- Hey guys! Today I want to teach you how to dutch braid. This dutch braid tutorial is perfect for those who are a beginner to dutch braiding. I hope this dutch braid tutorial is helpful! xoxo
you make it look so easy
My arms were killing me trying to do this
I have to drop my arms a few times! Definitely a work out 😆❤️
Thanks for showing it as the person who is actually doing the braid on their own hair. So many tutorials show it being done on a model, but it’s not like I need to learn how to do it on someone else, I need to learn how to do it on my own hair!
Fr all of them have a little mannequin head thingy but I wanna do it on my hair not a dolls 😭
@@Manha-w8kReal and I keep seeing videos that are two braids and I want a tutorial that shows one braid and how to reach in the back because my arms don’t bend that far back😭
Haha literally the only difference with the dutch and the french braids are whether the hair is going under or over. Thank you for this ❤❤
Yes I just realized this. Feels much more like realistic achievement for me now 😅
True but for some reason I can’t get my brain to wrap around how to do it on my own hair! So frustrating lol
At the age of 24 I can finally dutch braid my own hair! I'm about to cry bcs I'm that happy 😂 Thanks to you! ❤
Lmao SAME! Except I’m 39 and my whole life could never do it.
Finally did it after watching this and am ridiculously excited 😂
You do it so effortlessly, looks great! 😍
Thank you 😊❤
@@LaineyMarieBeauty yw 😘
My brain just won’t let this happen 😂
I’m not sure if it’s Because I’m left handed but I find Dutch braiding much more natural/easy than French - great tutorial - thank you!
I completely agree, I think putting strands underneath each other is easier than crossing them over like with french braids. I’ve tried french braiding for years and can’t do it but pulled off a dutch braid on the first try 🤩🤩
I think it's because you can not see the braid as well with Dutch plates , it's more like a three strand twist than a proper plate unless you are using small and tight strands..
Omg this looks so easy and i love that you filmed it from behind and the technique is amazing
Ok. Today was my 10th attempt to do this for my daughter. Failed again lol i understand the concept but it just doesn’t turns out well 😂
I struggled a lot with it too, but with enough practice!
I know how to do a French braid blindfolded so I had to fight the instinct to pull the pieces of hair over each other. Once my brain could tell my hands to pull the sections of hair UNDERNEATH instead of over, I finally got it
I started screaming😭😭, howling😮 when trying this hairstyle on two sides😂😂 pain♾️
currently showing this to my hair stylist...
Braids are just the prettiest hairstyle❤❤
Watched so many of these tutorials but yours just clicked in my brain for some reason 😮😂
Am i the only one who can’t do this? 🤣 im struggling lol tried it 3x already and still can’t seem to do it!
So it's a French braid, except going under instead of over 👍
Omg thank you so much for this video 1st time ever braiding my hair and I used yours step by step and was finally able to braid my hair !!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH
First video that explains it simply done on yourself👍🏼
I’ve seen so many Dutch braid tutorials and this is the only one which has worked for me 😊
I've been braiding my hair with all the braids that I won't be able to do as easily since I made my hair appointment for Wednesday to cut about 11 inches off. I'm so excited. Today I did a Dutch braid. So pretty. ^_^
Wow! 11 inches is a lot. Sometimes a good chop is needed! I hope you love your new hair!
@@LaineyMarieBeauty I'm donating it to Hum Sum, they make mats that absorb oil spills. the shortest amount you can donate is 1 inch and they accept dog hair and fleece. I do it about every 2-3 years.
My hand cramped but after several months of trying to learn this, I had my best effort after this video.
that's the first time i was successful with the Dutch braid!! 🎉 but my arms are so tired LOL
Girl you are the best teacher around thank you I nailed it after watching this video twice!!! Thanks a million!!
I try to make a boxer braid like 3 years now and when i saw thie Video i knew i have to try it and omg in looks AMAZING thank you ! (I could see something without cutrain bangs)😂
Years!!!! I've seen so many videos and never been able to figure it out. I got it first time. Had to lean back on the couch to support my burning arms to finish but you deserve a medal lol
I would probably need to practice 100 times 😅
Omg i just did it first attempt with your video. Thank you
I’ve watched this so many times it was confusing at first but now I’m gonna try this on my little sister lol 😂
You do it too easily fantastic i love that
Tysm this is the first time I’ve ever been able to do this ❤
At twenty six 🥲
Im 8 and can do this just from your tutorial!

