    Next time you guys check out Linkin Park, I highly recommend "Points Of Authority" or "Don't Stay". You can pick literally any song from the first two albums and you are guaranteed to strike gold, absolute perfection from start to finish! 🤘🤘🤌🤌

    • @Rayvn7
      @Rayvn7 Рік тому

      "Don't Stay" is not even on the first two albums. And the other song you mentioned is called "Points And Authority" on several recordings and on one of the first two I believe it is also called something else.

    • @wcanderton
      @wcanderton Рік тому +2

      @@Rayvn7 Don't Stay is track 2 on Meteora after the intro, and it's Points Of Authority off of the debut album Hybrid Theory. Every other title it has had has been a remix, such as Pts. Of. Athrty.

    • @Rayvn7
      @Rayvn7 Рік тому

      @Wesley Anderton ...Since all you did was repeat me, other than your weird addition of the incorrect alleging of "Hybrid Theory as debut album", there was absolutely no reason for you to submit a comment other then to repeat someone else.

    • @Rayvn7
      @Rayvn7 Рік тому

      @Dray Dawg Points of Authority is first recorded with that title on the Hybrid Theory studio album I believe. Don't Stay was first recorded with Chester one of the albums from 1999 - 2001 but obviously no one is going to know from the top of their head which specific album(s) contain it since the only difference in what those albums are called is the number of tracks they contain.
      ....So yes, okay, actually it is possible that Don't Stay is in fact on one of the first two CD-based albums, though we would not know whether or not it was included on the casette. I don't actually know without looking. However, you just literally specifically stated that you were talking about the recording of Don't Stay from Meteora, and therefore specifically were NOT referring to any of the songs from the first four albums. As for Points of Authority, that title first appeared on either the Hybrid Theory studio album or the very last Demo before it, and therefore OBVIOUSLY can't be on either or the first two albums because those versions are not even titled Points of Authority they are titled Points And Authority!

      @@Rayvn7 "American rock band Linkin Park have released seven studio albums, three live albums, two compilation albums, two remix albums, three soundtrack albums, 12 video albums, 10 extended plays, 35 singles, 20 promotional singles, and 66 music videos. Linkin Park was formed in Agoura Hills, California, in 1996 by Mike Shinoda (vocals, keyboards, samplers and guitars), Brad Delson (guitar), and Rob Bourdon (drums). Joe Hahn (turntables) and Dave Farrell (bass) were later recruited, and in 1999, Chester Bennington (lead vocals) became a member, staying with the band until his death in 2017." "Linkin Park rose to international fame in 2000 with their debut album Hybrid Theory, " demo tapes don't count.
      Slipknot's 'Mate, Feed, Kill, Repeat' doesn't count. Three Days Grace's demo self titled before their actual self titled debut album doesn't count.

    Awesome, this is one of my favorite Linkin Park songs! This takes me back to my youth, I was excited to hear this song on MTV every morning before school when this song came out.
    The first 2 Linkin Park albums are very sentimental for me, they were my first introduction into metal before I became a Metal Head in my teens.
    Linkin Park is a very special band for a lot of people who have dealt with trauma or mental health issues, much like Korn and Slipknot are.

You would have had literally zero things about Linkin Park besides Hybrid Theory studio album, Meteroa studio album, LIT album and maybe possibly might Reanimation! There was about 1,000 die-hard LA based Linkin Park fans there from their fanclub the LP Underground. A message appeared on the fansite message board asking all fans who lived in Las Angeles if they wanted to be in the next Linkin Park music video to go to "secret" location on this day in all black and had to be at least 18 years old. They had more fans show up than they needed because everyone wanted to be in the music video. You can actually find the behind-the-scenes video of this where it shows them making this music video. It is definitely worth watching because it is funny.

      Faint wasn't changed on LIT at all. Only thing in it is the counting and audience. Audience songs are awesome and Linkin Park is good enough to do that more then any other band, but mere audience mic and one single instance of counting isn't exactly a "version". Aside from that it is literally exactly the same as HT album. Not even a noticeably different model of guitar or anything.

