I've been avoiding the crafting order system the whole xpac, as I can not stand spamming trade chat. This would definitely make the system useable for me. Great vid, hope blizz pay attention!

Sadly a futile effort. Profession dev is one, not a crafter or two, anti-goblin. Thing is "professionals" are a dying breed. "Crafters" are not essential and all that these changes have done is smother them and briefly entertain the casuals that dropped it as soon as the shiny novelty became a chore. Only the hardest of HC are manning the AH and crafting tables. You gave up. I gave up, and many others as well. Great job Blizz.
So true. I was a pretty hardcore goldmaker before this. Goldmaking was the main way I played the game. Dragonflight made me quit goldmaking and shortly after I quit the game entirely.
Well said. Never spent this little time @ professions EVER. Not even as a learning newbie early TBC. As soon as I learnt about professions (took time) I got into it since I had heard that making gold in WoW was super hard. Perfect challenge! Among other hard things on my list

@blizzdevs, Alpha access for Manthieus!?!?!? This looks good overall. Will need additional background systems to manage the queue of crafters. To avoid one crafter from sitting at the top, it may be necessary to add a limit on # of personal orders a crafter can have (Lets say 4) before his name disappears from the list. Also, the crafter list should use FIFO system where a crafter who lists his name first should show up at the top by default (Sellers should have the ability to sort by Price, Quality, Name, Status, etc)
You mean they are going to actually continue this into the next expansion?! Seems like they implement something new and radical (covenants and Legendary Gear in Shadowlands) which gets so much backlash it stays only in that expansion. I'd not be unhappy if it gets scraped...
This runs entirely antithetical with Blizzard's goal of making crafting more social. If you don't want to talk another player and make gold, the AH is there for you. Trade chat is fine. The only issue with it is that people confuse it with the services channel.
Yeah this would be great, it's the kind of thing I was hoping for in the beginning before I became so jaded. They actually just need to delete craft quality. Outside of the first few weeks of the expansion literally no one is interested in lower ranked gear.
Your idea is good buy only if they never changed to the concentration system. The Concentration system just eliminates one person to only have a short window of crafting potential and once its expended then it's someone elses turn. I think they will keep the current system. So i wont be focusing on crafting orders in trade chat. Most people just wanna log in have a look at the orders craft them then log out.
The crafters list always seems to have rubbish no mat items on their for people to use for their weekly rather then actual real crafts for their weekly. I ignore it most of the time these days
I need to make gold for the next expan. Give me some advices. Im selling a lot of mats but gold is low.
Do i need provide all mats in guild orders in TWW ?

It would be great if they just keep the tree as is and make crafted items BOE, in this case fair crafting competition. Also crafters will focus and build their knowledge tree based on what they think it will sell good or take chances on random items
So an additional consideration could be optional reagents, since those can impact the skill requirement. Also it would be nice if posting a listing for the item could also show up as a posting for a recrafting order.
They should scrap the whole profession system and go back to how it was before.
Why? What you dont like about this new prof system?
@@stormk-1130 Work orders are annoying and pay next to nothing, the prof system takes forever to level and still isn't very profitable, profession gear is annoying, if you fall behind in knowledge points there is no catchup, competition is absurdly high. It all boils down to not being as profitable and fun as the old system.
