FromSoftware kinda began as an average fantasy game. "oh no bad darkness you must use holy magic relic to cleanse the land" kinda fantasy, now it has erupted to a great lump of creativity. Elden Ring, Dark Souls, Sekiro, Bloodborne, all of them. FromSoftware approached medieval fantasy in a dark, tragic and yet also lord-like approach.

I took a poll on r/fromsoft about a remake or remaster and the result was most people wanted a new series in the same IP universe. I found that interesting 🤷♂️
Well with how spotty the track record for people handling remakes of Fromsoft games, as Fromsoft hates making remakes or porting stuff to new systems and only ever did it once for their old games, a new game would be the best option.

Instantly reminded me of the Barony Soundtrack. I think this is just the music genre dungeon games have, but I absolutely dig it.
there's a whole music genre called dungeon synth that tries to replicate this feeling, you should give it a try, there's some good stuff in there
