tell
Colin’s habit of hiding his face in his hand is so freaking adorable… and never gets old.
it does actually.
Totally brilliant and adorable funny guys ❤️🤪
@@johnhaxby306 Your jealousy shines bright.
As a matter of fact I just got done saying to myself my God that's annoying.
it has definitely gotten old---he's just playing it up still
That captured a little of the chaotic energy of their Covid-era Zoom interview when he was promoting Tom and Jerry and I loved every minute of it.
I was thinking the exact same thing!
@@RVCfilm i didn't see it. Maybe I can find it.
The Tom and Jerry interview was hilarious!!

Oh my God I love this idea ❤❤❤❤
Also John Oliver
I love when he has his snl buddies on. Seth is just so genuine & sweet 😊
These two are the cutest. I love when Seth gives space for comedians to derail the interview a bit.
So bold to discuss hot mannequins being the husband of Scarlett heckin Johansson.
Yo you need an extinguisher? 😆
I was surprised too!
Dude I was like this guy would know stacked and hot. Also if your baseline is scar jo I don't know what he is grading on.
its called self confidence.
It all started with Elaine on Seinfeld...
Mr. Johansson cracks me up! Love these 2 together, comedy gold.
“Take your time” was delivered w insane comedy timing 😈
Imagine your wife being Scarlett Johansson and you find mannequins hot 😂
She was the voice in 'Her' so maybe its just segmented realities collapsing 🤣
Would make sense if ScarJo modelled for the new mannequins :D
He's a comedy writer making a situational observation. His wife can be Scarlett Johansson and he can still observe that mannequins are getting hot and having attitudes. 😄
wasn't a bit funny in the least--it was weird
Imagine what those mannequins must look like, then... 😂😂😂
Two of the funniest people on the planet just gigglin’ & riffin’ with each other. We need more of this in our lives! ❤😂
fr tho, so genuine and just pure sillies 😂🥰

Omg I love their vibe lol the whole interview was quite a ride 😂
I have never in my life laughed that hard at an interview.
My cheeks literally hurt 😂

lol that was the first thing I thought of too
He better of gotten that voice note!
Immediate thought as well.
I could watch Colin and Seth together forever 🎉 ❤
We know this man from not remembering to submit his notes to the podcast. COLIN!

“Colin” should just send another voice note. While peeing. 😆

Love the comedian banter! Made me laugh so hard! Love you both! 🥰

Turd Ferguson was the best!
Colin is effortlessly funny. 😂
Wow, he is so much funnier just chatting on a talk show! I'm laughing so hard this whole interview! 😭😭
Careful, Jost! If Andy Samberg catches you throwing that bottle in the recycling bin, he's reporting you to the cops.

Nobody slowly turns off a TV, Seth. These aren’t your grandma’s TVs.
moving like Sid the SLoth then toward the set ( assuming it's grandma here)
😅😮
Damn Jost was on fire here!
He’s clearly got some special ready material. That mannequin bit probably goes for like 10 great minutes
As in funny or embarrassing
This interview is hilarious! It's more of best buddies hang out really. Love it!!
omg it's always the funniest when two friend comedians are talking. These two are great.
The Netherlands developed angled trash cans next to bike paths to make it easier to put trash in them while in motion. They are living in the 20th century, while the US is languishing in the 19th.

In so many more ways than just that, sadly.

I thought they were living in the 21st century over there.
Dutch, 21st. Usa, 19th. East Europe, 20th.
I don't think I've ever felt so represented by guest. I mean, a happier, funnier me that somehow landed Scarlett Johansson...
Congrats on the new show! Now you can properly be called Colin Host!
Yeah but before we shortened it to CoHost like his wife ScarJo

Colon Jost is absolutely hilarious. I've been a huge fan of his for years. I love Jeopardy so I have to check out Pop Culture Jeopardy.
'Colon' ?
That's a low blow.

Now there are 2 versions of Jeopardy that make me feel dumb.
Lately, I have been saying, "This ain't your grandparents' republican party.'

Well I’m watching pop culture jeopardy thanks to Colin talking about mannequins 😂
Pop Culture Jeopardy
@ lol thanks
0:46 Seth never sounds this excited on Corrections. He should talk like this all the time.
I can tell you aren't a Jackal because we like to break Seth's spirit. Out of love.
If he talked that excited all the time...by definition he would never be "excited". Really, think about it.
Love, love, love Colin Jost! 💟🫶🏽🤟🏽

I'd take a Colin-Marcello sandwich any day 😊
Awesome I want my team name to be. “I love Michael Che.”

Couldn’t we just have them cohost a couple times a month? I’m dying. 😂
Really enjoyed this one.
The original phrase was, "this ain't your grandma's rodeo"
This is false.
"This ain't your grandma's original phrase starting with 'This ain't...'"

I definitely said "Who is Atreyu?" In that tone
I got that one right too! ✋️

“Now should I talk about the Jay-Z stuff” 🤣🤣🤣 damn cold lolol

@@willowquinn2493 oh yea totally! Jay-Z is a rapper, he is married to Beyonce & is frequently in the news, current buzz out there rn is a real dooozy!
I also don't understand why comedians who discuss anything are afraid to discuss Jay Z? Possibly naive, but genuinely curious.
Best jost interview ever!
The “love Domingo” has to be from the backstage of SNL since that has to be what every regular person visiting them cares about.
Two greats, one stage.
Any man that buys a Staten Island Ferry is solid in my book! LOL!
2 great comedians.
Colin Jost is an incredible talent.

Finally, late night gets to the subject of SNL credits. I first noticed them a couple of years ago. I'm no dummy.
We love colin jost and seth meyers
Seth, I'm surprised you didn't take this time to ask Colin for a voice note for the podcast.
Scarlett getting jealous of the window plastic 😂😂
Pop culture Jeopardy looks like it's an American version of The Big Fat Quiz of the year, although 3 people on a team looks a little chaotic vs 2.
Just a thought..how funny would it be if Colin walked out wearing the puffy pirate shirt from Seinfeld haha
Also it's funny because all I could think about with the mannequin bit is the seinfeld episode where the mannequin looks like Elaine :)
But I don't wanna be a pirate!
@@dunkelmonkey Just wear the puffy shirt!
