He's known for his SCREAMING. I'm a 48 black guy from Baltimore.. 90s hip hop all day.. I've lost count how many times LP has saved my life. Mr. Bennington I will forever love your voice. LP greatest rock band ever for me
Made me smile today! 😊
Why you include "black guy"
@@Chadler1 Cause it's kinda relevant tbh, Linkin Park was one of the fusion bands that hip hop and rock fans could jam to together back in the day. It's hard to remember for some people now because it's been the mainstream for a while now, but it really wasn't that long ago that rap/hip hop was vilified, barely even considered as music by a lot of people, and a lot of the people who perpetuated that were rock n roll fans. Idk how old you are, maybe you weren't around then. Being white and listening to hip hop or being black and listening to rock/metal in the 90's/early 2000's got you a lot of dirty looks.
They saved so many lives brother LP FOREVER
I’m 48 and LP have always been one of my favs. Their music and lyrics are very relatable to me. RIP Chester
Linkin Park was the voice of a generation. The angst that we all felt but were told to suppress for years was suddenly being voiced. We finally felt like we were not alone, someone actually understood
RIP Chester. All these years later and it still hurts.
Still hurts like hell 😔
Everyday it hurts
@@ThaOriginalGangsta77 tbh the best artist for me since i was young never forgot him
Chester had the most insane voice and ability to put emotions into his vocals. In the song "Given Up" he hit the most unbelievable growl, still gives me goosebumps, pushed his lungs to the limit.
Chester singing rollin in the deep. Shows the soft side of his incredible voice
That shit broke me bcuz I didnt see it til after his suicide yo 😭 he could sing, scream, yell ...voice of a angel...scream of a demon 💔
Up
Easier to Run is much better for that, especially since its actually by them. Better for them to react to their original music then the covers, unless its Disturbed doing Sound of Silence.
The soft version of his voice is great in Leave out all the rest too.
Also "waiting for the end" shows his soft side
Asia you said the perfect thing about LP...theraputic! I have been through some really tough times in my life, and I would always put their music on LOUD and just listen,sing,cry....they got me through so much with their lyrics..as did Scott Stapp and CREED....Thank you for saying that. RIP Chester, there will truly never be another like him xo
I think I was the only black kid in the hood rocking out to Linkin Park in my Caddi with the music loud lol. Thanks for doing this!!!!! Awesome reaction!
I gotta comment late. As a white kid back then with social anxiety, we thought you were the coolest kid out there lol.
I was right there with you. I WAS INTO TRAPT DISTURBED SHINEDOWN ROCK MUSIC IN GENERAL AND LP JUST SPOKE TO ME MUSICALLY FROM HYBRID THEORY.
“Meaningful” and “therapeutic” PERFECTLY describe their music. ALL of it. Unfortunately people tend to over analyze the lyrics and video and don’t just FEEL the music first. Just let it mean whatever it means to YOU. The tragic loss of Chester now causes everyone to immediately focus all the lyrics to him and his life experiences....but their song were created and crafted by the entire band. Yes, the lyrics are very meaningful to them and they do share their deep emotions...but they’ve also created them to be open enough for people to connect with and to feel not so alone. They sing and perform from the heart and it shows...you can feel it. Years ago when I had decided that I needed to separate from my husband of ten yrs, with our daughter, because it was a horribly toxic situation, their song
“Waiting for the End”
came out. I remember hearing it on the radio for the first time, as I was driving from work to pick my daughter up from daycare, and the lyrics hit me like a ton of bricks. But in a therapeutic way. I burst into tears. But I needed to. I got there and sat in the car until I was calm enough, because I didn’t want my daughter to be worried. But the words...
“the hardest part of ending is starting again”
...felt so personal to me, and I can’t explain how much it helped to listen to that song often. It may not relate to the same situation they intended it to, but it made just as much impact. I will be forever grateful to them for that. And all the rest of their beautifully crafted music will forever carry Chester’s incredibly, raw pure talent and soul, forever💗🤘
Well said
LP is some good medicine.
Please do their performance of A Place for my Head- live in Texas 2003
Honestly their live performances are so much better than studio.
Chester Bennington: Sings like an Angel, screams like a Demon.
As well as more Linkin Park. You should check out the stuff he made with Grey Daze.
There Colabs with Jay Z are EPIC!!!
You guys nailed this👍 A lot of messages in their songs. You can always feel the emotion coming out of Chester.
One of the few bands that sounds better live than recorded. Gotta check out Points of authority\ Jay Z performance. One of the best collaborations ever.
Jay Z's reaction to Chester's vocals at the end is legendary.
"A Place For My Head" is a must! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Chester's lyrics were also my thoughts. I completely connected with him. The album Metora helped me get through some hard times. There will never be another one like him. Gone too soon 😿
Chester sounds like a banshee when he goes nuclear...
She nailed it with LP are therapeutic.
I still remember clearly being in college and overhearing a conversation between two friends. One was complaining and sounding down about something, and the other said, "Listen to some Linkin Park; you need more angry white boy music in your life."