      STOP SAYING THIS SHIT!!! YOU HAVE TO LOTERALLY BE A NARCISSIST! ....Seriously, you're "surprised" that Chester is being accused of killing himself but yet you also thought they he literally wrote more then 30 songs about killing himself?!?! You're so insanely dense and narcissistic that even "In the End" somehow moronically can't be recognized as a chorus written by someone who might kill themself, let alone all of the other songs with much more obvious, emotional lyrics like "Forgotten". ...Oh no, they have to ACTUALLY kill themself first and then you very moronically say "Oh wow, they wanted to kill themself? How surprising. Everybody is really surprised. That guy seemed really content with his life while he wrote numerous songs about how no one will listen and his father is abusive and nothing matters in the end and the world is embraced in gray, and in addition to literally every single song (at least on the studio albums we knew about the time) for multiple years with zero exemptions being about that topic, it's also the ONLY way in which we know anything about that person. For example they aren't a personal friend who writes dark poetry, no, I know them ONLY by the poetry and I STILL claim that anyone would be remotely surprised and "the songs are different afterwards". Well in that case you fucking narcissist, why didnt you listen to the songs the first fucking time in 2001 then? Uh you know, not being evil while doing so. Linkin Park was LITERALLY called "the band for cutting yourself" by bullies who would say that people are bad somehow solely because they cut themselves. Yet somehow you're "surprised" by the myth that he killed himself and "the song lyrics feel different now" because you believe the myth. So why the fuck weren't the song lyrics the same for you the first time then? YOU are the reason that somebody you know has or will kill themselves! YOU are the person ignoring them and claiming that a song that is literally titled "Forgotten" has no important emotional effect unless the man who you thought was the author is already dead.

You assume like I should have paid attention to every single lyric in all their songs despite that is 2001 I was all but the wise age of 8. Also, I wasn't really a huge fan of band back then and honesty their still not my favorite. There are plenty of songs that I haven't listen to yet. I wrote that comment not based on the lyrics but rather on how Chester sang it. To hear him scream "I won't be ignored" does in hindsight hit bit different.

    FUN FACT: Back in the day there was (and still is) a Linkin Park fansite called the LPU (Linkin Park Underground). You paid by year to gain access. One day, they posted a message saying basically "everyone here who lives in the LA area and can come to [specific location] on [specific day], come down and wear all black. You'll be in our video. See ya there." So every single one of those people in the crowd are oldschool LPU members. I remember being 14 and wishing so badly I lived in LA lol.

    Faint from LP's Meteora album is classic Linkin Park. But check out some of their later stuff as well. Still has the back and forth between Mike and Chester too like Waiting for the end, Bleed it Out, Blackout, Lost in the echo, Castle of Glass, Rebellion. I recommend listening to the live performances. They sound way better.

    Wouldn’t mind seeing you guys do some of their newer stuff, even a few from A Thousand Suns. Hell, can even go Lost in the Echo, which is another one featuring Mike.

    While I do love the first two LP albums, I can say as I have gotten older the later Albums have become my favourites. Waiting for the End is my favourite song of theirs and The Hunting Party is my favourite album. When I was a teen-early 20s I was able to connect with the early albums but in my later 30s I connect with the later albums way more, which makes sense, the later songs dealing with more adult content.

    The Crawling song is called, of course, "Crawling". You already know half the album if not all of it (besides two songs), because you were, um, alive, in 2001. Ignore all these idiots who keep listing songs from STUDIO albums, besides Hunting Party (who's songs aren't as famous). So god damn annoying people recommending obvious studio songs. Listen to Demos, truly showing what makes Linkin Park great, they did NOT have all the same sings (as each other) on Hybrid Theory album, they did NOT "change their sound as a band" EVER except to reduce the participation of the rest of the band members. And even to reduce the participation of Mike as a vocalist (but he did write most of the songs, both lyrics and non-Joe-parts of music). Firstly pick a song you know really well, and listen to it from the Demo albums before Hybrid Theory. For example, listen to Crawling in the "Bubbles version". As rappers with complete rapper slang/personality, this dude even literally said "dough" instead of "though". In that case I think you would like the tracks of Linkin Park that are Joe Hahn's tracks, who is the person you referred as "the DJ" and he has released several tracks he did by himself on the LPU albums. (But the LPU albums also have instrumentals that were done by Mime as well as instrumentals from the whole band, so look for a track that is specifically by Joe, Joe Hahn, or "Mr. Hahn". LP has never said it or admitted it, but it's clear that the studio had severely watered down all the tracks for HT album and Meteroa album, with only rarely is it being an improvement. And by the way, the people claiming to listen to Jay-Z's Linkin Park album are also stupid, the songs are remixes all the time and the Jay-Z shit is the absolute worst one. But you might like it because you are rappers but it's terrible in comparison to anything else that Linkin Park has done and it's also terrible in comparison to all other "alternate versions" of songs or rather the ones that a non-fan would believe are alternates. (In reality, the version put on a studio album is often the actual alternate.)
    The best "regular release album" song from "the popular era" of Linkin Park is "P5ng Me A*wy*. The best version of that song is from the Live In Texas album, not the Reanimation album. The Reanimation version has more "sound effects", but in this case the song is better played more straight.

    • @Rayvn7
      @Rayvn7 Рік тому

      It's also possible that "P5ng Me A*wy" would sound less awesome to people who has not heard "Pushing Me Away" (Hybrid Theory studio album) first, because it might seem less unique and cool as a standalone song, but then seem really really unique and cool as "a new song of the other song". And in this case yes it was actuay made or written after "Pushing Me Away" was written, and was not written and released before it like in many other cases.
