I loved his enthusiasm for the house and all the extras he was able to add. Being a geologist, I can see that he had fun with the lava rock. Add to that the interesting lighting and fireplace and you have a gorgeous place to stay.
Love this tug boat home & the owners too! Creative & unique & you can tell how much she loves living there! So sweet & awesome - a "personal tour" for sure! What a blessing that her husband knows boats & metal-working - has ability & desire to make it into authentic home. Good job! The other owners changed the boat so much that it wasn't a tug anymore (except down in engine room). It's wonderful! I love tugboats anyway ~ all that power!... Mighty, little workhorse & the big ships go nowhere without tugs escorting 'em in & out! Usually, the whole 'down below' is chock-full of massive engines...this is much nicer as living quarters!
This is one of my favorites!! I love the inside and outside, especially the kitchen, stairs and shower 😻 and the views! He was so intentional and proud about every detail!! And it turned out beautiful!
Oh I loved this one!! The sink in the bedroom is wonderful. Most houses with 1 bathroom could benefit from separating shower and toilet into two separate spaces with micro sinks in the bedrooms.
Wow what a beautiful place to holiday or live...the view's are spectacular and the shipping container's are fitted out perfectly (I love that staircase)...if I lived closer this would be on my bucket list...thankyou for sharing Jenna oh and the owner sound's like a fun guy and really down to earth as well 💜🇦🇺
I love how they used the raw shipping container skins with the magnificent, modern windows! Did you see how they finished the roofing? Is it simply shipping container or did they add any additional weather proofing?
It's beautiful! Maybe on the first floor, have 2 containers side by side that would make the place wider. Maybe the kitchen and bathroom could be larger. Maybe a bigger bedroom as well. Upstairs was nice, a bit small but I'd have the larger bedroom downstairs so I'm all set. The materials and design were so attractive. I love the modern look of it all. The stone and lava, wood was so well-designed and looked perfect together. If I wasn't 70 and on Social Security, I would be looking into becoming a container dweller.
beautiful beautiful beautiful. Never thought of a container house with such an asesthic interior: the floor plan, lighting, dark and wooden colours and the diagonal placement of the upper deck....of course with the natural environment outside, love it.
Just beautiful & I love the "Art" staircase, Lava, countertops ,anything eclectic is for me👍👍🩷 However, w/the 6 homes so close to trees, I sure hope there're "lightening rods"! Great job!
Beautiful home, but a $250,000 price tag seems to cancel out all of the reasons to build a tiny home in the first place. You could literally build ten 40’ container homes for that price
I would live and own a tiny house if it looked like this one. This guy should build and sell them, what a fantastic designer and decorator. Love, love, love!!!!
Artistic and also functional 👍🏻 A couple of suggestions, though: 1) Perhaps a one-way mirror film on the bathroom window will address any privacy concerns. 2) A few "container art" theme pictures will add a bit of color to the bare walls!
Mirror film works during daylight when light is stronger outside than within. Nighttime will need curtains but then it is hard to see to the outside anyways, and you often want to sewa curtains to keep it warmer --so a win.
Absolutely beautiful!...love just about everything about this build...EXCEPT the cork flooring...reason beening I have cork flooring in my kitchen and the bathrooms. It was recommended by my contractor at the time for its amazing comfort and warmth on the feet...which is does have...but MAJOR DOWN FALL after a few years it leaves wear patterns in high traffic areas...also if dropping silverware in the kitchen, especially knives or forks, it leaves gashes in the cork which are unrepairable!! Bottom line the only place I would recommend using cork flooring would be in the bathrooms for its extra warmth on the feet and we have no wear patterns...if you're set on using cork in high traffic areas I would highly recommend throwing down area rugs...which to me defeats the purpose of showing off your beautiful flooring!!
Truly gorgeous! Wonderful location! The downside is the other nearby buildings that negate the total "in forest" experience and would make me feel exposed with the floor to ceiling windows.
I love how much he loves this place! One of my favorites you’ve done! He’s great! And LOVVVVVE his place!! (And especially how environmentally in-tune he is! Way to go!!
spend a few dollars and get remote curtains or tint the windows so you can see out but they cannot see it. Plus the distance from the. couch to the TV is way to close
This home is beautiful! It’s well thought out, sustainable items used, sky lights, the LED lights!! It’s exciting and I’d totally live there! The floor is LAVA!!!! Bwahahahaha!!!
For the bathroom. Look into “smart tiny film” with the touch of a button it will completely frost the glass, and then with another touch of a button it is clear glass… it won’t take away from the beautiful design at all
This house and guy were pretty darn cool! Normally, I don’t care for Airbnb host (cuz I live on Maui & there’s a shortage of homes due to illegal STR) but I really like him🌲🐿️
Very spiffy. Enjoyed the use the f the cantilevers and your choice of colors. There’s no way I’d shower or sleep in these rooms without some kind of window coverings; the toilets are far enough back that I’d probably be ok. But that’s just me. I can certainly see why you went with the open windows as part of the overall design.
You, I just checked for October. With all the fees it came up to $1293 for 2 nights. 😂 Five years ago, I stayed in 5 star safari properties in South Africa for less per night. And it included all 3 meal meals, alcohol and 6 hours of safaris per day. Value is definitely lacking here.
@@mariuspetre1613 for 250k you can build a Palace lol, this is a total fail. Either he is lying out right to wash some money or he just wants to push the value up of something that has a very low valuation. What in those 2 containers is worth 232k? He could have orderd hightech prefab containers for 50k with everything you can imagin. A beautiful Prefab house would cost 250k There is plenty of video on UA-cam whe it comes to containers where people build off grid with solar panels and everything for like 30k-100k that are 100times better then this.
it’s interesting to me that most container home builds are always some sort of luxury build, when you would think that they would be affordable housing builds because with containers you have less to worry about with structural integrity, and because they’re all the same size, it’s really easy to be cookie cutter formats.
Yummy! Your stew looked so good! I love to make homemade stews and soups when it's cold out here in Iowa. My favorite thing to make is homemade creamy chicken soup, but love beef stew as well. Thanks for sharing❤
Thank you so much for this video!!! I live in fl wanting to build a container home and had no idea about this Know that what you went through is helping so many people get a heads up Thanks again.. official subscriber !!!
I saw in the $300’s for December, which I think is totally reasonable considering the size and level of finish. The house is beautiful! All those cool features are not easy to build - you have to plan everything way in advance.
Love the cabin ,,i have a cabin less than 100 miles from you,,all i can say is never install skylights in the pnw,, Reduce window size to conserve power, the containers in the forest is a great idea due to our unruley winters , limbs and trees crash down at our mt st helens location alot,, Thumbs up on the build!
I appreciate you sharing these videos. I live in a small home, in town but I'm ready to sell and look for a property to build a storage container home. Your videos have given me so much knowledge on dos and don'ts . ❤
Nick needs his own UA-cam, his presentation is so good!
The sheer glee and pride he has in the build is infectious. Looks incredible and that shower, hell yeah
But no sink....
@@helenahasenson9628 Yeah ngl I would hate to take a dump and then have to walk down the hallway, potentially open two doors, just to wash my hands
The shower could have been a bit smaller so that a sink would fit. It’s not very hygienic without a sink.
He has every right to be proud!
Nick is obviously proud of his container home and rightly so. It is beautiful and functional.
It's rather difficult to contain enthusiasm with this wonderful house! You really delivered the goods with this!
I loved his enthusiasm for the house and all the extras he was able to add. Being a geologist, I can see that he had fun with the lava rock. Add to that the interesting lighting and fireplace and you have a gorgeous place to stay.
well duh its an ad for airbnb ofc he wants to ACT EXCITED. sheep
@@benwarped7272 True, but no need to call names. My son and I set up a house for AirBnb and it WAS exciting to see all the hard work begin paying off!
you go do that then
Beautiful, unique details. Looks like Nick's art is designing his homes and the placement of each on his six acres.
It's nice to see someone just so proud of their creativity. Refreshing Sir. God bless you and yours.