Can you do a video on how to double Dutch braids to the front please?
It's a French braid in reverse.
Thank you sooo much for teaching me how to do a Dutch braid ! I have trying to do a Dutch braid on my daughters hair for around 2 weeks and this helped ❤❤
The under is so hard to get. But practice makes perfect! Thank you for your help learning beautiful hairstyles. The tangle teezer brush you recommended is still my favorite brush ever and I'm 56. Love you girlie.v💋❤️
Oh I love that 😊I use my TT every day! I’m glad you love yours ❤thank you for the comment!
I love this braid so much! I had so much trouble Dutch braiding hair before-this video and your French braid video was so incredibly helpful!
Easy to say then to do
You make it look so easy may arms were killing me trying to do this
thank you so much
This was incredible helpful!! Thank you
I’m so fumble-fingered with my own hair and I have the same problem someone else mentioned: tired arms!! Practice isn’t making perfect. 😢
This shit is HARD! Tried with both my girls and I'm so fustrated. Needs a lot of patience and practice
Ahhhh thank you!!! Love these simple tutorials!!! 🥹😍🤩
Section section section section section section section lol 😂😂😂
Girl my mother is doing this for the first day of school I love it
Thanks a lot, was easy to understand.❤
Finally! Thank you for the easy instructions ❤
Ive french braides peoples hair but not my own. My hair is thick and hatd to manage. Never tried dutch braiding but i wanna try bc it looks similar to cornrow, which i cannot do
About halfway through every time my brain freaks out and I start going over and ruin the whole thing!
This is so helpful!!! Thank you so much!! 😊
Thanks! I think I just did the first decent-looking Dutch braid of my life 😊
Ive watched so many tutorials and never getting it but your tutorial taught me how to do my hair into dutch hair braid huhu thank you so so so so so much! Another core memory ! 💞🥲🌈🥹🥰
For the first time ever I was able to
Do a Dutch braid.
I can’t figure out how to move my fingers like that does anyone else have that problem?
Thank you! This helped me.
You should pick domestic not social braid's they look better
Much loveee 💕💕💕
So aesthetic ✨
When your short hair has layers so you can't make it look good
I WISH. I don't have the hand/ finger coordination to do this blind behind my head 😒
So basically you French braid but instead of going over with your hair you go under
It’s a reverse French braid, I started braiding my hair like this s few weeks ago.
I can do any braid I’ve ever tried on someone else’s hair but struggle to do it on my own. The angle messes with me and I never know how to hold the hair. So much easier when it’s someone else’s hair 😢
I did try it. Great!
Is this just a French braid, but backwards? lol
Thank you. My girlfriend loved it!
Beautiful 😍
Thank you!
Best tutorial ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for showing!
Thanks for the comment!
People who have dutch braids on right now

Thank you so much, this was the clearest instructions on this braid, now i just gotta do it 😢
Thank you very much! You are very helpful!

Great video
So helpful!!
Thank you! I really struggle with doing French or Dutch braiding my hair, it’s so long and thick! This made it look so easy! ❤
Yay! You're so welcome. I hope it helps!!
Method is so easy to do ❤
I am doing this braid since my childhood 😅
That's is a Franch one
Wow did it in one try!! 🎉 I always thought this was so hard
So is Dutch braiding just doing a regular braid but adding in hair to each side every time?
Exactly!! You got it!
Does anyone know how to start from the very front of your head
Me with curly hair 😢
We always called this a cornrow.
Thank you for an easy tutorial 😊
I don't understand ir going þo fast
I’m going to be 40 this year and I have ALWAYS loved the look of the Dutch braid but only ever could French braid.
I’ve tried soooo many times but could never get it right.
I’m literally in shock that i watched this video and I actually DID IT!!! 😭😭
Granted…I accidentally left one small strand one on the bottom. But my arms hurt and I got the rest right so I don’t care 😂
THANK YOU!!!
I don’t know what magic is in this video but I actually successfully Dutch braided my hair for the first time in my life and I’m ridiculously and stupidly excited. Little me would be so happy. 😂😂
Good tutorial
Simple and to the point
I know how to Dutch braid and I always where Dutch braided hairstyles and get so many compliments. One person asked if it was my real hair🤣 yes honey, it is lmao

I wish I had a third hand to help me with this
I could literally never😭
It didn’t work for me 😢😢😢😭😭😭

I've done this for years but always heard it referred to as a reverse French braid...and I live in a Dutch community and my dad's side of the family are 100% Dutch...🤷♀️

Mine is so bumpy and uneven
How is this for beginners
