    Yaaaassss!!! I'm so happy someone is talking about this. Because I love being relaxed!!! Just because your natural does not mean your hair is healthy & just because your relaxed does not mean your hair isn't healthy! Thank you for sharing! I'm tired of this bad stigma about relaxers all of a sudden!

      I am sorry. But people refused to admit relaxers contains chemicals that can be damaging. I had a relaxer long time ago and it had me with a fever over 101. With natural hair I don't have to worry a chemical doing that to my hair it is less risky. That's why she said in one of her comments she did the relaxer already on healthy hair for she was natural before. To me relaxers always looks more thinner straight than someone who is natural with a silk press. That's because being natural the hair is more fuller and thicker compared to someone who is relaxed.

      Relaxers are the death of BLACK hair. research what's in your Perms! What's worth putting those poisons in your blood? #licensed

      I’ve been natural for five years, take good care of my hair, have had on stop shedding or breakage. I always protective style- which worked on relaxed hair. Anyway a natural hairstylist advised me to chop it off and start over. I’ll be texturizing.

      I think its so funny how some of you naturalists protestors think you can just go on a rampage with your "knowledge". However, what are you eating? what are you drinking? what are you cleaning your house with? what car are you driving? are you REALLY sure about all of the ingredients in every hair product you have? MAJORITY (not all of you) are hypocrites. Save it! Us relaxed girls know there's crap in it. Some of those silk presses yall be getting are not ALL NATURAL and have chemicals in the products so that it can STRAIGHTEN YOUR HAIR! I've recently switched from using relaxers to getting professional anti-frizz treatments, and its almost the same thing but leaves my hair more full and guess what...THERES STILL CHEMICALS IN IT TO HELP STRAIGHTEN THE HAIR! Some of us like having straight hair everyday without having to hide from any sign of humidity (I live in humid central) and we are finding ways to do so! Save your speeches because we just don't care

    I’m sorry honey not all hair types can go for more than 12 week. If you have to tell your stylist that they need further down your hair because your stretching your hair you need to change stylist.

      im sorry honey but all hair can be stretched just because you don't know how to achieve it without breakage doesn't mean its impossible lol and if I choose to tell my stylist to go further down for a CORRECTIVE relaxer I can I mean lol why you pressed

    I told the stylist I had 4 month new growth. I and had a consultation. She still unprocessed my hair. I noticed when she install a U part wig, I went out on a rainy day. My leave out became puffy and frizzy. Also, I asked her why my hair didn’t flat iron straight and sleek like how she does it. I have a baby bliss flat iron. She said “ your hair is 70 % relaxed”. I paid for a relaxer, not a texlax. Well, that’s why I could only do perm rod styles. I couldn’t do sleek wraps styles neither. Thanks for the information.

    I AM NATURAL.... I do not... I repeat... I do not like my natural hair!!! Some people like their hair straight... 🙋🏽‍♀️😂 I don’t see a problem if you know how to take care of it...I don’t do perms because I don’t take care of my hair... but being Natural I put a lot of time into my hair... and I still DO NOT like it natural 🤦🏾‍♀️

    My hair is so coily that people are always able to see where my new growth stops.tbh I dont mind under processed hair Cuz I feel like it makes my hair sturdy n volumous
    sometimes, depending on how fast ur new growth comes in the the whole 6 to 8 weeks touch up can be damaging if there isnt enough new growth and for me most times I dont have alot of new growth until 8 to 10 weeks. I like stretching my relaxers as long as I possibly can as well (10 to 12 weeks) Cuz it gives my hair a chance to really grow out and I normally protective style during this time so that I dont have to manipulate it too much. So yeah i agree that stretching ur relaxers r a really good thing and it is possible to do.

    Hair looks great. Also great advice on consultation and professional stylist intervention. I only have my professional stylist do my hair, and I will have her advise as to whether my stretches are too long. I will soon be 14 weeks and I went 18 last time, but I may need correction. Thanks for the information.

    I under processed my hair 3 weeks ago.especially the edges, can I redeem with a mild relaxer after 3 weeks?

    • @JazzieJaeT
      @JazzieJaeT  5 років тому +6

      I would say wait one more week the general rule is a 4 to 6 weeks. But I suggest looking into a different chemical treatment as if your hair is not taking the relaxer it’s time to do something different that will be less damaging with straight results like the Japanese thermal reconditioning treatment

      Her hair is healthy and there's a lot of girls with healthy relaxed hair. It depends on how you behave with your hair.

      Relaxers eat through to the cuticle and the cortex of the hair strand to the medula... that two protective layers... a healthy strand consists of 3 layers...so I do not think that relaxed hair is healthy hair as two layers are permanently missing... however, this can also happen w so called natural hair as well through over manipulation of the hair strands, color, or heat damage... also, unless you're planting organic fruits and vegetables, mixing them up and applying them to your hair, then you're using chemicals... so, if you're so called natural and buying shampoos and conditioners off the shelves, then you are using chemicals to manipulate the hair strands...while the chemicals may be lighter and not permanently burning through to the medula, they are still chemicals... that being said, what the f*uck does it matter what a Black woman chooses to do w the hair on her own head? It doesn't... I will never relax my hair, but I am still manipulating it when I stretch it... oh well!

      You sound crazy telling somebody about their hair. Natural hair doesn’t equal healthy. I was natural for 2 years until today. I had all kinds of shedding, breakage, and fairy knots.