This dude is geeking out hard on his build and I love it.
Love the consideration for sustainable materials and building within the trees instead of tearing them out. Beautiful job!
Love this guy! He is very creative and has good taste and a love for the environment! Way to go!
b.s. this is sacrilege - esp. the ugly bright yellow that clashes with the surroundings
This gentleman did a great job describing the build and products used.
I love everything about this home, it was built on love
Beautiful container cabin. Impressed by detail.
I love this house and no you did not go too far with the lava theme it's really incredible!!!!
He makes me want to be there right now! What a gem of a property.
This is one of my favorites!! I love the inside and outside, especially the kitchen, stairs and shower 😻 and the views! He was so intentional and proud about every detail!! And it turned out beautiful!
you didn't go overboard with the lava. this is awesome
One of the best container homes ever. Well done.
Love the out of box thinking and excitement the owner has for his property. May the investment, time and resources pay dividends for years to come.
it's more IN the box, technically :p
Oh I loved this one!! The sink in the bedroom is wonderful. Most houses with 1 bathroom could benefit from separating shower and toilet into two separate spaces with micro sinks in the bedrooms.

Gosh that mossy forest makes for such a beautiful view in the bedrooms. Just stunning!
"Be careful, the floor is lava." I had to laugh. Very nice job on the home and great property to set it on.

Foam insulation.

A very tasteful and artistically designed home! It's really beautiful!
I am speechleess adoring the combination of material and design quality while the exterior appearance seems to be modest and unimposing!

Nick made me smile...
I love the yellow color since it gives the house a pop of color.
13:22 love this view while it's raining and listening to dreampop music with warm coffee.
Nick's passion and genius truly shine in this build. I especially love the sustainable theme!

$750 a night to stay at that place. Are you kidding me. That's absolutely outrageous.
