In some way don't you find kf4 one of the most tragic fromsoft games? Starting from lore, the atmosphere, and how underrated and forgotten this game is, just like the cursed lands you traveling in. Playing it feels like some kind of pilgrimage.

Only from a development perspective and in terms of a handful of references, and past game references are a longstanding From Software tradition and not unique to Souls.
@@youngkappakhan The MC arriving to a once prosperous kingdom now in ruins and discovering the story through items and characters is something that the Souls games got from King's Field, or more likely from Demon's Souls which is considered the real spiritual successor of the KF series.

God this track is genuinely amazing, it somehow instills a... longing nestolgia for something I cant remember. Dreamlike and beautiful

I did it. It take me 5 long years to win this fight between game and me. Now i feel empty, it was one of the most impactful descending journeys.
Never played the Souls games, but have been playing this. Very unique, interesting experience.
i started ds1 on ps3 evergrace on ps2 as a kid but somehow missed the entire KF series. i platinumed eternal ring 4 years ago n it was so good