I just had to smile. LP will scream those bad thoughts out of your head.
I love how Asia is a natural singer, and even though this isn't her natural genre...she is bobbing her head and paying attention so closely...as every other good musician would.
Please check out Papercut & Points of Authority!
When they mashed this with Jay Z Chester hit a hard growl at the end and Jay Z facial expression was priceless.. like wtf my guy!! Lol.. great reaction guys!!!
I agree with you. He is perfect for rock!!! The whole band is amazing!!
Chester voice Will be forever remembered Just as Fred Mercury from queen, react to Chester singing adele -rolling in the deep
Next from the inside 👍
If you want to hear Chester growl, I feel the best song is "Cross off" by Mark Morton and Chester on vocals. The song is soooooo Underrated!!!!
he is not growling in Cross Off, more on Qwerty Live i think :)
@@matts42 Yea it isn't like the standard harsh growls. But it is more than what was done when singing LP songs. There are so sections of Cross off that are more in the growl category than the typical grit he used.
OH I FORGOT ABOUT THAT ONE
This is one of my favorites from them. I love to workout to this song.
Oh, daaaang! The first time you're hearing a growl. You definitely need to go down the Linkin Park rabbit hole. That was Chester's jam -- melodic singing voice and cuh-razy scream!
I sing this word for word and I both revel in the amazingness that is LP but also cry because I soooo miss Chester and their music.
If you want to hear more screams, I recommend:
From The Inside
One Step Closer
REALLY, 99% of the songs, he screams in.
Bless you, Asia :)
Checkout Linkin Parks "Guilty All the Same"...."Lost in the Echo"...."Leave Out All the Rest"
From the Inside by Linkin Park
No More Sorrow by Linkin Park please
This is one of my favorites. When I was deployed to Afghanistan we would pump this song full blast to get ready to go on our missions. It’s a hype type song🤘
Hearing you both talk about how supportive a band Linkin Park is, how they've helped millions of people-myself included-get through difficult times with their music and I can't help but think of the greatest irony of all... Tragically, it didn't stop Chester from killing himself. RIP Chester, you will always be loved, remembered, and appreciated for everything you have put into this world.
After the tragedy of what happened to Mr. Bennington, I couldn't listen to or lip sync some of my favorite Linkin Park songs without wanting to get teary-eyed. A good while back I decided it was long enough for grieving and I finally got back to being able to at least lip sync some of my favorite Linkin Park songs finally without tearing up. Especially this song, One Step Closer and Papercut. Continued condolences and sympathy to Chester's own family and friends, and band mates.
RIP CHESTER. YOUR AT PEACE NOW. YOUR MUSIC LIVES ON.😔🙏🙏🙏🎶🎶❤❤.
You want to hear Chester sing!! Listen to his cover of Adel rolling in the deep. That’s the one and only time linking park did a cover.
My favorite group Linkin Park 💙 ♥
Easier to run, My December, and Hit the floor
Grey Daze was Chester Bennington first band early 90s,awsome band
You’ve gotta check out Linkin Park “Catalyst”
Linkin Park is so cathartic sometimes.
Linkin Park got my generation through high school. This album and hybrid theory are still my defaults after a rough day
Before 2000, Chester was in Grey Daze, then in Linkin Park until we know when :( Solo project(Dead by Sunrise 2009), a short colaboration with Stone Temple Pilots around 2015
I think we've all felt the way he has in these songs at some time or another. For some of us, it's life-long. Chester wrote his songs to help himself and to help others. That was his gift to us. All these years later, it's still painful to know that he's gone.
ty for mentioning that LP is a therapeutic group
Linkin Park kept me from committing suicide when I was a teenager. This music had a HUGE impact on young people when it came out because there was nothing else like it. Linkin Park did then what NF does for people now.
Mike Shinoda doing a solid job nowadays ,writing very good songs, you should check out Mikes solo stuff also, biggest heart.
Lol guys rule number one reacting to Linkin Park. There is NEVER a good time to pause ...lol great video guys
You really need to start doing Linkin park live. They are so much better.
The Catalyst-live VMA's 2010
Faint-Rock am Ring-2007
New Divide- live in Red Square
The Messenger- Live in Madrid
Place for my Head-live in Texas
Wish-Rock am Ring 2004
I could go on- Lol
RIP Chester. Miss you
He was in Gray Daze and Dead by Sunrise. All really good!
That blunt got her she was like wtf 😂👍😂
"QWERTY" live in Tokyo 2006. Chester is a beast!
Check out Cross Off, it's from Mark Morton, it's the last song Chester recorded, and he actually raps on part of it
Linkin park has so many great songs and stone temple pilots are another great band to get into r.i.p chester
please react to Linkin Park - Leave Out All The Rest. It shows another aspect of what linkin park can do.
