Appreciate you doing a video on this. I have the Mk5 so I'm also interested in getting a CCS. It is pricey but I'll prob get one. I think the Mk5 prob represents the best value on the entire site tho. They did a good job with it.
I believe the circle cut outs they said were for some tool used while doing breaching charges and that you can kinda stuff it in there use it then stuff it back. I dont know the tool since I dont do that stuff but thats what I remember hearing at some point.
I bet you anything the price discrepancy between the two is probably manufacturer labor costs that mk5 looks like it’s totally automated. But it’s funny that the base is cheaper than the pouch.
How well would this work with an M4 triple insert in the back? Seems like an interesting option to stick on a pure molle placard base/molle avs flap if it could hold mags well
Spiritus makes the foam inserts to turn their gp pouch into a nods pouch. Also, Arbor arms makes a dedicated padded pouch for binos. Check them out and let me know what you think.
mission dictates gear- if your mission requires extensive prone, use something else. there's a time and a place for everything, no single piece of gear is perfect in every situation
$115 as of June 2024.
Idk what happened to "$80" but it ain't like that no more, bubba

Mk5 and the zip on molle panel are no joke for value.
Back in the days you Slapped a 6wide Eagle Pouch on the front of the JPC1 flap and it was glorious
Yup.

Adam said the circle cut out is a place to stash your punch for a nonel shooter.

Very very possible.
Prob is. The base is essentially a single piece of laser cut material folded into a box shape. They just have to add some velcro and sew the seams.
It's $114.95 now 😂
Yeah, screw that.

Interesting question, I’ll check.
@@EODFish how did it work out?
I am very tempted to make this into a dangler like i made my eagle utility into one
The circle looks like you can use it for the clip on a sheath.. the knife would be in between the MK5 and the CCS
Great Video as always 🔥🔥
Can you do a video on different pouches for NODs? Looking for something that will fit a set of 31As.
The stock 31 pouch from FS is the best pouch.
@@EODFish well that's a bummer to hear, because that thing is huge.

Will a set of 10x42 DTDVG’s fit in there? About 6-7” tall
You mind me asking if you're using that tablet with a mini drone and if so which mini drone do you like?
Right now I just have a cheap Tello. I want to step up to something that can overcome wind a bit better.
Is it big enough to take up a JPC back panel if you have two of them? Deciding between these or the spiritus wides
Yes.
How does the size of this pouch compare to the pouch that is built into the haley strategic D3CRM?
Never had one in hand so I can’t say.
$170 in canada today 😢
Say sike right now
@@EODFish i wish young grasshopper😔
Hey Fish, could you test how this works on a crye m4 kangaroo flap?
It’s molle my dude, how would it not?
@@EODFish was more concerned size wise if it overhangs in weird ways or not.
Can it fit a monocular and range finder in there?
Almost certainly. I know a pair of PVS-31s will fit.
These things still suck for going prone
Shoot well enough that you don’t need cover?

Grunts carry so much shit they HAVE to put pouches in the front.
