I’m sort of in the same boat as you now. I actually under processed my hair on purpose and I loved it a first. But once it starts getting frizzy it becomes hard to comb through which leads to breakage and me putting more heat on it to keep it straight and that defeats the whole purpose of being relaxed lol. I went relaxed in the first place to avoid putting so much heat on my hair. But hey, it’s a journey and I’m still learning. So next time I’m going to correct it and this video helped me a lot on how to go about doing that! 💞
Wow we definitely was in the same boat! That’s how I was feeling. I loved it at first but after a while it drove me insane my roots never laid flat, I looked like I had a wig on lol. OVER IT
@MsStarryNights You took the words right out of my mouth with your comment, with the exception of the fact I used Motions regular sodium hydroxide formula!
@@JR-cr9bw Hello I can only recommend what I have used in the past and that would be affirm by kera care. I am natural for the past 13 years so I might not be the person to answer your question fully.
You're so intelligent which is why you can grow your own hair so well. I'm recently relaxed (this past week after more than a decade natural) and I'm so happy and pleased. I recall that trying to stretch between retouching was my downfall. I'm saving this video to a playlist as one of the expert-class reference videos. Grateful to you, doll. xoxo
Hair strand thickness varies throughout the head the back may be more fine while the rest thicker so that's why you feel the result difference especially if it's smoother and straighter I the back
Salon results at home😍😍😍 Vee I’m so amped for you because you are killing it at self-relaxing!! And no shame in switching back to your old relaxer, you gotta make it work for your lifestyle 💪🏽
Definitely try it!! It makes life so easy and to be honest I would of never even tried to self relax if I didn’t learn this technique from @hairlicious
@@MilatresseVee yeah, she natural now, but still entertaining and creative, I adopted her technique 5 years ago and it's been really helping me. I'm currently butt length
Lovely results 💕 I use the Mazani buttercream Relaxer I love that relaxer because it really lasts and I can stretch further in my relaxer stretch :) thank you so much for sharing God-bless you🙏🏽❣
@@MilatresseVee Oh my goodness gracious your scalp?? Was the cream too close? I've never had a problem out any relaxer..my first one was Olive oil used it 1 year..didn't make my hair straight enough..then cream of nature straight from eden.. I switched from this one is that didn't see many mild they were always out and just had super..so 7 months later I started using Mazani and my hair loves it..sorry for what happened to your scalp..
I've been subscribed to you for the past 3 months and this is the first time I'm leaving a comment! :) I really LOVED this video and I love your channel. It's thanks to you that my deep conditioning sessions are MUCH better now because of the pink deep conditioning cap that you recommended. I know that you don't normally blow-dry/flat iron but it came out REALLY smooth and silky at the end of this video just like your rollersets. Could you tell me how you got it that way...like did you use your TGIN leave-in before blow drying or what? It would be nice to see how you did it.
@@MilatresseVee Omg that would be great! I'm looking forward to this. Thanks so much for sharing your routines. You've really helped me out in my journey
hello! i relaxed my hair in early november and it didn’t take at all, my hair was 4c/b and it essentially texlaxed it? it was still really curly and barely any parts straightened. i waited six weeks and did a corrective relaxer and it worked better but there was still quite abit of hair that was curly in the middle of my head and some strands are straight on the ends and roots and curly in the middle. i’ll wait a few months for another corrective as my roots and ends are fine, i was just wondering how i’d know what parts of my hair to re-relax if my hair has straightened evenly (with a flat iron)? if we can’t wet or damp the hair to see the parts that revert, how will i prevent over processing?
Yeah I'm in the same boat. I'm thinking you could wet/dampen hair, bantu knot the parts that don't need to be processed again, air dry the underprocessed, wait a couple of days and relax the underprocessed. (something along those lines, i'm still trying to figure out how to do it also)
I like your technique of how to apply the relaxer, I definitely will do it that way if I have to do it myself. Question, how heard or ever used Mizani Butter Blend Relaxer?
Thank you I learned it from @hairlicious and I tried a mizani relaxer before and it burned my scalp immediately but it was years ago idk if it was the “butter cream one”
She might but it seems to be working for her (for now) Unfortunately I think bleach and relaxing do not mix and eventually those bleached sections are going to break off. They look so bomb now it's sad what we curly haired girls have to go through. All in all she is tempting me to go back to relax after being natural for over ten years and summer coming I'm over the natural hair routine. Bless everyone
I've used ORS for years and just used Dark & Lovely two days ago. It made my hair look and feel so much better.

When I was relaxed I loved the affirm products. I have purchased online and from the beauty store, you will get a better deal online.
I like the pre relaxer stuff
Do you recommend this brand? I’ve never heard of it, only used the olive oil brand so I’m like idk if I should try it.

Which store/seller on Amazon?
I don't want knockoff hair products.
Thank you.
PS - Also, is it the lye relaxer? That's what I want.

I’ve been seeing a lot of people use this twisting technique I’m gonna try it out my next relaxer

Beautiful!!! Try the affirm no lye you will love it. That neutralizing shampoo is awesome, so is the entire line
Thanks for the tip!
Love it, girl! Very nicely done!

Came out Nice!!!...I always use a comb too..
My stylist always used a comb to smooth my relaxer too

I’m going to try the comb smoothing so I can get my hair straight, there is another relaxed girl, long hair does the same way, her name is Cunning Mom
The affirm shampoo and the keracare shampoo are made by the same company so that's why they feel similar
Yes I know lol I love them ❤️
How do you prep your hair for the gym?
I wear a high bun and use sweat band for my edges
Lovely, lt came out great and beautiful hair
Thank you
So affirm is a good relaxer to try, overall? I’m just wondering which one I should try. I want to make sure it is fully nourishing!
I heard nothing but good things about it, but I personally never used it
This came out good frenn 😍
Thanks Bae❤️

I didn't care for that relaxer. It left my hair with so much texture. I'm currently waiting to do a retouch. It may work for you though.

@@MilatresseVee your welcome 💕
Do you ever use olaplex products? Your hair is so strong and healthy. I just want a reason NOT to spend the money on those products, so let me know.
The back comes out straighter than the top because you start in the back first. The back is being processed longer.
I feel like eventually you’re gonna go natural 🥴 all my relaxed hair girls have been going natural lately. For variety of reasons.
Not me..
I had soft wavy hair and got tired of it sweating out so in 2003 I got a relaxer. 😊
Yeaaaa it’s a NO for me I highly doubt I’ll go natural