Thank you 🙏 their greatest song in my opinion as a HUGE fan. Shows the best of the whole group. Shinoda has bars, Chester was the best singer of all time #RIP
Chester can sing anything 🤘🤘 check out live Linkin park,it's even better 🤘🎶🎸🤘🎶🎸
Not only is the music unique/awesome,the lyrics are sooooooo relatable.💖💖💖Yas from 🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿
You should watch them perform this song live at Rock AM Ring!! The ending is INCREDIBLE, it’s different from the studio version 😬
Oh god, please do more Linkin, you will LOVE. I get teary eyed every time I hear this.
You gotta do "Given up" ! ❤
They already did, but they should do the Live at AOL sessions
Therapeutic is best way to describe them. RIP Chester
*Please react to Linkin Park: Pushing Me Away, Don’t Stay and Lying From You.*
The version (or better, the whole album) "Live in Texas" rocks even more... RIP Chester
My fav LP song of all time
RIP Chester
He does a cover of rolling in the deep you should react too
Love your channel. You guys really should check out Breaking the habit. One of my personal favorite. The video plus the song. 🔥🔥
New sub here love the vibes. From your walk this way video yes its considered the first collab. The second is bring the noise from public enemy and anthrax. These 2 songs created a new genre of music called new metal of which limp bizcut was born
iam just thinking how when I seen them live they had so many great songs and the crowd was always so rocking and sometimes Chester would choose a song to slow things down but there concerts were always a ton of fun.
From the Inside Official Music Video by Linkin Park please.
Would love to see you guys reacting to "little things give you away" live and "the messenger" live. Both show just how beautiful Chester's voice was
One of my favorite songs. Ever. Great reaction 💜
Great reaction...You should give EVERYONE a treat and react to their Collab with JZ "Collision Course" of this this.... "Jigga What/Faint" make sure and do the LIVE at The Roxy version. EPIC.
You can check their first ever single One Step Closer from their album Hybrid Theory. Most of chester's growls where on their earlier albums.
that's Chester , God Rest his tortured soul, Rest in peace Chester...
Still missing you Chester!
God bless his soul no one can take his place he was the legendary and king of alternative rock
Chester commited suicide..but he was one of the best singers in the history of music..the world of music is way worse without him 🙏miss him so much
RIP Chester ❤️
He was working with Chris Cornell on shining a light on human trafficking bc he had been a victim as well.
Now they're both gone and it's always going to hurt. 😔
And I'll say it, no way they committed suicide.
It seems that in the shadow of one talented singer hid another brilliant musician. Most of the music and lyrics of the first two albums were written by Mike, in the following albums Mike and Chester wrote the lyrics and then agreed with each member of the band so that everyone liked it. Mike was the lead songwriter in the band. Most of the time he wrote lyrics that Chester sang, and sometimes he wrote from his own perspective, sometimes from Chester, sometimes from both.
Maybe you would like listen to Linkin Park - Breaking the habit. Mike wrote this song for his friend and for Chester. Chester cried when he recorded this song, but this song changed his life.
Y’all need to do one more light and battle symphony
Ooooh, great choice. One of those songs I can sing along to (for 90% at least... not yet 100% ;-) )
Linkin park prevented me from going through depression. Rip Chester.
One step closer. 2004 live. Whole different experience live.
Linkin park cover of rolling in the deep. You won't be disappointed 🤘
Their songs are like therapy for your soul.
Want to hear the best growl/scream? Given Up. MIND blowing.
Bless You, Asia
Papercut- Linkin Park (alittle but more of a throwback then what you guys are listening to rn) they are so versatile. They have heavy and soft songs. It makes them one of the GOAT
Also he does a lot of growls in there older sons
R.I.P. to Chester he is absolutely awesome
Check out the "Feint/Jigga What" mash up with JayZ.
There's also Bleed It Out...that's a good ol' foot stomper for sure.
And of course, I gotta mention Given Up when talking about Chester's screams (AOL Sessions is good, but any good live performance will do me thinks)
Guns N Roses - November Rain, it's a masterpiece of a song classic rock!
I like rock and metal bands they have a different style of bringing the same problems across in music than rap, but I enjoy both.
Chester Bennington sings like an angel and screams like a demon.
One Step Closer and Points of Authority are two of my favorite videos from Linkin Park
I love ❤️ there song 🎶 Papercut!
Please react to Grey Daze, Chesters first Band. The music is so beautiful. And much more LP please :)
Cosima Ho Chester's son James is now a part of Grey Daze.
How many emotions in the songs of "Linkin Park"!
You need to do some Linkin Park and Jay Z mixes. Amazing!!!!
check out his song from his band Dead by Sunrise. inside of me and Let down.
GREAT JOB!!! you should check out the MASH-UP'S W/ JAY-Z
Really too bad you didn’t do the Live at Rock am Ring 2007 version
Would be worth reacting to the live version tbh. Chesters vocals are insane there
UP
Live is always inferior
@@yoyolol22 not with all artists. Stop playing around
@@yoyolol22 it's hard to get a high quality version, I'll give you that, but performance energy and talent can come thru better with certain cases.
@@yoyolol22 nope. The studio doesn’t accurately reflect the energy
react to Linkin Park - From The Inside live rock am ring 2004
I grew up listenin’ to Linkin Park and i’ll always love them 🖤🖤
